Lil Yachty has been arrested and released.
According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, the Atlanta rapper was arrested last week and charged with driving more than 150 mph down an Atlanta interstate. Lil Yachty, whose legal name is Miles McCollum, was pulled over Sept. 21 in downtown Atlanta after being observed by officers going high speeds in his white Ferrari.
McCollum was charged with reckless driving and speeding before being sent to the Atlanta City jail, according to the Georgia State Police.
Channel 2 Action News noted that the same location of the rapper’s recent arrest was also the same location that the rapper previously crashed a red Ferrari back in June. At that time, witnesses said his speed and the wet roads led to the crash that totaled his vehicle.
After news of his arrest, Lil Yachty took to Instagram to let fans know that he is a free man, before flashing wads of cash showing that the arrest didn’t seem to hurt his pockets. “I’m not in jail,” he captioned a short video clip, where he’s seen donning braids with clear and colorful beads while stacks of twenty-dollar bills rest on his lap. He also places the wads of cash on his shoulder and against the side of his face before letting out a scream.
In other Lil Yachty news, the 23-year old ATLien tweeted out his thoughts on who dominated the industry so far this year, and his choice goes to none other than Travis Scott.
Taking to Twitter on Friday (Sept 25), Lil Boat crowned La Flame the winner of 2020, before tweeting clarification that his title doesn’t include music.
“I ain’t gone lie, I think Travis Scott might be the only one who had a good 2020,” Yachty tweeted. “I’m not even talking about music.”
2020 has been great to the Astroworld rapper, besides his monumental partnership with McDonald’s, the Houston-bred rapper recently broke Fortnite’s streaming record in addition to paying cash for his $ 23.5 million mansion, Travis Scott is definitely winning in 2020. During an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, Travis talked about his success and gave fans some details about his highly anticipated album Utopia.
“It’s just like day one,” he said. “And just the music too, just being able to get back to making beats like that. It’s driving me, it’s driving me. I’m so hype. Like I’ve never been so fucking hype, man. I’m like that. I’m excited about music and rap and beats again. Like this shit is just – I’m on a fucking mission, man. We trying to literally build up these gates at Utopia and make it happen. But I’m starting right now from the ground up…”

The man who stood by and filmed George and Travis McMichael murdering Ahmaud Arbery in cold blood last February is now the third man arrested and charged. William “Roddie” Bryan Jr. was hit with charges of felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment.
NPR reports that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested and formally charged Bryan for his role in the death of Arbery, who was going for a run in the Salita Shores neighborhood near Brunswick, Ga, a coastal town in the southern state.
More from NPR:
Bryan, 50, recorded the video that ignited anger and protests in the Brunswick, Ga., area earlier this month. It shows Arbery, who is black, jogging down a residential street, two white men confronting him, and the ensuing struggle.
Three gunshots are fired before Arbery falls to the ground.
The other two men in the video, Gregory and Travis McMichael, were arrested two days after the video became public, once the GBI took over the case. They were both charged with murder and aggravated assault.
The family of Arbery issued a statement after the news went wide of Bryan’s arrest.
“We want anyone who participated in the murder of Mr. Arbery to be held accountable,” said the family via a statement provided by their legal team.

Young Chop has had an interesting few weeks that culminated into a couple of arrests, the most recent occurring two days ago this past Thursday (April 16). The Chicago producer, who now lives in Georgia, was arrested for the second time this month for violating his probation terms.
Local publication the Gwinnett Daily Post reports that Chop, real name Tyree Pitman, was arrested but officials have yet to reveal what led to the announcement of the probation violation charge. The 26-year-old producer is listed as a resident of Peachtree Corners, a suburb of Atlanta that rests northeast of the city.
Back on April 7, Chop was arrested for reckless conduct, driving without a license and for having expired tags, this after being seen on social media searching for 21 Savage in the rapper’s old neighborhood with Chop stoking the fires of the beef he first began on Instagram.
On February 26, Chop was arrested for a misdemeanor aggravated cruelty to animals-death charges. Chop also was seen on a home surveillance camera shooting a firearm at unknown assailants from the porch of his Georgia home.

Genesis Hansen, a 21-year-old student at Oregon State University, was stopped by police for not riding in between the lanes. When she refused to hand over her identification, which she had full right to do, the police roughly arrested her and the video of the moment is now public.
As reported by the Corvallis Gazette-Times, Hansen as riding in Corvallis on October 13 when state police approached her for not riding within the lines. The officer questioned Hansen, who stood her legal ground in refusing to answer the trooper’s inquiry and handing over her identification.
When another trooper was called in, they begin to push her to the ground and arrest her roughly although it’s clear Hansen isn’t moving. After some time, she is placed in the back of the squad car as a crowd gathered at the scene demanding to know why the police were detaining her.
Hansen was arrested for interfering with an officer and resisting arrest, but Benton District Attorney John Haroldson has sided with Hansen in noting that she was correct in not having to hand over her identification and that she will not be charged. However, Haroldson stopped short of levying charges against the officers based on what evidence was presented.
A number of NAACP leaders in the Northwest are backing Hansen and demand an apology from the Oregon State Police and Corvallis Police Department along with asking OSU to support Hansen in this troubling time.
The video, which we warn could be disturbing to some, can be viewed below.
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s Scrapp De Leon is no longer in trouble with the law, but his brother now is. According to reports, he was arrested on the charge of sex trafficking.
Lyndon “Sas” Smith, 26, who has appeared on Mona Scott-Young’s famed reality series in a supporting role, is in a lot of trouble. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Smith and his accomplice, James Ruffin, 27, planned on traveling out of Georgia to pimp two teenage girls according to authorities.

