Black Label Society, formed in the late nineties by legendary guitar hero Zakk Wylde, have established themselves at the forefront of heavy metal with a series of hard riffing and hugely successful albums alongside worldwide tours that have cemented their reputation as one of the most powerful live bands of their generation. “Unblackened” finds Black Label Society in a mellower mood in a performance filmed at Club Nokia in Los Angeles earlier this year. The concert showcases the band’s songs with a greater use of acoustic instruments but without losing any of their power and intensity. Zakk Wylde leads from the front as always, performing here on both guitar and piano and demonstrating the subtler side of his music alongside the blistering solos that his fans know and love. This is definitely a live concert not to be missed!

In 1999, Slipknot arose from the American midwest on the strengths of an uncompromising debut album and visceral, intense live performances. The band galvanized a counterculture in the States before swiftly becoming a global sensation. Wherever the band played, their reputation preceded them, growing even more rapidly in their wake as word of the live shows spread. In the years since, the band has continued to thrive, touring the world countless times. With the success of their number one album, .5: The Gray Chapter, Slipknot chose to create their own festival, Knotfest, playing one of the biggest markets in the world – with the most passionate fans of rock and metal – Mexico City. From the moment the band touched down, the maggots (the band’s own term for their fans, and happily adopted by the fans as a point of pride) were out in force. "Day Of The Gusano” documents not only a historic performance from one of the most exciting live bands on the planet, but delves deeply into the lives of the band’s fans as well. This highly anticipated show gives a window into the chaos, excitement and community Slipknot has cultivated over the past 20+ years.

Dizzy Gillespie is one of the major figures of the 20th Century's music scene. Much has been said about this genius, one of the founding fathers of bebop with Charlie Parker. Whereas Dizzy’s public life is well-known, few know of his modest personal life, nor of his close friendship with the Swiss engineer Jacques Muyal – “the only jazz musician who doesn’t play an instrument” (Paquito D’Rivera). Through previously unreleased musical archives and interviews, this film explores the friendship of this legendary musician and a man in love with jazz – let the beat go on!

Ever since her first Met performances as the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier in 2000, Renée Fleming has been celebrated as one of the most compelling interpreters of the role. In this Live in HD transmission, broadcast nearly two decades later, the silver-voiced American soprano sings her final performance as the elegant princess coming to grips with the persistent passage of time. Mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča delivers a commanding portrayal as Octavian, the title “Knight of the Rose” and the Marschallin’s impetuous young lover, in Robert Carsen’s madcap new production—which sets the action in 1911, the year of the work’s premiere. As the plucky young heiress Sophie, Erin Morley sings with a radiantly beautiful soprano, while bass Günther Groissböck offers a larger-than-life portrayal of Baron Ochs auf Lerchenau, the outlandish nobleman lusting after every woman in sight. And tenor Matthew Polenzani excites with his cameo appearance as the Italian Singer in Act I. Maestro Sebastian Weigle leads a buoyant account of Strauss’s beloved score, which incorporates Viennese waltzes, raucous comedy, and the composer’s characteristically vivid palette of orchestral color.

