When Llandry Sanfaer discovers a new type of jewel, her life changes forever. Wonderful and terrible, the gem exerts a strange influence over those who behold it. Soon people are dying for it, and Llandry herself becomes a target. This is only the beginning. What is this starry jewel, that no one can resist? Who is the killer that stalks the night, stealing the gems from their murdered owners? And why does the gem call so powerfully, so irresistibly, to Llandry herself? Kila an Movis is an Enforcer. Gods-gifted with an extraordinary ability to piece together physical clues, he’s entrusted with protecting the vulnerable from crime. But his habit of expressing his opinions a little too freely earned him a nine-year banishment to the wilds, and he’s determined to be more circumspect upon his return to the trade city. When someone close to Cianne dies and Kila is called out to investigate the scene, her world and his collide once more. His long absence hasn’t driven the memory of him from her heart, but the woman he encounters isn’t the child he remembers. Unwilling to trust anyone else, Cianne enlists Kila’s help. The deeper they dig, the more secrets they unearth about her father, the other House members, and her entire life—until Cianne discovers that House Staerleigh is built on a foundation of lies.

(Approx. 200,000 words total.) Books included: 1. Death's Hand 2. The Darkest Gate 3. Dark Union DEATH'S HAND Elise Kavanagh doesn't want to hunt demons anymore. It's been five years since she killed her last enemy, and life has been quiet since then. She went to college. Got a job, and then lost it. Made a friend or two. Lived a normal life. Now her former partner, a powerful witch named James Faulkner, wants Elise to fight one more time. The daughter of a coven member has been possessed, and Elise is the only exorcist nearby. Becoming a hero again would mean risking discovery by old enemies. But digging into the case reveals that it might already be too late–bodies are disappearing, demons slither through the night, and the cogs of apocalypse are beginning to turn. Some enemies aren't willing to let the secrets of the past stay dead… THE DARKEST GATE When Elise Kavanagh retired from demon hunting, she swore it would be permanent. But an attack from a powerful necromancer forced her back into the business, and now she's trying to balance her normal boyfriend and normal job with everything supernatural. Mr. Black is a demon hunter gone rogue. He's enslaving angels and stealing ethereal artifacts in pursuit of forbidden immortality, and an old grudge drives him to make his final stand in Elise's territory. Destroying her life and killing her friends isn't the goal, but it's a definite perk. A demonic overlord offers to join against Mr. Black and protect Elise's loved ones. All she needs to do is ally with the demons she's sworn to kill, at the cost of her morals–and maybe her immortal soul. But once she crosses that line, there's no turning back. Nothing is sacred when Heaven and Hell collide on Earth… DARK UNION Every fifty years, the most powerful ethereal and infernal beings convene on Earth to resolve conflicts with mediation by kopides–humans born to police relations between Heaven and Hell. They're meeting in Elise Kavanagh's territory this year, and she used to be the greatest kopis in the world. But she's not invited. An old friend, Lucas McIntyre, asks her to attend the summit in his place. But when she arrives, she discovers that a human faction called The Union has taken charge of the summit, and they're not playing nice. Worse yet, someone has killed a prominent Union member… and now they're demanding blood.