Scrapp recently got promoted to series regular this past season after he was released from prison. King also has had multiple run-ins with the law. Bow Wow was arrested in Atlanta last night, early Saturday morning (Feb. 2) and charged with assault and battery. By the looks of his mugshot, we get the feeling he took an L.
But it gets worse because of the allegation that Mr. 106 & Park put hands on a woman, his girlfriend.
ATL cops tell TMZ … there was some sort of dispute between Bow Wow and the woman at 4:15 AM Saturday. When they arrived, the woman claimed Bow Wow assaulted her. He claimed it was the opposite.
Both Bow Wow and the woman sustained visible, minor injuries.

Cops busted the man they believe pistol-whipped Tekashi69 and kidnapped him … TMZ has learned. Federal agents arrested Anthony Jamel Ellison a week ago on a federal warrant. According to docs, obtained by TMZ, a grand jury indicted Ellison on 1 count…
Actor Alec Baldwin was arrested Friday for assault, according to New York Police.
Tekashi69 dodged a legal bullet and literal bullets Friday, just as it appears he was on his way to keeping his nose out of trouble. While at a celebration with his new manager after getting sentenced for four years probation at a New York restaurant, gunfire rang out and two men were later arrested.
New York Daily News reports:
Zachary Bunce, 33, of Wyandanch, N.Y. and Faheem Walter, 29, of Manhattan were both charged with gang assault for the fight that ended with guns being flashed and bullets flying at Philippe’s, a high-end restaurant on Madison Ave. and E. 59th St.
Members of the rapper’s entourage were celebrating how Tekashi managed to avoid jail time for a sex abuse case and were trying to push their way into the party — but the new manager objected to their presence, and his privately-hired security turned them away, said law enforcement sources.
After Tekashi left, the spurned crew of four or five men returned to the ritzy restaurant with a beef.
One of the brutes hit one of the manager’s security guards over the head with a chair and flashed a gun.
The wounded guard, a retired cop, pulled his licensed pistol and fired once, hitting Walter in the stomach, cops said.
The outlet adds that Walter attempted to flee the scene in a cab but was later caught by the cops. So far, Tekashi69 has yet to address the matter publicly.

The ongoing saga between Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan took an ugly turn on Friday after the feuding exes got into a bit of drama during a scheduled visitation pickup. As Barnes arrived at the school of their twin boys, Govan reportedly got into a fight with Barnes and tried to take his holiday visit privileges away from her despite having the proper paperwork.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Gloria’s kids were at their school Friday, about to get out for the day, and ex-husband Matt Barnes was scheduled to pick them up. We’re told according to their child custody agreement, Matt had custody for the long, Labor Day weekend.
Our sources say at 2:55 PM — 5 minutes before school let out — Gloria arrived to get the twin boys. She got the children in her car and that’s when Matt showed up and told her it was his weekend for the kids.
We’re told Matt told the kids to get out of Gloria’s car and into his. It appears the kids followed Matt’s instructions, because we’re told Gloria then flew into a rage, tried to follow Matt’s car, screaming and cussing. Our sources say she then blocked Matt’s car with the kids inside, and that’s when someone called 911.
Gloria was arrested for child endangerment and also violating a court order. After police took Gloria to jail, they let Matt take the kids after he showed them paperwork he had custody this weekend.
At 9:00 AM ET today (Sept. 1), Govan reportedly was released on $ 100,000 bond. She is facing felony charges in the child endangerment matter.

Isidore drove with Francis on the hood for about 19 miles before she was stopped, according to police.