Kathryn learns that ALS is a progressive, paralyzing disease, with no treatment or cure. A terminal illness requiring full time care. Lynn, a former piano teacher, has always dreamed of seeing her daughter in the spotlight, singing her own songs. Inspired to make something beautiful amidst the grief and trauma of this long, painful goodbye, Kathryn transforms the living room of their house into a studio. With her mother in bed just down the hall and her condition worsening every day, Kathryn will fill the house with music and make a record—her first solo album—a parting gift for her biggest fan. Georges Bizet‘s captivating music with its Spanish sounds took the world by storm: Carmen‘s Habanera and Seguidilla, like Escamillo‘s Toreador‘s Song, are known to one and all. The French composer‘s most successful opera is staged at Bregenz lake stage with a set designed by British artist Es Devlin. She has designed sets for pop stars like Adele, U2, Take That, the Pet Shop Boys and Kanye West. In collaboration with the stage director Kasper Holten, she has also worked at opera houses in Helsinki and Copenhagen, at the Theater an der Wien and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. For the Danish stage director, this “opera about destiny and obsession” centres on “two people who are treated as outsiders, whose paths cross and who cling to each other in a passionate but unhealthy relationship”. Act I: In front of a tobacco factory, the soldiers, bored with their sentry duties, eagerly await the lunch break at the factory so they can watch the working women coming outside, especially the most coveted of all: Carmen. She sings of love and throws a flower to José, whilst Micaëla brings José a kiss from his mother. He then sees his mother as a protector before the demonic Carmen. After Carmen injures a colleague with a knife, she is led by José to Lieutenant Zuniga. Zuniga orders José to guard Carmen, but she manages to bewitch him to such a point that he helps her to escape. Act II: Carmen sings with Frasquita, Mercédès, and her companions in Lillas Pastias Bar, accompanied by an increasingly wild dance. The bullfighter, Escamillo, makes advances towards Carmen, but she refuses his overtures. The smugglers Dancaïre and Remendado persuade the gypsy girls to cooperate with them in their next venture. Singing, José approaches Carmen, who dances seductively for him: that being the promised reward for her liberation. When José wants to follow the signal for a roll-call at the barracks, Carmen taunts him for his sense of duty: if he really loved her, he would follow her into the smuggling life. José reluctantly follows the smugglers into their free lives – lives much glorified by everyone else. Act III: Frasquita, Mercédès, and Carmen read their futures from the cards and Carmen learns that she will die together with José. José approaches Escamillo as he learns about his love for Carmen. Micaëla intervenes and, like all the others, is invited by Escamillo to his next bullfight in the arena. Micaëla tells José of his dying mother and convinces him to follow her. Beseechingly, he promises Carmen that they will meet again. Act IV: In the arena, Escamillo asserts Carmen’s love and goes into battle. Frasquita and Mercédès warn Carmen about José. He begs her to start a new life with him somewhere else. She refuses, declaring that she does not love him anymore. At the moment when Escamillo’s victory over the bull is rejoiced, José kills Carmen.

Ever since its debut in 2003, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra has been enthusiastically received by public and press alike. The orchestra is the realisation of a dream for Claudio Abbado, who handpicked famous soloists, chamber recitalists and orchestral musicians to form this ensemble. The line-up includes such luminaries as Kolja Blacher and Sabine Meyer, alongside sundry members of the world’s great orchestras. The cello section alone boasts Natalia Gutman, Clemens Hagen and Valentin Erben. The popular work, completed in 1896, became famous through Luciano Visconti’s film “Death in Venice”, where the catchy “Midnight Song” from the Fourth movement serves as a prominent theme. Claudio Abbado is undeniably a supreme Mahler conductor and his recordings of Mahler’s Nos. 5, 6 and 7 symphonies with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and have set new standards in interpretation of Gustav Mahler’s works. For this performance orchestra and conductor are joined by singer Anna Larsson, the Arnold Schoenberg Choir Vienna and the famous Bavarian Tölz Boys Choir. Join in the imposing experience of a live performance of Mahler’s No.3 with its awesome silences and towering climaxes recorded in the acoustically superb Congress and Concert Hall Lucerne on August 19, 2007.