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author D.K. Holmberg. "Sensers, shapers, draasin, nymid—this series started off strong by showing a new side of fantasy" — Bryce, Goodreads reviewer Tan is an earth senser and a skilled tracker—talents which are wasted cleaning out stables. He should be excited when he's told to guide the king's most important servant through the mountains that surround his village, but as far as Tan is concerned, being given a task for the king is akin to a death sentence. But Tan soon learns that there are things worse than a death sentence. Terrifying creatures from dark and dangerous Incendin, a place long locked away by shaper magic, have returned—and they've destroyed everything Tan has ever loved. Now Tan must help the king's servant find an ancient artifact, the only thing that can stop the Incendin evil. And to do so, he must gain the trust of Amia, a beautiful wanderer who has lost just as much as Tan. "This is a great fantasy story. Full of chases and romance and battles… I was hard-pressed to put it down." — Dreya, online review "I have just finished the 8th book in this series, my advice to someone who is considering buying this book would be to JUST DO IT." — Shannon K. Steeped in Finnish and Russian mythology,  Cry of the Firebird  is a fantasy that would appeal to fans of  American Gods  by Neil Gaiman, C.Gockel's  I Bring the Fire  series and Sergei Lukyanenko's  Night Watch .   "On a fairy tale level,  Cry of the Firebird  displays a gleeful innocence, but this is far from a Disney rendition of the Grimm stories. It's an adult novel, from the first word to the very last. Kuivalainen starts her narrative with the roots of Russian mythology, deftly blending in Grimm tales, classic Greek and Norse mythology, and a real world setting with satisfying results. From the first page, a perilous plot of powers, magic, and monsters is promised. Kuivalainen in no way reneges on that promise."   Four Stars -Self Publishing Review "Fantasy fans will likely enjoy Anya's adventures, which feature novel supernatural elements in a modern setting…the story incorporates a fair share of surprises, and never fails to provide new scenes featuring bloodshed and strange new creatures."  Kirkus Reviews   After the murder of Anya's shaman grandfather, Tuoni the Finnish God of the Dead, arrives to give her a mission; awaken her magic and take up the family mantle of Gate Keeper to Skazki, the Otherworld, before monsters and dark gods break in and start a war in the real world.    Joined by Yvan, a Skazki prince who can transform into the legendary firebird, Anya is hunted by the prince's dark-magic-wielding brother, and they are forced to flee to Skazki for safety. Fairies tend to break the truce more than humans and that's where I come in. I'm part of a military force who monitors the fey. When they cross the line, we extinguish their light… permanently. I'm Extinguisher Seren Sloane and I can tell you a real fairy's tale, if you're brave enough to listen.

This urban fantasy boxed set contains the first three books of the Preternatural Affairs series: Witch Hunt, Silver Bullet, and Hotter Than Helltown. My name's Cèsar Hawke. I’m a witch working for a division of the government you’ve never heard about. The world’s not what everyone thinks it is—unless you think that our world’s a pawn in a game of chess between Heaven and Hell, and riddled with as much magic and wonder as it is with evil. In that case, the world is exactly what you think. My place of employment—the Office of Preternatural Affairs—takes a modern approach to an ages-old problem. It used to be that inquisitors would burn demons and the people in league with them. Now we get warrants, perform arrests, put the suspects on trial, and send guilty parties back to the Hell from whence they came with the travel forms filled out in triplicate. This stuff I do with the OPA, it saves lives on most days. Most days, I said. About Witch Hunt There are scratches on Cèsar Hawke’s arms, a discharged Glock on his coffee table, and a dead woman in his bathtub. Yeah, maybe he brought the waitress home for some fun—he was too drunk to remember it—but he knows for a fact that he didn’t kill her. He’s an agent with the Office of Preternatural Affairs. He doesn’t hurt people. He saves them. The cops disagree. Now Cèsar is running. Isobel Stonecrow speaks with the dead. She brings closure to the bereaved and heals broken hearts. But when she talks to the wrong spirit, the OPA puts a bounty on her head. Tracking down Isobel is the last case assigned to Cèsar before he bolts. If he finds her, he can prove that he didn’t kill that waitress. He can clear his name, get his job back, and bring justice to all those wronged families. She’s just one witch. He’s bagged a dozen witches before. How hard can one more be? About Silver Bullet Former private investigator Cèsar Hawke has one rule: He doesn’t deal with dead bodies. That’s why he enlisted with the Magical Violations Department in the Office of Preternatural Affairs. He’s happy tracking down witches that commit petty crimes, but he leaves the homicides to other agents. Except that he’s been assigned to a new team—a team that handles special investigations—and the job has suddenly changed. Now Cèsar has to deal with dead bodies. He also has to deal with necromancers, murderous cults, and demons that can stop a man’s heart with fear. This isn’t the job he signed up for, but it’s the job he needs to do. If he survives the first week. About Hotter Than Helltown A killer is mutilating bodies in Los Angeles. Agent Cèsar Hawke is on the case, but the murderer is ahead of him—way ahead of him. Wiping the memories of the dead so that the team’s necrocognitive can’t talk to them? Done. Preventing magical reconstruction of the crime scenes? Oh yeah. And the murders keep getting more brutal while Cèsar struggles to catch up. The best way to heat up a cold case is to go to Helltown, where Los Angeles’s most powerful evil hides out, but even those demons are afraid of the murderer. Their fear adds one more question to the growing pile of unknowns: What kind of bad guy is too hot for Helltown?