Azealia Banks once again is turning heads, not for her formidable musical ability but for reasons outside her profession. The talented, if struggle-adjacent, rapper was served with papers regarding a six-figure lawsuit over credit card debt.

The Blast reports:

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a New York process server claims to have tracked down the New York rapper on April 5 at 10:17 AM.

The docs state the server claims Banks came outside of her New York City apartment to collect a UPS delivery, and when the delivery man asked her last name, she responded, “Banks.”

The server says he proceeded to hand over the docs but claims the woman changed her tune and told him Banks lived there but she was not home and refused to give up her name.

Tough times.

Perhaps Banks will address this in her new podcast series.

Elon Musk Hopes To Block Ex Grimes & Azealia Banks From Tweet Lawsuit Hearing

Elon Musk during 'Elon Musk Answers Your Questions!' at SXSW

Source: WENN.com / WENN

Elon Musk triggered a fraud investigation and a fine from the Securities Exchange Commission after he fired off a tweet that he was going to take his company Tesla public at $ 420 per share. At the time, the tweet was made with his ex-girlfriend Grimes and Azealia Banks in his presence and investors in a lawsuit against him with to subpoena the women but Musk’s legal team is hoping to block the move.

Bloomberg reports:

“It is readily apparent that this is more of an effort to sensationalize these proceedings than a legitimate attempt to preserve evidence,” attorney Dean Kristy said in a filing Thursday in federal court in San Francisco.

The Tesla shareholders say the former girlfriend, Canadian singer Claire Elise Boucher, also known as Grimes, may have first-hand knowledge about what Musk was thinking Aug. 7 when he shocked the world with a tweet: “Am considering taking Tesla private at $ 420. Funding secured.”

The investors claim Musk and Tesla manipulated the company’s share price. They allege Musk lied about funding to push the shares higher and ambush short sellers betting against the company.

The investors cite news media accounts placing Musk in the company of Boucher, and rapper Azealia Banks, around the time of the tweet. They contend it’s not unreasonable to subpoena Boucher and Banks to ensure the preservation of anything in writing that might be relevant to the lawsuit — Twitter and Instagram messages in particular.

Banks responded to news of the filing by Musk’s attorney, writing, “This is going to get extremely ugly” before deleting the post.

Azealia Banks Blasts Wild ‘N Out, Says She Was Ambushed By Colorism Jokes

Another day and Azealia Banks is complaining. This time the enigmatic artist is blasting Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out for allegedly ambushing her with tasteless colorism jokes during a taping.

Banks claim she had been invited just to perform and wasn’t supposed to participate in the freestyle battle portion where feelings are known to get hurt.

Instead, Banks claims she got hit with the jig, particularly with jokes about her brown skin and being called ugly, which caused her to cry.

“They planned this – hit me on short notice, told me I didn’t have to participate in the coon ass freestyle battles ,(not my style) and I was to sing my song and go home. I show up and some guy who’s darker than me starts calling me ugly and being colorist, then all of a sudden a choir of the most disgustingly basic, local, cattle call “urban” pseudo comedic “FAT BECause You sit in a chair all day” greasy soul food induced south of the mason Dixon ,self hatred,” read part of her message on Instagram.

She added, “Ass It#backwards, post-Jim crow , post traumatic slave disorder true self esteem less, Ward of the state CLOWNS with their low scale and highly UNimpressive resumes, start going off about how the beautiful Azealia Banks looks! I’ve never felt so much hate and rage for anyone else than I did in that moment.”

Due to Banks’ history, we gotta hear both sides. Also worth mentioning, Banks posted photos relaying she had a good time, including meeting Lil Yachty, at the taping.

Nick Cannon has responded (see on the flip).

Azealia Banks Trending For Beefing With Cardi B, Not Her Music, As Usual

Source: Mayweather vs McGregor Pre-Event VIP Party Red Carpet at T-Mobile Arena Featuring: Cardi B Where: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States When: 26 Aug 2017 Credit: Judy Eddy/WENN.com

Cardi B responded to the criticism that Azealia Banks, once again, sent her way in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club. The Bronx rapper went in on Banks by breaking down what she had to say about her (she called Cardi a “caricature.”).

“A woman who constantly finds joy in belittling black women (Beyonce, Rihanna, Skai Jackson, Remy Ma), cant try and stand for them because it’s convenient,” wrote Cardi. “The difference between me and you, I’ve never pretended to be or represent someone I’m not! I’ve made it where I am for being myself and staying true to that.”

Belcalis wasn’t done.