Release Date: January 1, 2009

“Nirvana headlining at Reading in 1992 was something you had to see, and if you didn’t see it then it was something you pretended you saw.” –Kerrang (October 2003) “The staggering energy and intensity radiating from the stage never let up… Cobain’s ravaged pop songs coming off like some dream marriage of the Sex Pistols and the Beatles, borne on bracing waves of distorted guitar noise.” –Rolling Stone (October 29, 1992) Ranked #1 in Kerrang Magazine’s “100 Gigs That Shook The World” and voted as “Nirvana’s #1 Greatest Moment” by fans in an NME poll, Nirvana’s historic August 30, 1992 stands as a watershed moment in the history of rock. While the show’s centerpiece was a performance of nearly the entire Nevermind tracklist, also noteworthy were early performances of three as yet unrecorded songs which wouldn’t be released until 2 years later on In Utero: "All Apologies,” “Dumb,” and in its first ever public performance, “Tourettes." The career-spanning setlist also reached back to the band’s 1989 Sub Pop debut album, Bleach, for “Blew,” “About A Girl,” “School,” “Negative Creep” and first single “Love Buzz,” and even further back to the mid-‘80s for “Spank Thru.” Other songs from the Reading set would appear in studio form on the Incesticide compilation later in the year: “Aneurysm,” “Been A Son” and “Sliver.” Additionally, the band played a pair of beloved covers by two bands that helped shape the formative Nirvana sound– “The Money Will Roll Right In” by Fang and “D-7” by The Wipers. Get ready to mosh in the privacy of your own home, because multiple Grammy-nominated, Platinum-selling thrash masters ANTHRAX have announced the release of “Chile On Hell”! “Chile On Hell” was filmed at the Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile on May 10, 2013, and features Anthrax – Joey Belladonna/vocals, Scott Ian/guitar, Charlie Benante/drums, Frank Bello/bass and Jon Donais/lead guitar. The band performed an extended set that featured songs from Anthrax’s entire catalogue – all the fan-favorites including “I Am The Law," “Indians,” “Madhouse,” “Caught In A Mosh,” “The Devil You Know," and “I’m Alive”. "Santiago was the perfect place to film the show for this,” said Anthrax’s Charlie Benante. "When we’d played there in the past, we’d finish our set, play our encore and go back to the dressing room, but every time, the fans would continue to scream and cheer and clap. I mean, they went on and on, they wouldn’t stop. One time Scott and I walked out to the side of the stage just to watch what was going on in the audience, it was intense. Why wouldn’t we want to film a DVD in front of an audience like that?" The band was in the home stretch of a three-plus-year campaign to record and support Worship Music and the Anthems EP, a period of time that was loaded with high points: the return of “classic era” vocalist Joey Belladonna, Worship Music making the band’s highest chart debut in two decades, the series of Big Four shows – Anthrax, Slayer and Metallica, the three bands that wrote the speed and thrash metal road map – that culminated in the September 2011 Big Four spectacular at Yankee Stadium in the band’s home town of New York, “Anthrax Day” declared in the Bronx, becoming the first metal band to have its music (“Got The Time”) played on Mars, two Grammy nominations, and sold out shows in every corner of the globe – “We wanted to finish on a high note".

Price: $ 12.99

Release Date: November 15, 2019

In the heart of the breathtaking Bavarian Alps lies the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle, proudly situated in a land of enchantment known for its magical lakes, rugged mountains and historic castles. Neuschwanstein was built by Ludwig II as a retreat in honor of German composer, Richard Wagner, and it became the inspiration for Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdoms, which have enthralled visitors of all ages for generations. It creates the perfect setting for Sarah Brightman’s spectacular HYMN concert. Conceived and created by Sarah along with Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia, Beauty and the Beast), and Frank Peterson (Enigma), this cinematic performance is a unique hybrid of a musical film and a large-scale concert production. Staged in Ludwig II’s Festspielhaus, Sarah is accompanied by her band, the Bavarian Philharmonic Orchestra, a 50-voice choir and the Ludwig Ensemble of dancers. Special guest performers include Yoshiki, Vincent Niclo, Mario Frangoulis, and Narcis. The presentation is staged in two Acts, embracing some of Sarah’s most beloved works as well as songs from Sarah’s new album HYMN, performed for the very first time; the intoxicating Sky And Sand, Miracle – the epic collaboration with Japanese superstar, Yoshiki – and the tour de force that is Sogni, on which Sarah is joined by French tenor Vincent Niclo. Sarah also performs a solo rendition of her classic Time to Say Goodbye, with English lyrics. Filmed using state-of-the-art video and audio technologies, Hymn – Sarah Brightman In Concert perfectly evokes the magic of this dramatic Bavarian setting with all the glamour and spectacle of an extraordinary stage show.