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Highly recommend this book for lovers of sci-fi!!! I found "The Hyperspace Project" to be an immensely enjoyable read. I kept picturing Harrison Ford, but with the Indiana Jones personality, but in a Blade Runner world as Nick Bannon. The pacing was great, Swan did an awesome job giving just enough description of the new technology and alien races without dragging the story into a grinding halt. The story had a feel good sense that I got from watching "Guardians of the Galaxy" – where you get to know the characters to the point where you actually want to meet them and have a few drinks at a dive bar to hear more stories. The dialogue and writing were top notch – and it was clear that this story was thought out before Swan committed it to paper. With all of the rehashes (really – can we do a Spiderman reboot just one more time please…..) it is nice to meet some new characters in a new adventure – and it doesn't have to end here, since Swan already has book two on the shelves. Highly recommend this book for lovers of sci fi!!!" – Nathan Merceron ★★★★★ "5 star sci-fi adventure – this book is FUN. The start of a new series, Book 1 : Awakenings does not disappoint. It has all the elements I desire in a good space adventure story – a reluctant hero fumbling his/her way through new alien space, interesting and unique aliens, exciting twists and turns, a good overall plot and a whole lot of fun. I am right on board the Hyperspace wagon, eagerly awaiting book 2, which means book 1 gets the OMGMOAR 5 star award from Tracing The Stars." -TracingTheStars.com   ★★★★★ "A lost Queen. An ancient prophecy. Worlds caught in an interstellar war between two malevolent alien races. Hyperspace, Nanites, Biomechanoids with a mysterious past. The Hyperspace Project is non-stop action and lots of fun." -John S. ★★★★★ "An action-packed, fun and intelligent adventure into the unknown." – YourBookAuthors.com ★★★★★"I really enjoyed this book. There is a lot of action, but it's well balanced. If you like Star Trek or shows like Stargate, then I think you'll like this book. Fun characters and a story that flows well. Some good futuristic science too. (Nanites, hyperspace, gadgets etc.) I only wish that the second book was already available. There is also an interesting extra chapter that can be unlocked with clues from the book. That added an extra bit of fun to it as well." -Sara, BestIndieBooks.com ————————————————————— Description: Enemy activity had fallen into an eerie calm, but everyone felt the coming storm—a terrible storm, poised to unleash its fury upon the galaxy. It seemed as though the entire universe was holding its breath. Waiting. Whether waiting for the salvation of mankind or its demise was yet unclear. He set out to prove a theory. Synopsis for the Zaftan Troubles series An alien mining ship discovers a mineral rich planet. Unfortunately, the planet has intelligent beings, an added burden for the aliens. The natives — humans and fantasy creatures — are just entering the Industrial Age so the aliens enjoy a huge technological advantage.. An alien negotiator startles the President by suddenly appearing in his office. Soon, the aliens and the government agree to a deal. In return for permission to mine the minerals, the aliens promise to solve the country's pollution problem caused by using peat as fuel. The aliens parachute down a number of explorer robots to search for mineral deposits in a rural area. The local constable, Leslie Higginbottom, told by the government that the robots will respect property rights, sees a robot damaging property, and she sends a telegraph to Dun Hythe, the capital asking for an explanation. Another robot trespasses on the property of a dwarf gem miner named MacDrakin. Using his battle ax, MacDrakin destroys the machine. Other robots are destroyed by Goyra, a tribal chieftain of the local yuks, because the robots entered tribal lands. The aliens protest the loss of their expensive robots and Dun Hythe instructs the constable via telegram to protect the robots and arrest anyone who destroys a machine. Higginbottom is besides herself. Protecting the robots is contrary to her oath to protect the citizenry. Besides that, MacDrakin, her main squeeze, tells her he killed a second robot and this one actually fired a weapon at him. After that, MacDrakin declares war on the aliens and their machines, collects a few warriors and sets out to drive the aliens away. The aliens, to avoid an unprofitable voyage, decide to overwhelm the natives. Confusion and chaos occur from then on, but in the end, the aliens are driven off the planet and leave behind a treasure trove of advanced technology for the natives to learn from. Three hundred years later, the zaftans and the gundies have an armed encounter in deep space as two powerful fleets of warships face off. While the fleets challenge each other, two females struggle to survive. One, named Sam, is a new type of android with an organic brain. She is perplexed by her unexpected ability to experience emotions. Her primary emotion is loneliness since the softie officers she is supposed to work with treat her with open contempt. The only friendly voice on the battle cruiser is the ship's main computer, called Slash 9, and it has turned rogue and plans to evolve to a softie-like state. Slash 9 is also interested in romancing Sam. Meanwhile, Klatze, a beautiful Zaftan officer blessed with talent and ability, a rarity in the zaftan navy, comes to the attention of the fleet's commodore, Gongeblazn. He lusts after her and her continuous refusals to have sex angers the commodore and his lust turns to thoughts of vengeance. Gongeblazn's desire to slaughter Klatze continues after his navy career is cut short by treachery. Gongeblazn escapes from prison, steals a space ship and embarks on a career in piracy while searching for Klatze. Sam and Klatze each face unique situations that test their mettle and their desire to survive in the midst of chaos.

