By now you know about Allbirds, the San Francisco-based company that makes Merino wool shoes. Everyone raves about them: people love the style, the comfort, the carbon-neutral production. And we love Allbirds, too. That’s why we’re really excited to tell you about Allbirds’ latest promotion. Buy a pair of Allbirds today, and you can get a Merino wool Allbirds koozie, free!
Normally $ 10, Allbirds is throwing in a free koozie with every shoe purchase for a limited time. Turns out, the same merino wool that works so well at keeping your feet cool and dry (or warm and dry) is also great for keeping your beverage cold and your hand warm. Who knew?
So, while you’ve probably heard of Allbirds, have you tried the shoes yet? Then it’s time to find out what all the buzz is about. Give Allbirds a try today, and get your free koozie. If after 30 days you’re not confident that this is the world’s most comfortable shoe, Allbirds will take it back and refund your money, no questions asked. But please, keep the koozie.
The company is based on a simple plan: Better materials, better design, and responsible, sustainable production. That’s it. The sheep wool—20 percent finer than human hair—is responsibly harvested (and the sheep are treated very well, thanks). The manufacturing utilizes modern techniques to reduce energy and materials waste. The lightweight, comfortable soles are made of low-density foam that’s made with castor bean oil, for supreme cushioning and a lower carbon output compared to petroleum-based foams. The laces and eyelets are made using 100 percent recycled plastic, and the packaging is 90 percent post-consumer recycled cardboard.
And the shoes are as simple and clean as the production—free of gaudy logos and unnecessary embellishments that take away from what the product was designed for: to be the most comfortable shoe ever. And there’s the kicker: they’re machine washable.
There are only three Allbirds styles for men, and just two materials to choose from: Merino wool, or Allbirds’ proprietary knit that’s made using responsibly-farmed eucalyptus pulp. The shoes are broken up into two families: Wool, and Tree. The Wool is renowned for its temperature regulating and moisture-wicking softness that keeps your feet warm in cold weather, and cool in hot weather. The Tree, meanwhile, is designed for lightness and breathability. Best of all, the eucalyptus has that same cooling effect on your feet that it does in your nose when you breathe it in. Both are soft and not scratchy at all. And, of course, responsibly produced.
You can go for the Runners, active shoes designed with a lightweight, low-density foam outsole made for all-day comfort. Or you can opt for Loungers, comfy slip-ons with a super-lightweight sugar-cane SweetFoam sole. Those come in either the Wool or Tree material. Or you can choose the Tree Toppers, Allbirds’ version of high tops. That’s it. Pick your color, get your koozie, and start walking.
No flashy logos. No senseless details. Just the world’s most comfortable shoes, made naturally and designed practically. It’s that simple.
To get your free koozie, first, add it to your cart, then shop around for your perfect pair of Allbirds. Once your shoes are in the cart, the $ 10 price tag drops off the koozie. It’s all yours, free.

“What is this? ‘Daddy’s beer?’ … “Ohhhhh.”
So began the next stage of Jordan and Kelsey Cocklin’s life together. The Nashville, Tennessee, couple has been married for 18 months — long enough for Kelsey to know the perfect way to surprise Jordan with a pregnancy announcement.
“I love craft beer,” Jordan Cocklin told The Huffington Post in an email. “So when I got home that night, she told me she had a surprise in the fridge for me. I assumed she had found a rare beer, or a beer I really liked. I didn’t think twice about looking in there, or think there was something else going on.”
When Jordan peeked in the fridge, he found a rare beer indeed: Dad beer.
Kelsey captured the grand reveal on video in January, but the couple waited until a safe point in the pregnancy to share the news, posting the video to YouTube on Tuesday. Despite what looks like disappointment, Jordan says he was just shocked and is extremely excited to be a dad.
“This video, unfortunately, only captured my initial shock,” he told HuffPost. “I am BEYOND excited to take this journey with my amazing wife. We feel extremely blessed by this pregnancy, and are looking forward to the road ahead.”
“Our baby is growing and very healthy,” Jordan added. Kelsey is due September 30th.

The former pool hall will become a full bar, restaurant and live music venue by the end of the year. Berkeley's nightlife scene continues to evolve (and possibly mature), with the reconfiguration of the former Thalassa space as a music venue and craft beer garden. As a result, the 12,000 square-foot space, will transform from a pool hall into a full bar and full-service restaurant, with a large stage for live music and an outdoor beer garden with separate entrances for the restaurant and music venue. Berkeleyside reports that Alex Popov of Liquid Entertainment (the company in charge of the live venue) wants to create a "flexible space" for bands, DJs and special events, similar to setup at The Chapel in San Francisco.
The first Austin incarnation of the festival happens April 18 at Carson Creek Ranch. Two of Austin's greatest obsessions, indie music and craft beer, will get top billing when a Dallas-based festival hits town later this spring. The Untapped Festival will bring 65 brewers and headliners like Manchester Orchestra, Phosphorescent, Black Joe Lewis and Jean Grae to Carson Creek Ranch on April 18. In addition to showcasing Austin's homegrown brewing talent, the festival promises to bring in beers from breweries not normally distributed in Austin, according to a press release.