On July 27, 1986, Queen performed the largest-ever stadium concert at the Népstadion in Budapest in front of 80,000 ecstatic fans. Now, this original concert film has been remastered in high definition and features many of Queen's favorite tracks—"Bohemian Rhapsody," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," "I Want To Break Free" and "We Are The Champions." Cult musician and artist Terry Allen is revered by the world’s creative elite, but is far from a household name. Fringe even in the fringe world of artists, musicians, and renegades of the 70’s, Terry’s voice is perhaps just now reaching the audience it deserves. ‘Everything For All Reasons’ sheds a comprehensive light on his body of work and life, and is punctuated with songs from a star studded concert at Austin’s Paramount Theater. Almost the antithesis of the Rock N Roll cliché, Allen shares the stage with his wife of 55 years, two sons, and life-long friends. The film includes behind-the-scenes rehearsals and interviews with legendary musicians that collaborate and have been influenced by Terry -David Byrne (Talking Heads), Joe Ely (Flatlanders), Lloyd Maines, Charlie Sexton (Bob Dylan), and Ryan Bingham. All pieced together to answer the question who the Hell is Terry Allen, and why haven’t you heard of him?

'TIME MACHINE 2011: Live In Cleveland' is an evening with Rush performing their classic hits and features the legendary 'Moving Pictures' album, performed live in its entirety. Released in 1981, 'Moving Pictures' is their most successful album, certified 4x Platinum, and features some of the band's most well known songs and perennial radio favorites, including “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight” and the Grammy®-nominated instrumental “YYZ.” Captured in April, 2011 in Cleveland during the renowned trio’s extensive world tour, 'TIME MACHINE 2011: Live In Cleveland' marks the band’s first live concert filmed in the United States. The choice to record in Cleveland was a deliberate nod of gratitude to the first city to support Rush on its airwaves, as former WMMS DJ Donna Halper is widely credited for helping break the band in 1974 by spinning “Working Man.” The reinterpreted live version of “Working Man” was the encore closer on the Time Machine tour and is included on this release. In addition to the 26-song concert set, Rush’s notorious concept tour videos are included: The first short film, entitled “The ‘Real’ History of Rush Episode No. 2 ‘Don’t Be Rash,’” and the opening second set video, "The ‘Real’ History of Rush Episode No. 17 ‘…and Rock and Roll is My Name.'"

At 8pm on Sunday 9th July 1978 in the rocket, a small smokey pub in Crawley Sussex, The Cure performed their very first show. Around 65 people joined in the fun. At 8pm on Saturday 7th July 2018 in Hyde park, a big green space in London, The Cure took to the stage to celebrate 40 years of playing live. Around 65,000 people joined in the fun. To capture this second historic event in all its technicolour glory, the band turned to the man responsible for most of The Cure’s iconic videos, as well as their award winning 1986 film ‘in orange’ – long-time collaborator and maverick director Tim Pope. The performance Tim Pope filmed that perfect summer evening was one of the most memorable concerts of The Cure’s long career; as giant sized screens danced, glitched and fizzled with images of raging seas, shimmering webs and broken hearts, The Cure flowed, floated, pushed, pounded and powered their way through a 29 song 135 minute spectacular, on a spellbinding trip through four decades of alternative popular music. Says pope: “I went to rehearsals in a very cramped studio just the day before the show, and sat in the group’s midst as they ran through the songs. I knew as the set list unfolded that the only way to show people the real cure was to capture not only the grand, epic dimension of their stage show, but also the close, intimate side of this band simply making music together. Never has Robert sung so well, nor has the cure played more passionately, more tightly, more powerfully.” As the film was edited together across the ensuing months, smith and pope working closely together, Cure FOH sound man Paul cornett, who had mixed the show live on the night, was brought in to help Robert create the accompanying soundscape. Mixing took place at Brighton electric studios in late 2018, final tweaks to the theatrical 5.1 audio being carried out at abbey road studios in early 2019. As with the 4k visuals pope had snared with his cameras, the aim was to create a totally immersive experience for cinema-goers. Looking back near the end of the show, Robert says to the audience “if you’d asked me in the rocket what I’d be doing in 40 years, I would have got the answer very wrong… but it’s thanks to everyone around me, and to you all as well that I’m still here… so thank you very much! It’s been a good four decades… here’s to the next one!” In march 2019 smith and the rest of The Cure – Simon Gallup, Jason Cooper, Roger O’Donnell and reeves Gabrels – were inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, announcing exciting news later that same night about the progress of the group’s first new studio album in more than a decade. “Anniversary 1978-2018” was and is The Cure drawing a quite remarkable line between their past and their future.