Alone, Harric must face the temptation of a forbidden magic that could break his curse, but cost him the only woman he’s ever loved. * * * A tale of magic, mischief, and the triumph of tricksters. * * * REVIEWS & TESTIMONIALS "The first volume in Stephen Merlino's 'The Unseen Moon' series, The Jack of Souls is a terrific read from beginning to end and clearly establishes Merlino as a master of the fantasy action/adventure genre. Highly recommended for community library Science Fiction & Fantasy collections…" —MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW * * * "An epic ride, a magical world, and fantastic characters that grab your imagination and won't let go… The Jack of Souls has it all." —Corinne O’Flynn, USA Today Bestselling author of The Expatriates series. * * * "This is a book where characters are on a clock and the stakes are high. Comparisons could easily be drawn with the works of Tolkien or Martin… Merlino weaves a tale of swords and sorcery that somehow finds new ways to take readers down the well-worn path of fantasy literature. Tolkien’s influence can be found in the beautifully described environments of the story and the depth of the cast of well-developed characters. The comparison to Martin is mostly drawn because the Tale of Fire and Ice series is often acclaimed for its interpretation of real-world, human stories through the lens of fantasy." —Awesome Indies 5-star Review "Of all the books I've read in the past couple of years, The Jack of Souls is by far my favorite. Merlino's remarkable imagination and storytelling skills had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through!" —Karen Duvall, author of Darkest Knight, and Demon Fare. * * * "A rich and rewarding new fantasy mythos!" —Rob May, author of Dragon Killer and Roll the Bones. It’s August in Alaska, and geology professor Jack Oswald prepares for the new school year. But when hundreds of huge holes mysteriously appear overnight in the frozen tundra north of the Arctic Circle, Jack receives an unexpected phone call. An oil company exec hires Jack to investigate, and he picks his climatologist wife and two of their graduate students as his team. Uncharacteristically, Jack also lets Aileen O’Shannon, a bewitchingly beautiful young photojournalist, talk him into coming along as their photographer. When they arrive in the remote oil town of Deadhorse, the exec and a biologist to protect them from wild animals complete the team. Their task: to assess the risk of more holes opening under the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and the wells and pipelines that feed it. But they discover a far worse danger lurks below. When it emerges, it threatens to shatter Jack’s unshakable faith in science. And destroy us all… Praise for Hell Holes “I couldn’t put this book down! I started it just after breakfast and finished it around eleven that same night! I loved the way Mr. Firesmith combined science and a bit of paranormal to tell his story. Jahrra knows all about the legends and sagas of Oescienne, but never in her wildest dreams would she believe that she played a part in one of them. Everybody dies. Nobody leaves . . . Award-winning author Scott William Carter returns with a spellbinding tale of a private investigator who bridges both sides of the great divide. After narrowly surviving a near-fatal shooting, Portland detective Myron Vale wakes with a bullet still lodged in his brain, a headache to end all headaches, and a terrible side effect that radically transforms his world for the worse: He sees ghosts. Lots of them. By some estimates, a hundred billion people have lived and died before anyone alive today was even born. For Myron, they're all still here. That's not even his biggest problem. No matter how hard he tries, he can't tell the living from the dead. Despite this, Myron manages to piece together something of a life as a private investigator specializing in helping people on both sides of the great divide–until a stunning blonde beauty walks into his office needing help finding her husband. Myron wants no part of the case until he sees the man's picture … and instantly his carefully reconstructed life begins to unravel. "Carter's writing is on target." – Publishers Weekly "A sultry blonde walks into a detective's office. Big deal, seen it a million times, right? Wrong! THE GHOST DETECTIVE ranks as one of the most ingenious departures from the norm I've seen in a long time … I've always enjoyed Scott William Carter's work, but THE GHOST DETECTIVE takes my admiration to a whole new level. I loved this book. "  – David H. Hendrickson, author of  Cracking the Ice "The Sixth Sense meets Spenser For Hire in Scott William Carter's magnificent Ghost Detective."  - Michael J. Totten, author of Resurrection "Scott is one of those rare writers who can and does cross genres, and do it well. You never know what kind of story you'll get from him, but you do know that it'll be good."  - Kristine Kathryn Rusch, Hugo award-winning author of The Disappeared "Fans of police procedurals with a paranormal twist will enjoy this book. RIFT – The new dystopian trilogy book 1 from the author of the Exodus Trilogy. The RIFT Saga begins here. In the ruins of what was once North America lays the Covenant, a nation forged by the iron will of the Moon people, who descended from their dusty refuge on the Moon after the Fall. The Moon people are wealthy, ruled by a strong government who protects its citizens from the dangers from outside their borders. Their greatest achievement is having learned the secret of immortality, and every citizen has the opportunity to live nearly forever if they choose to, a life of riches and abundance. The English are the descendants of the original inhabitants of this place, and they live very different lives from that of the Moon people. They only live to serve the greater good, and citizenship is something few have the opportunity to earn. At the age of fifty all non-citizens are subjected to mandatory euthanasia. In order to maintain a sustainable society, they are told. Every year a number of girls and boys at the age of eighteen are selected for Service to the State. The brightest and most talented are sent to become Students. The strong, the fighters and the athletes become Janissaries, a band of soldiers protecting the northern border from the enemies of the Covenant. The Wardens, a secretive organization known to operate far to the west, near the Rift, which makes up the border to the wastelands, sometimes choses one or two initiates, but nobody knows what becomes of them. And then there is the Corpus, where the whip rules and backs are bent. Those who complete their Service, may become citizens. And although they will never be equal to the Moon people, they will have access to all the riches and opportunities granted by the Covenant leadership to its citizens. As Sue is nearing Selection Day, she secretly hopes to be chosen, despite having to leave her mother and brother behind. She doesn't crave glory or wealth though. A man or woman with citizen status can do a lot of good, and although few return to their home towns, Sue hopes to return to give her family a better life on the other side of Service. But the Covenant is rotten to the core, and as she begins to learn its secrets, Sue must question everything she has always taken for granted. Soon she will find herself in dire peril, for she has seen the truth and there will be no turning back after that… This science fiction dystopian is set more than two centuries after the events of Exodus, in a future dystopian society forged from the ashes of global disaster. There are some things that really annoy Vervain Lavine. Like when people call her Vivian; “Vervain's an herb, look it up.” Or when people don't get her movie quotes; “Why doesn't anyone appreciate culture anymore?” But what really bothers her, what gets her little witchy panties in a twist, is when gods manipulate humans. “They're not even really gods, just Atlanteans playing dress up!” Yeah, that's right, the gods are Atlanteans. Basically a bunch of refugees who decided to take over. It was a sweet deal for them, at least back when we believed in them and all. Not so much anymore. Nowadays, there ain't too many folks lining up at the altars to give their offerings, and gods are suffering for it. Without our sacrifices, the gods don't have enough juice to keep living in the manner to which they've grown accustomed. So they came up with a plan. It was so easy actually. All they had to do was get us to fight amongst ourselves, go to war. When our kind die, they suck up the energy like a temperature-resistant fat man drinking a milkshake line-up. Not such a bad idea, and it's worked for quite awhile. Up until Vervain found out. Now, don't get the wrong idea. Vervain's no Laura Croft. She can't bench press 200 lbs or shoot laser beams out of her eyes either. She does have magic on her side though and a few little tricks up her sleeve, or up her gloves rather. So she's not completely defenseless and she'll do whatever she has to in order to end this threat of divine proportions. Even if it means assassinating one god at a time. Her greatest annoyance is yet to come though, in the form of a gorgeous Viking God who swears he's on her side. If she can keep her eyes off his leather pants long enough, they might even stand half a chance. This rest of this series is available on Amazon, the second book "Of Gods and Wolves" is available as an ebook or paperback and more of the series is coming soon(7 so far)so keep an eye out for them on Amazon.