The city of Philadelphia is the center of controversy after a pair of Black men were arrested at a local Starbucks this past Thursday as they were awaiting a friend. When asked by a store manager to purchase an item or leave despite them saying they were waiting for a friend, police were called and the men were escorted out in handcuffs.
NBC 10 Philadelphia reports:
After two men were seen in social media video being handcuffed and removed by police officers from a Philadelphia Starbucks Thursday, the coffee chain issued an apology and said it is looking into the “unfortunate result.”
Authorities were called to the store in Center City when the two men allegedly remained in the Starbucks after a manager told them they had to order something, according to the witnesses inside the Starbucks at 18th and Spruce streets. About five to seven police officers arrived about 4:30 p.m. and arrested the two men.
The men, who have not been identified, were later released after Starbucks declined to press trespassing charges.
In one video of the encounter shared on social media, a white patron asks the officers what did the men do to prompt a response. When the friend the pair were waiting on come in, he too asked to which the officers responded by saying “trespassing.”
Philadelphia’s police commissioner Robert Ross defended the actions of the officers, saying that the men were not compliant. Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney also called for an investigation into the matter by the city, with Starbucks doing all the damage control it can during this sensitive racial climate.
We’ve got reactions from Twitter to the Starbucks arrest below and on the following pages.
Ex-NBA player Glen “Big Baby” Davis was arrested for allegedly selling a gang of weed out of a hotel room. The former NBA champion got popped at a Hampton Inn in Maryland.
Per ABC Baltimore, Big Baby actually got pinched last month and that was the start of the struggle.
According to court records, the hotel owner smelled marijuana coming from Davis’ room on February 7th.
When the owner knocked on room 208, someone inside the room told him to “F*@# off!”
Aberdeen police then responded to the hotel and Davis gave signed consent to search his room
“They recovered 126 grams of marijuana,” said Aberdeen Police Lieutenant William Reiber, “In addition to that there was a brief case that contained 92,164 dollars of U.S. currency along with a ledger that contained language which is consistent with someone involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics.”
The ledger was of names of people of who owed money along with baggies for individual packaging of a quarter pound of marijuana.
The strains were called “Sour D” and “Berry,” all from a Los Angeles wholesaler court records show Davis told police he was in business with.
Davis was eventually charged with seven counts of drug possession and distribution, weeks later.
Big Baby says he is innocent and is due back in court next month. His last NBA action was for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2015.
Since the news is out, Big Baby posted a response. See on the flip (Note: It didn’t really help his cause). But the Popeye’s did look delicious.

Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested Saturday in Savannah, Georgia, and charged with obstruction, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, police said.
Reports the Associated Press:
Jamar Clark, 24, died Monday evening, the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said. Clark’s family had said he was on life support in the wake of the shooting early Sunday morning. An autopsy is planned.
The shooting has sparked protests in Minneapolis, including one Monday night in which more than 50 people were arrested after the blocked an interstate highway. Some community members have alleged that Clark was handcuffed when he was shot, which police have disputed.
The BCA is investigating the case, but Mayor Betsy Hodges has requested a federal civil rights investigation.
Clark’s brother, Jamine Robinson, 32, of Rochester, told The Associated Press earlier Tuesday that family members had gone to the hospital Monday evening to take Clark off life support. He said he didn’t go because he didn’t want to see his brother in a hospital bed.
“I want the officer to be arrested, prosecuted and put in jail for eternity. Life without parole,” said Robinson.
Authorities haven’t released many details about the shooting, including the names and races of the officers involved. The BCA scheduled a news conference for later Tuesday to discuss the case.
In seeking the civil rights investigation, Hodges said she was concerned about “transparency and community confidence.” She expressed faith in the state investigation but said the city needs “all the tools we have available to us.”
Two officers have been placed on paid leave and 51 protestors from various organizations were arrested following the ensuing outrage. Let us hope investigators are able to conclude what really happened and keep the peace at the same time.

Stephanie Stone, a 34-year-old mother, was one of two people arrested for leaving her special needs children inside makeshift cages in Murray County, Georgia. Stone and another woman kept her 11-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter locked away for unknown days at a time, and there were drugs on the premises as well.
Local outlet WXIA reported on the case, which broke on Thursday and was announced by authorities on Friday. Stone and another woman, Wana Sue Redfern, were both charged with false imprisonment and cruelty to children. Stone was slapped with an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine. The children were nearly not rescued, but a persistent call by an anonymous caller helped secure their freedom and bring justice to the women.
More from WXIA:
Ninety miles north of Atlanta in Murray County, the sheriff’s office made the horrific discovery when they went to a home for a welfare check.
Thursday at 11 a.m., Murray County deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a child had been left alone. The deputy was met at the door by a girl and an adult female. Since the deputy saw there was adult supervision, he left.
Later that day, the same personal called 911 asking for help again. This time, the deputy went inside and found an 11-year-old boy with special needs in a makeshift cage. Another child, an 8-year-old girl, was also found at the home.
The child’s mother, Stephanie Stone and Wanda Sue Redfern have been charged with false imprisonment and cruelty to children. Stone was also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
GBI Special Agent Greg Ramey, one of the officers that arrived at Stone’s residence, found the boy in a case that was described as “twin bunk beds that were of metal construction” and Ramey added there were “bars that he could not get out of.”
Ramey said that the beds stayed together with the use of zip lines and other types of metal.
Law enforcement officials say a second cage was found inside the home, which was assumed to be for the girl. Georgia’s Division of Children and Family Services were familiar with Stone and her children, this after a case was closed regarding the family just this past May.
Stone is being held on a $ 27,500 bond. Redferen is being held on a $ 25,000 bond.