The blazing title role of Bellini’s Norma has been a star-making vehicle for some of opera’s most beloved sopranos, so when Sondra Radvanovsky first took on the part at the Met in 2013, it marked a new chapter of her career. She returned four years later to reprise her riveting portrayal, this time opening the 2017–18 season in an evocative new production by Sir David McVicar. Captured live in HD, her performance is nothing less than a tour-de-force, combining dramatic commitment with true bel canto singing—Radvanovsky balances the role’s powerful intensity with moments of delicate lyricism. As Adalgisa, the young priestess torn between love and duty, mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato delivers an interpretation imbued with great emotional nuance. Tenor Joseph Calleja is the aggressive Roman proconsul Pollione, with Matthew Rose as Norma’s father, the warrior Oroveso. Leading the Met Orchestra and Chorus, maestro Carlo Rizzi draws out the vibrant color of Bellini’s masterful score.

The history behind this recording began in 2012, which was a year of major achievements for Heart. In addition to Ann and Nancy’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and news that they had been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the year was filed with musical accomplishments. Ann and Nancy Wilson combed their archives for a definitive four CD box set release in the early part of the year, and in the fall of 2012, released their “Fanatic” album to strong critical and fan acclaim. To support the release of “Fanatic,” the band embarked upon a major North American headline tour, which ended with a magnificent performance at Caesars Colosseum in Windsor, Ontario, which was filmed by AXS-TV. Heart has long been associated with Canada having broken out in Vancouver in 1976 with the release of “Dreamboat Annie” and their return to Canada for the “Fanatic” tour was greeted with the kind of enthusiasm the Canadians save for their own. Ben Mink, who produced the “Fanatic” CD and is another great musical Canadian musician, joined Ann and Nancy on stage at Windsor, playing fiddle and leading a string ensemble. In addition to songs from the “Fanatic” album which were performed for the first time for the television viewing audience, “Fanatic Live From Caesars Colosseum” also showcases many of Heart's classic hits including “Barracuda,” “Crazy on You,” “These Dreams,” “Alone,” “What About Love,” and many more. Over the group's four-decade history, Heart had different lineups, with the constant center of the group since 1974 being sisters lead singer Ann Wilson and guitarist Nancy Wilson. To date, Heart has sold over 30 million records worldwide, including over 22 million in album sales in the U.S. The group was ranked number 57 on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock". With Top 10 albums on the Billboard Album Chart in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2010s, Heart is among the most commercially enduring Rock bands in history.

Many other world-famous musicians-Sheryl Crow, Donovan, Eddie Vedder, Moby, Ben Harper, Paul Horn, Betty LaVette, and Jim James-joined the two remaining Beatles to thrill the crowd, as did Jerry Seinfeld in a brilliant guest performance.

Outstanding singers, star director Robert Carsen, and the Berliner Philharmoniker under the direction of chief conductor Sir Simon Rattle: It was in every respect a memorable performance of Mozart’s Magic Flute, with which the Berliner Philharmoniker opened their Easter Festival in Baden-Baden in March 2013. The Financial Times spoke of a “top-drawer cast”: “Pavol Breslik is all you could wish for in a Tamino, Michael Nagy’s Papageno is charismatic and lithe, Kate Royal gives Pamina subtle complexity as well as grace.” The sets were designed by Michael Levine and the production was directed for video by Olivier Simonnet.

