April 30th is the day when Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 next season titled Operation Spectre Rising will launch and its offering a bevy of new updates in all areas of the game.

Operation Spectre Rising follows the release of the Alcatraz map that came earlier in the month. Players will see the return of the favorite sword-wielding specialist Spectre from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 who will be available in both multiplayer modes and Blackout. In addition to the new specialist, fans of the game can look forward to new maps, characters, weapons, outfits personalization items, game modes, and Blackout updates.

The new maps coming to Black Ops 4 include Masquerade, Artifact, and WMD. On top of that Blackout’s world changes and becomes Wetworks undergoing a drastic transformation when a dam is destroyed flooding the Firing Range, Cargo, and Factory with water. As mentioned above new characters will also be available for use in the game. The trailer shows of old Frank Woods, Sarah Hall from Black Ops 3, Blackjack, and Sergei Kozin in action.

Multiplayer will also see an update with a new mode called Bounty Hunter as the well the return of Gauntlet and Prop Hunt modes. As far as weapons, players can look forward to using the new Ballistic Knife, Tigershark LMG and a new melee weapon for up close and personal situations called the Nifo’oti Club as well as weapon charms and camo skins.

‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’ Annouces New Map Alacatraz, Plus Free Access To ‘Blackout’

The intense battle royale action of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4‘s popular Blackout Mode will be taking its act to the famed island prison of Alcatraz, Activision revealed today (April 1).

The new map will allow players to engage in both close-quarters combat and long-range exterior firefights as they battle to be the last squad standing the company revealed in a press release. The 1:34 trailer shows off how you will have to utilize new techniques and strategies while taking on challenges such as zombies on the new fog filled and creepy map.

Per Activision:

“The new Blackout Alcatraz map is set in a fog-filled island boasting a variety of environments that all lead up to the big cellhouse atop the hill. Requiring new strategies and tactics, players will drop in, gear up and fight through both close-quarters combat and long-range exterior firefights as they battle to be the last squad standing.

Alcatraz is launching in addition to the original Blackout map, so players will have two distinct maps to choose from when jumping into the mode.”

The Alcatraz map launched April 2 on PlayStation 4 first with Xbox One and PC players joining in on the fun very soon after. You can take a good look at what to expect in the trailer for the exciting new Blackout Mode arena below and while you are at it read up on Call of Duty mobile as well.

But wait there is more, Activision/Treyarch also announced there will be free access to Blackout Mode starting on April 2-30. So yeah you get an entire month to join the Call of Duty battle royale party.

2018 was a rather quiet year for Bronx rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie what with Tekashi 6ix9ine and Cardi B taking all the straight outta New York headlines.

Looking to get back in the spotlight in 2019 the BX rapper dropped his latest project Hoodie SZN at the end of December and today comes through with the clip to “4 Min Convo” where A Boogie goes back and forth between being animated and live-action.

Janelle Monae meanwhile continues to paint the town red with her girls while dipping on drones in the visuals to the Zoe Kravitz assisted “Screwed.”

Some big names from the NBA, NFL, and MLS were on hand to witness the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and be the first to get hands-on with the game.

Thursday, May 17th, Activision developer Treyarch held a community reveal event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 — the next chapter in the popular first-person shooter franchise. The event was held at the Jet Center Los Angeles in Hawthorne California.

On hand to witness the next step in the blockbuster franchise were hundreds of media, community members and celebrity Call of Duty players. Notable pro-athletes from across the sports world who love the game were in the building were L.A. Clippers all-star center DeAndre Jordan, Sacramento Kings young star De’Aron Fox, L.A. Rams star running back Todd Gurley, Minnesota Timberwolves all-star center Karl-Anthony Townes, Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and L.A. Galaxy left-back Ashley Cole.

L.A.’s top athletes even battled for hometown bragging rights in a “Battle For LA” game match as fans watched and cheered on.

In case you didn’t know, Black Ops 4 is ditching it’s single-player campaign and put all of its focus on the multiplayer aspect of the game. Along with tweaked gameplay and features, there is also a new Battle Royale mode called Blackout that has COD players excited that hopes to rival Fortnite and PUBG.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 arrives October 12th, and is available for pre-order now. For more photos from the night hit the flip.