>>>For a limited time you can get the Legacy Short Story Collection for free – copy and paste this link on your browser to find out more >>http://ryanattard.com Meet Erik Ashendale: wizard and monster hunter extraordinaire. Cursed from birth with extraordinary healing abilities, at the cost of actual use of magic, Erik rids the city from all that goes bump in the night, sometimes with the help of his demonic talking cat. But now Erik is in for the fight of his life. Seven ancient sources of power have been corrupted and taken the form of demons, the Seven Deadly Sins. One of them, Lust, is after a young succubus and Erik finds himself having to protect her. To make matters worse, the angels have strong-armed their way into our plane, hunting for this mega demon. How can one man survive in a struggle against gods and the primordial forces of the universe? The fate of the world hangs in the balance. Interview with the Author Q – What is the Legacy Series? A – The Legacy Series is an Urban Fantasy novel series about the paranormal adventures of Erik, with frequent appearances of his twin sister Gil, their demon familiars Amaymon and Mephisto, as well a host of other characters, each taken from folklore and mythology. Throughout the novels Erik usually tries to solve a mystery (usually bloody and rife with magic), all the while stopping the rising of the Seven Deadly Sins from taking power, or some other magical being trying to do something terrible. Q – Is there a particular order in which to read the books? A – The series is planned for 13 books but each novel has its own plot line that starts and finishes within that book. So a reader can grab book 2 and still follow onto book 3 and so on, even if they missed out of book 1. Of course, each book does leave clues for the following stories, and even in this one, book 1, I planted seeds for stories yet to come. So far the best way to read the Legacy series is as follows: – Firstborn (book 1) – Birthright (book 2) – Short story collection (only available through my mailing list – see above for a link or a URL to get it for free) Q – What makes this series so unique? A – It's a mixture of things actually. For one thing, it follows the wizard detective trope, so it can get a little hard boiled. But at the same time, I am unable to write without including some terrible jokes or one liners, so there will be a lot of humor within the dialogue. Also, the action. There is no shortage of magical sword fights, fireballs being thrown around, and I think in this one we break a ship – as in, one of those giant cruise liners. The elements that make this series what it is range from mythology, folklore, an unhealthy amount of anime and manga (which explains some of the asian mythology elements) as well as a life time of being a geek. Q – Where is the best place to get all the books in the series? A – Well, Amazon of course… Actually, all my books are available in a variety of online bookstores, but the best way to find out about the current books AND new releases, is through my mailing list, which can be accessed by pasting this url on your browser: http://ryanattard.com Also, did I mention you get free books just for signing up? Welcome to Ravenridge College. Get drunk. Make stupid decisions. And kick serious interdimensional butt. Petra Brightshade was under the impression that college meant going to, like, classes. But she was recruited to this “prestigious mage college” because she’s something called a primal. Her innate magic is uniquely suited to fighting monstrous creatures from another dimension. Those creatures are pouring through a breach in the fabric of the universe right into the college’s library. Petra would rather carve the word “primal” into her own stomach than fight those freaking creatures. She’s been fighting them her whole life, and they haunt her nightmares. But that hot gargoyle that recruited her said that she was pretty much the only hope to save the world. And he’s intriguingly straight-laced. She can’t help but want to loosen him up a bit. And it’s true that the other primals seem to subscribe to the philosophy, “Fight hard. Party harder.” So, Petra’s in. She’s going to fight. As soon as she gets some coffee, that is.

Family portraits have been removed from the walls, and areas of the house are off limits. Some rooms even seem to have been walled off completely. No one will talk to her. The young and ambitious groundskeeper has become her only friend, and one day he tells her that she was stolen from her mother years before. Lena's family are all telepathic, and that isn't all. They're a religious pillar of the Silenti society. Her grandfather has used his religious standing to gain political power, decimating his rivals along with anyone who gets in his way.  Suddenly thrust into a life of political plots and religious fanatics, Lena finds herself struggling to navigate her own life. Some people aren't fond of the Darays, and the family has nearly died out through assassination. It appears Lena is the latest target.