He is built like the Colossus of Rhodes with the hands of a Titan or the strength of an emperor and Boris Berezovsky leaves nobody indifferent. By taking enormous risks in Liszt's Sonata, by surprising his audiences with his endurance and by being able to lead his piano into unexplored territories, Berezovsky belongs to the long and great tradition of Romantics. His style is inspired and inspiring, his heightened sense of form flirts with improvisation and his strength is bewildering. The 2006 show at Montreux has the band playing a pretty tight show with all the classics and a generous portion of the latest disc, Rapture of the Deep. Ian Paice makes a great save after a stick drop, and has a great night throughout along with Glover, Morse, and Airey. However, it was not the best night for Ian Gillan. He sounds quite hoarse and is often out of key. The encores are pretty much ruined by the appearance of producer Michael Bradford on this very annoying wah-wah guitar. Joining the stage with Bradford was a bearded man I have never seen or heard of before singing along with Gillan very sloppily. It was very cool to see Claude Nobs onstage with the band playing some harmonica, but Bradford and this bearded guy did the band no favours whatsover by being there – especially during the encores.

This special night was recorded in New York, NY and is the latest chapter in the iconic MTV Unplugged series created by Robert Small and Jim Burns. In addition, she gives a wonderful take on Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness" for this performance. The show's intimate audience even included Kanye West and Q-Tip. Toto have welcomed many different band members across their long career but in the early nineties they had a short period as a four-piece featuring Steve Lukather (guitar & lead vocals), David Paich (keyboards & vocals), Jeff Porcaro (drums & percussion) and Mike Porcaro (bass). The line-up, with some additional touring members, performed this concert at Montreux in July 1991 and would go on to make the Kingdom Of Desire album released in 1992, shortly after the tragic early death of drummer Jeff Porcaro. The Montreux show, now being released for the first time, combines then unreleased tracks from the Kingdom Of Desire album with classic hits and covers of songs by Jimi Hendrix and Sly Stone. It is a perfect addition to any Toto fan’s collection.

An intellectual miracle, magical sonorities, an incredible sense of risk: this is what comes to mind when seeing Martha Argerich. The one that has been nicknamed the "Lioness of piano" has lost nothing of her audacity, her spiritedness and her fiery temperament. Known for her heightened sense of friendship, Martha Argerich has been playing for a long time alongside Stephen Kovacevitch or Mischa Maisky. By Kovacevitch's side, with four hands or on two pianos, she rediscovers Mozart's innocence and candor. With a secret understanding and sometimes gently mocking each other, both players are like children when playing Mozart. Micha Maisky's intense lyrical bow brings out a more impetuous and authoritarian Martha Argerich. Programme: Johann Sebastian Bach Partita No. 2 in C Minor, BWV 826 – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Andante and five variations for four hands Piano in G Major, K. 501 – Edvard Grieg Sonata for Cello and Piano in A Minor, Op. 36