She added, “You busy trying to be a voice of reason and representative for women of color when you can’t even reason with yourself. You can’t understand where your insecurities come from and why your [sic] not happy in your OWN skin so you think because YOU can’t figure your sh*t out that you can create confusion for me, make me unsure about who I am! I know who I am! A daughter to a Hispanic father and a carribean [sic] mother and I’m proud of that!”

Instagram Photo

Of course, Azealia Banks had to respond in not so kind.

“I spoke about it for all of two minutes in an interview and you respond by calling me unattractive…mentioning my bleaching my skin and telling me to “‘suck your ass’ immediately proving yourself to be exactly who I thought .you were…A bird,” wrote Banks in her own now deleted post.

Banks definitely went in, extensively. After the clapback of the clapback, Cardi seems to have deleted or at least deactivated her Instagram.

Imagine if Azealia Banks used this same energy to promote her actual music and not talk ish about everyone else? Just saying.

Remy Ma Claps Back At Struggle Rapper Azealia Banks With All The Receipts

Documented struggle rapper Azealia Banks decided to do nothing productive and instead come for Remy Ma. The Bronx rapper collected her receipts and has clapped back furiously.

It all started when Banks shaded the hell out of Remy in an Instagram post. After feeling slighted by Remy in a recent interview, Banks proceeded to say the “All The Way Up” rapper is “not important to female rap” and is nothing more than a Nicki Minaj stan nowadays, amongst other slander.

But then Remy proceeded to share texts from Azealia Banks where the “212” rapper was praising her. Actually, it was borderline butt kissing, no shots.

Then Azealia came back with this remix of her first suspect message…

Azealia Banks Calls BET Awards ‘Bogus,’ Says Nicki Minaj Wins ‘Every Year’

Azealia Banks is never one to hide her feelings, and it’s safe to say she’s really not feeling her BET Award nomination for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.

Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Trina, Tink and Dej Loaf are up for the honor along with Banks, who took to Twitter on Monday to express her thoughts on the “bogus” award show:

Minaj certainly has been a favorite at the BET Awards and has taken home the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist for the last five consecutive years. She has yet to respond to Banks’ comments, but she’s likely basking in the afterglow of dropping the video for “Feeling Myself” with Beyonce.

Besides, Banks claims her comments weren’t supposed to be taken as jabs at Minaj anyway:

Azealia Banks Says BET Awards Are Bogus

Leave it to Azealia Banks to take getting nominated for a BET Award as a reason for slander. The outspoken rapper took to Twitter to criticize the BET Awards and its Best Female Hip Hop Artist category.

The problem, for Banks, is that Nicki Minaj has won the aforementioned category five years in a row.

“I really hate getting nominated for @bet awards. They’re so bogus,” tweeted Banks on Monday morning (May 18). “The female rap award at the bet awards goes to nicki every year, it’s not even a real award anymore lol it’s a bit of a running joke.”

Banks also went on to be critical of “urban” and “Black” media for inevitably covering her struggle.

“3,2,1 all the urban media sites gonna run a headline saying I’m throwing shots,” she wrote. “Black media is so stupid and pointless. What a sh*tty cycle.”

This is where we mention that Iggy Azalea doesn’t have any trouble beating Nicki Minaj for awards. Is that Black media’s fault as well?

Does Banks have beef with the Billboard Music Awards, too?

Check the rest of the “212” rapper’s spiel on the next page.

Azealia Banks Catches Heat For Dating White Actor Jesse Bradford [Photos]

Azealia Banks has a new an in her life, if anyone is heartbroken by that information you might as well stop reading this now. Banks is dating actor Jesse Bradford, who happens to be a White guy.

Not that there’s anything wrong with interracial relationships, it’s just that she talks a lot about race and White supremacy, cultural appropriation, and the like. That could make Bradford a uneasy, pr maybe he likes a strong Black woman willing to going to war for her case (whatever that may be).

E! News got the scoop on these two:

An insider tells us that the 23-year-old hip-hop artist, who also gave a multifacted performance at the 2015 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, showed up at theNylon Midnight Garden party on Friday with the 35-year-old Bring It On star. The pair looked “super cute” and were seen hugging and holding hands throughout.

We hear that the duo opted not to pose for official pics together at the event, and in fact separated when asked, but then ultimately reconnected at the party before leaving together.

Well, they may not have wanted to couple up for the event cameras, but Banks hasn’t been shy about letting the world know that she and Bradford are hanging out.