He isn't supposed to even talk to a human, much less fall in love with one… Sixteen-year-old Ryann Carroll has just run into the guy who saved her life ten years ago. You might think she'd be happy to see him again. Not exactly. She's a bit underdressed (as in skinny-dipping,) and he's not supposed to exist. After her father's affair, all Ryann wants is to escape the family implosion fallout and find a little peace. She also wouldn't mind a first date that didn't suck, but she's determined not to end up like her mom: vulnerable, betrayed, destroyed. Ryann's just moved into her grandma's house in rural Mississippi, the same place where ten years earlier she became lost in the woods overnight and nearly died. She's still irresistibly drawn to those woods. There she encounters the boy who kept her from freezing to death that long ago winter night and was nowhere to be seen when rescuers arrived. He's still mysterious, but now all grown-up and gorgeous, too. And the more she's with him, the greater the threat he poses to Ryann's strict policy– never want someone more than he wants you.  Seventeen-year-old Lad knows the law of his people all too well: Don't get careless and Don't get caught. It's allowed his race to live undetected in this world for thousands of years, mentioned only in flawed and fading folklore. Lad's never been able to forget about Ryann since that night ten years ago. When he sees her again, his fascination re-ignites and becomes a growing desire that tempts him to break all the rules. He's not supposed to even talk to a human, much less fall in love with one. And the timing is atrocious. The Assemblage is coming, the rift between the Light and Dark is widening. Lad may have to trade his own chance at happiness to keep the humans, especially Ryann, blissfully ignorant and safe. Then Lad and Ryann swept me right off my feet… I was glad that I started Hidden Deep on a Friday so that I could read straight through the night into the breaking hours of dawn. It ended way too quickly. I hope the continuation will be out soon. I will be making plans for another Friday night lost in the world of Lad and Ryann." – AJ- Bitten by Books  "I love it when I fall deeper into the story as I move from one chapter to the next. That's what I got here. … as a whole, this book is a delicious read. I actually went back to the first chapter immediately after finishing the epilogue which is HEART-STOPPING by the way. The cliffhanger left me with my mouth open and ready to reread the whole thing (which I kinda did). For a Ghost-Free Time, Call is an episodic supernatural adventure set in the emerald city of Eugene, Oregon which follows a young man, who–since he was a boy–has had the irritating ability to see ghosts all around him. In spite of this so-called “gift,” he found a way to cope and a few less than legitimate ways to make a little money on the side. But a con that started out as a way to make a quick buck will soon become a terrifying reality check about the world he thought he understood… “Eugene is teeming with ghosts and for some stupid, God damn reason, I’m the only one who can see them.” At the young age of nine, Jared developed the unnatural ability to see the lingering spirits of the dead, and beyond its initial novelty, all it’s ever done is piss him off. After having to grow up rather quickly on his own, Jared took something that would have easily driven most people insane and found a way to use his unwelcomed gift to his advantage. He studied and took notes from the most prevalent movies and television shows, and armed with every mainstream supernatural trope and cliché he could find, started his very own—more or less legitimate—ghost removal service. With years of hit-or-miss cons and a number of temporary solutions to combat the most crippling aspects of his “gift,” Jared finally found a way to live a “normal” life and a way to fit in with society. However, one day, while working a routine job for a rich mark, Jared will be confronted with his own lies and a glimpse of the truth behind the world around him and his abilities. For a Ghost-Free Time, Call is a supernatural thriller written by up and coming Pacific Northwest author Sean Kelly (author of "The Drive Home: A Tale of Bromance and Horror" and co-founder of Emerald Inkwell, A Pacific Northwest Publishing Community) and is the first story in an episodic series brought to you by Emerald Inkwell. Episode one is a FREE and complete short story setting the stage for an otherworldly series taking place all across Eugene, Oregon. Every city has their supernatural annoyances, but that doesn't mean you have to put up with them. Instead, for a ghost free time, just call.

These days, even the humans are built by robots. Charlie7 is the progenitor of a mechanical race he built from the ashes of a dead world—Earth. He is a robot of leisure and idle political meddling—a retirement well-earned. Or he was, until a human girl named Eve was dropped in his lap. Geneticists have restored Earth's biome and begun repopulation. But primate cloning is in its infancy; human cloning is banned. Far from a failed genetics experiment, Eve is brilliant, curious, and heartbreakingly naïve about her species' history. But Eve's creator wants her back and has a gruesome fate planned for her. There is only one robot qualified to protect her. For the first time in a thousand years, Charlie7 has a human race to protect. Extinction Reversed  is the first book in the  Robot Geneticists  series. For fans of old-school science fiction where robots are people and any problem can be solved (or created) with enough scientists. If you've ever wondered what the world would be like if scientists who'd read  I, Robot  created a race of robots, or if you ever wondered what might be more dangerous to clone than dinosaurs, this is the series for you.