Act I – Scene 1: The market place: The scene is in Verona. Romeo, son of Montague, tries unsuccessfully to declare his love for Rosaline and is consoled by his friends Mercutio and Benvolio. As day breaks and the townspeople meet in the market place, a quarrel develops between Tybalt, a nephew of Capulet, and Romeo and his friends. The Capulets and Montagues are sworn enemies and a fight soon begins. The Lords Montague and Capulet join in the fray, which is stopped by the appearance of the Prince of Verona who commands the families to end their feud. Scene 2: Juliet’s ante-room in the Capulets’ house: Juliet, playing with her nurse, is interrupted by her parents Lord and Lady Capulet. They present her to Paris, a wealthy young nobleman who has asked for her hand in marriage. Scene 3: Outside the Capulets’ house: Guests arrive for a ball at the Capulets’ house. Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio, disguised in masks, decide to go in pursuit of Rosaline. Scene 4: The ballroom: Romeo and his friends arrive at the height of the festivities. The guests watch Juliet dance. Mercutio, seeing that Romeo is entranced by her, dances to distract attention from him. Tybalt recognises Romeo and orders him to leave, but Capulet intervenes and welcomes him as a guest in his house. Scene 5: Outside the Capulets’ house: As the guests leave the ball, Capulet restrains Tybalt from pursuing Romeo. Scene 6: Juliet’s balcony: Unable to sleep, Juliet comes out onto her balcony and is thinking of Romeo, when suddenly he appears in the garden. They confess their love for each other. Act 2 – Scene 1: The market place: Romeo can think only of Juliet and, as awedding procession passes, he dreams of the day when he will marry her. In the meantime Juliet’s nurse pushes her way through the crowds in search of Romeo to give him a letter from Juliet. He reads that Juliet has consented to be his wife. Scene 2: The chapel: The lovers are secretly married by Friar Laurence, who hopes that their union will end the strite between the Montagues and Capulets. Scene 3: The market place: Interrupting the revelry, Tybalt fights with Mercutio and kills him. Romeo avenges the death of his friend, and is exiled. Act 3 – Scene 1: The bedroom: At dawn next morning the household is stirring and Romeo must go. He embraces Juliet and leaves as her parents enter with Paris. Juliet refuses to marry Paris, and hurt by her rebuff he leaves. Juliet’s parents are angry and threaten to disown her. Juliet rushes to see Friar Laurence. Scene 2: The chapel: She falls at Friar Laurence’s feet and begs for his help. He gives her a phial of sleeping potion which will make her fall into a death-like sleep. Her parents, believing her to be dead, will bury her in the family tomb. Meanwhile Romeo, warned by Friar Laurence, will return under cover of darkness and take her away from Verona. Scene 3: The bedroom: That evening Juliet agrees to marry Paris, but next morning, when her parents arrive with him, they find her apparently lifeless on the bed. Scene 4: The Capulet family crypt: Romeo, failing to receive Friar Laurence’s message, returns to Verona stunned by grief at the news of Juliet’s death. Disguised as a monk, he enters the crypt, and finding Paris by Juliet’s body, kills him. Believing Juliet to be dead, Romeo drinks a phial of poison. Juliet awakes and, finding Romeo dead, stabs herself.

New York Philharmonic President Zarin Mehta said about this recording under the baton of Lorin Maazel: “On February 26, 2008, the world watched as the New York Philharmonic gave the first performance by an American orchestra in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Those lucky enough to be present will never forget that historic evening, when people from two long-divided nations were united through the beauty and power of music. By the end of the final encore, both the audience and the musicians onstage stood waving to each other in a new-found spirit of understanding.“ Including the breathtaking documentary: “Americans in Pyongyang – The New York Philharmonic’s Trip to North Korea” directed by Ayelet Heller.

International icon, singer, composer and Colombian guitarist, JUANES presents his first live acoustic album, "Tr3s Presents Juanes MTV Unplugged". In both critical respect and global commercial success, Juanes has become the leading all-Spanish language music artist in the world over the course of the last decade. Both an electrifying guitarist and gifted songwriter frequently exploring the complexities of love and interpersonal emotion, he is often mentioned alongside artists such as Bono and Bruce Springsteen for his belief in the possibility of social change through music. With multi-platinum worldwide sales of over 15 million albums, a Grammy, 8 Billboard Awards, 17 Latin Grammy Awards and 18 Premio Lo Nuestro trophies, it is evident that millions of fans have adopted the songs of this poetic rocker as representative anthems of Latino pride, prayers for peace, and the strength of eternal love. With record-setting chart runs for multiple #1 albums and singles, it is no wonder that Billboard declared JUANES as Latin Music's "Star of The Decade," while CNN selected JUANES as the youngest member of "the twenty "most iconic" global musicians of the last fifty years' (joining music legends such as The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, & more). Juanes will continue to make history with the release of his first ever MTV UNPLUGGED, an organic presentation of his greatest hits including "Me Enamora", "A Dios Le Pido", "La Camisa Negra", "Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor" and more, plus three new songs (including the #1 hit single "La Senal") and collaborations with Brazilian superstar Paula Fernandes and Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquin Sabina. The album was produced by the legendary Juan Luis Guerra in a historic collaboration full of energy and musical genius.