“@jessebradford Look at this crazy guy,” the “Chasing Time” singer captioned a pic of the two of them goofing around in her RV that she posted Friday.

“Happy people (don’t look at my shadow goatee),” she followed up with another pic yesterday (Bradford’s denim button-down sure got a workout over the weekend…), poking fun at the little shadow on her chin that on first glance could be mistaken for a soul patch.

Reps for Banks and Bradford haven’t yet returned requests for comment.

Bradford seems pretty chill, and he smiles a lot. Maybe that energy will permanently rub off on his new boo thang.

Hit the flip for pics and Twitter reactions to this lovely new union.

Hella Late: Azealia Banks Gives Up Twitter For Lent [Photos]

Azaelia Banks quietly quit Twitter for lent. Never mind the fact that Lent started in mid-February and it’s early March. The rapper tweeted Sunday (March 1) that she’s jumping in the “40 days, 40 nights” game a day late and dollar short. But at least she made it, right?

Twitter has been a saving grace for the Harlem native’s career in that it not only provides a forum to her thoughts, it also keep her name in the mix. The latter is definitely necessary when musing over race and white supremacy in one breathe, and getting naked for Playboy in the next. It’s nice that we get to see her range.

Like Iggy Azalea, Banks could definitely use a self-inflicted break from social media. Maybe she should one-up her nemesis and stay the hell off of Twitter for the rest of 2015.

Yeah right.

Lupe Fiasco, Kid Cudi & Azealia Banks Spar Over Twitter

Lupe Fiasco, Kid Cudi and Azealia Banks engaged in beef today over Twitter stemming comments Kendrick Lamar made in Billboard.

HipHopDX News

It’s Azealia Banks and Kid Cudi Vs Lupe Fiasco On Twitter [Photos]

Remembers when rappers threw jabs at each other in rhyme? In 2015 that’s mostly done via tweets, and recently Lupe Fiasco and Azealia Banks got into social media fisticuffs while Kid Cudi also got involved in some keyboard sparring with the Chicago MC.

It all started when Lupe came to the defense of Kendrick Lamar (he tweeted, “#BeMoreLikeKendrickLamar), who many took issue with over his recent comments about Ferguson.

That’s when Azealia Banks stepped in and said, “@LupeFiasco you still haven’t made a decent song since i was 17,” and the fecal matter hit the proverbial fan shortly thereafter.

Fiasco retweeted an old Banks tweets about stealing his flow, she responded with slander, and most people sat back and watched the show 140 characters at a time.

Then Kid Cudi came along and subtweeted Lupe, which led to those two bickering, again.

Azealia Banks Calls Kendrick Lamar Comments “Dumbest Sh*t I’ve Ever Heard A Black Man Say”

Azealia Banks joined the Twitter discussion regarding Kendrick Lamar’s Billboard cover story — particularly statements he made regarding Black people.

Citing that Michael Brown’s death in Ferguson, Mo. was a travesty, Lamar continued “But when we don’t have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within. Don’t start with just a rally, don’t start from looting — it starts from within.”

The Harlem rapper focused her angst on the aforementioned statement, calling it the “dumbest sh*t I’ve ever heard a black man say.”

Banks has been at the head of multiple racial discussions in the last few weeks, directing public critiques at Iggy Azalea for cultural appropriation, arguing her case on Hot 97 and even engaging in Twitter beef with Action Bronson.

Action Bronson & Azealia Banks Beef About Race [Photos]

Action Bronson and Azealia Banks got into a  good old-fashioned Twitter war today that involved Q-Tip, Solange Knowles, and Tyler the Creator, by default. To give a little back story, Banks has had her back up against the wall today because of her interview with Hot 97.

Since she made some interesting, and emotional points on Hot 97 talk, the talk about  race, and “cultural appropriation” trickled over into Twitterland. Bronson’s name was thrown into the conversation by way of a random tweet to Banks about “white people who can rap.”

The Queens rapper jumped on Banks for even mentioning his name, and everything got out of control from there. Banks called him a “tribute band” version of Ghostface Killah a “fat meatball,” and a myriad of other insults.

Bronson hit below the belt too. He mentioned melting off her “boy t*ts” and said she lacked  “sex appeal,” “talent”, and a fan base “outside Manchester, England”

That wasn’t even the end of it either. Q-Tip and Knowles were pulled in by Bronson’s tweet about “people” supporting Banks’s views, and  making her a “Civil Rights activist.”

He obviously got questioned about using the word “people,” but insists that it wasn’t about race.

Check some of the tweets in the gallery.