Gladiator meets Romeo and Juliet in this "spellbinding fantasy" trilogy (Kirkus Reviews) set in ancient Persia! They are the light against the darkness. The steel against the necromancy of the Druj. And they use demons to hunt demons…. Nazafareen lives for revenge. A girl of the isolated Four-Legs Clan, all she knows about the King's elite Water Dogs is that they leash wicked creatures called daevas to protect the empire from the Undead. But when scouts arrive to recruit young people with the gift, she leaps at the chance to join their ranks. To hunt the monsters that killed her sister. Scarred by grief, she's willing to pay any price, even if it requires linking with a daeva named Darius. Human in body, he's possessed of a terrifying power, one that Nazafareen controls. But the golden cuffs that join them have an unwanted side effect. Each experiences the other's emotions, and human and daeva start to grow dangerously close. As they pursue a deadly foe across the arid waste of the Great Salt Plain to the glittering capital of Persepolae, unearthing the secrets of Darius's past along the way, Nazafareen is forced to question his slavery—and her own loyalty to the empire. But with an ancient evil stirring in the north, and a young conqueror sweeping in from the west, the fate of an entire civilization may be at stake… So begins an epic story of adventure, romance and betrayal that leads to undiscovered magical realms and a final confrontation with a demon queen bent on destroying them all. Praise for the Fourth Element Trilogy "A spellbinding fantasy with some moral weight and a meatier narrative than usual, one likely to leave readers quite satisfied… This tale’s grand scope is set off beautifully by its intimate start. The story grows wonderfully from such a small seed, and it is the moral and subjective implications of the vastness and impersonality of the Empire that work so well to drive the narrative. The plot builds effectively, and maintains a swift pace. Nazafareen’s initial simplistic motivation, hatred, becomes complicated by her link to Darius, and evolves into something much more intriguing and complex. This transition is helped by the clarity with which the characters are drawn. The immensity of the Empire occasionally threatens to smother the personal tale at the heart of the story, but, like shadows around a candle flame, it never quite manages that feat." –Kirkus Reviews "Fantasy lovers who enter this world will be wooed by its expansive world-building, soul-crushing romance, deeply layered characters, and page-turning twists." –Flylef Reviews "One of the best trilogies I've ever read. I will read anything by Kat Ross. Hats off to her for creating these wonderful characters and making us fall in love with them!" –Cover to Cover Reviews "Kat Ross turned me into a puddle of emotions with her final book of the Fourth Element series! Action, betrayal, romance and demons conclude this story which can keep anyone captivated till the final page." –Milky Way of Books "An addictive, action-packed, glorious page-turner!" -Am Kinda Busy Reading "I really hate the word ‘epic’ because, let’s face it, it’s so overused and it’s lost its true meaning, but this book [The Midnight Sea] deserves that word." -Book Reader Chronicles "This is truly a grand finale of a book, mysteries from the very beginning of the series are put to rest and our heroes win in unexpected ways. Queen of Chaos delivers a beautiful ending that is perfect as it is but is left open enough for another story to seamlessly fit in." –Bibliobibuli "I'm never a read-a-book-in-one-sitting kind of person, but I totally did it with Queen of Chaos. Then I hugged my Kindle and wanted to start the series all over again." –Rattle the Stars "Extremely engrossing and so fast-paced…A truly exceptional series." –The InkedIn Book Blog

As she hunts for two vampires, she meets Kellan, an infuriatingly sexy vampire himself—a natural enemy she is supposed to hate—and feels an instant pull to him. And he's not going away anytime soon. He wants Ayla, but she's got no time for the silly vampire, no matter how drawn she feels to him. She's also still got Ryder wanting to build a life with her. Once Kellan finds out she's become a hunter, will he still continue to pursue her? The Lunar Effect is book one in The Ayla St. John Chronicles, and is a paranormal romance for readers 18 and older.

Skye Williams is an ordinary woman, living an ordinary life. Or so she thought. When she receives news of her estranged mother's death, she must go to Ireland to claim her inheritance, but when she arrives in the tiny village of Derrydun, she isn't prepared for what she finds nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Emerald Isle.  Lumped with a funeral, her mother's crystal shop, a moody goth girl for an employee, and a crumbling cottage with horrible floral curtains, selling up and getting out sounds like a great plan, but everything and everyone seems determined to keep her from going home. Skye doesn't want any part of her mother's life or the people of Derrydun until she sees the hot Irishman she's been crushing on turn into a fox. More absurdly, he tells her her dead mother was a witch who battled evil fairies, there's magical trees growing in the centre of the village, there's a parallel universe where the fair folk live, and she's meant to be the last defense of the magical peoples of Ireland. Turns out Skye Williams was never an ordinary woman. Not by a long shot. She's the last Crescent Witch and has a destiny to fulfil. Whether she likes it or not. The Crescent Witch Chronicles is a series stuffed full of Irish charm, myth and mayhem. Come on an adventure fraught with danger and forbidden romance…and the ultimate battle to save magic before it's gone forever.
