Pill Cosby Has Fired All His Lawyers

Source: EDUARDO MUNOZ ALVAREZ/AFP/Getty Images)

While Bill Cosby awaits his sentencing after being convicted of sexual assault, he is getting new lawyers. The disgraced comedian has fired his entire legal team.

Reports Page Six:

Convicted sexual predator Bill Cosby has canned his entire legal team ahead of his Sept. 25 sentencing, his spokesman told The Post.

“Joseph P. Green Jr. is Mr. Cosby’s new attorney,” Andrew Wyatt said after the news broke that Cosby had tossed all of his high-powered legal team.

The mass-firing occurs as the 80-year-old faces sentencing in September on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and molesting Andrea Constand in his suburban Philadelphia home in January 2004.

Cosby was convicted at his April retrial, and faces up to 10 years behind bars on each count.

It’s worth noting that Cosby previously dismissed the team whose trial ended with a mistrial in 2017.

Cosby is currently out on bail, and rocking an ankle monitor. In other news, maybe Camille isn’t leaving him after all.

How the high and mighty have fallen. Until he is formally sentenced, convicted felon Bill Cosby is on house arrest and will have to wear a GPS ankle monitor.

Hey, those are the rules,

Reports Page Six:

A day after the comedian was found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in 2004, Judge Steven O’Neill outlined the strict bail conditions, saying the 80-year-old can only leave his house to meet with lawyers or doctors.

Even then, he can’t stray far from his home county and needs written permission from the probation office.

Cosby, who is out on $ 1 million bail, faces up to 30 years behind bars.

Judge Refuses To Throw Out Defamation Suit Against Cosby

BOSTON (AP) — A defamation lawsuit brought against Bill Cosby by three women who say he sexually abused them decades ago can move forward, a federal judge in Massachusetts ruled Friday, delivering a legal blow to the comedian as he attempts to defend himself against accusations of sexual assault by dozens of women.

The women claim in their lawsuit that Cosby’s representatives damaged their reputations by denying their allegations in sometimes disparaging language. Cosby’s lawyers had asked the judge to dismiss their suit, arguing that the remarks were personal opinions protected by the First Amendment and legal declarations made in his defense.

But in his ruling Friday, U.S. District Court Judge Mark Mastroianni rejected Cosby’s bid to dismiss the case before it ever goes to a jury.

The women — Tamara Green, Therese Serignese and Linda Traitz — have accused Cosby of drugging them and then having unwanted sexual contact with them.

The comments they claim were defamatory range from statements dismissing their accusations as “ridiculous claims” and “absurd fabrication” to longer remarks that sought to discredit the accusers.

“As the old saying goes, ‘consider the source,” ended one statement that touched on Traitz’s criminal and prison record.

In his ruling, Mastroianni rejects Cosby’s argument that the statements were legal declarations made in self-defense.

“The court recognizes that some jurisdictions do apply a version of the conditional self-defense privilege, which allows individuals, in certain circumstances, to publish defamatory responsive statements necessary to defend their reputation. However … such a privilege does not permit a defendant to knowingly publish false statements of fact,” the judge wrote in his 38-page ruling.

Telephone messages left for four attorneys who represent Cosby in the Massachusetts lawsuit were not immediately returned. Cosby has a house in Shelburne Falls, in western Massachusetts.

“As we’d expected and hoped, the judge rejected every one of Mr. Cosby’s attempts to throw the case out of court and allowed the case to proceed,” said Joseph Cammarata, an attorney who represents the three women.

“We will take Mr. Cosby’s deposition at the earliest possible moment. My clients look forward to moving the case forward and to restoring their good names and reputations.”

“Dateline NBC” aired a special Friday night in which 29 Cosby accusers were interviewed together about their allegations. Cosby has never been charged with a crime and he has denied the allegations.

Cosby was deposed Friday in a Los Angeles case against him. Lawyer Gloria Allred, the defendant’s lawyer in that case, said she would speak on the deposition Saturday in Boston. A third lawsuit in also pending in Los Angeles.

Court documents unsealed in July show Cosby admitting in 2005 to carrying on extramarital relationships with several women, including some who accuse him of sexual assault. The testimony added to the unsavory details that have all but wrecked his nice-guy reputation as TV’s Dr. Cliff Huxtable and made a mockery of his preaching about decency and personal responsibility.

Bill Cosby Scandal: New Accusers With New Allegations

Nearly 50 women have come forward to accuse Bill Cosby of drugging and/or sexually assaulting them, but the statute of limitations has run out for most. Now, 24-year-old Chloe Goins, the first woman whose assault allegations could possibly fall within the statute of limitations, opens up about her claims of a night with Cosby at the Playboy Mansion seven years ago.

“It makes me upset every time I think about it,” says Goins in a daytime TV exclusive interview with Dr. Phil airing on Thursday. She alleges that Cosby offered her a drink when she was 18, and claims that the next thing she remembers is waking up to him licking her toes. “It was a disgusting thing to happen to me, that happened to these other women, and I’ll never be able to fully grasp that or get over that.”

Cosby has admitted under oath that he obtained prescriptions for Quaaludes to give women before having sex with them, but has repeatedly denied all allegations of drugging and sexually abusing women.

Watch What Happens When Seven Cosby Accusers Come Together

Goins gives her account of what she says happened that night and what she says inspired her to come forward on Thursday’s episode of Dr. Phil. She’s joined by several other Cosby accusers, including model Beverly Johnson and Eden Tiri, who had a role on The Cosby Show

In this video, Tiri recalls being asked to meet Cosby in his dressing room. “He walks in, he closes the door, he locks it,” she says. “He came up behind me and we did some mirror exercise; he put his hands on the back of mine, and we did this very strange thing that actors know as a mirror exercise. Then he pulled me into him, and yes, now his body is pressed up against mine, and he’s nuzzling my neck. And he says the strangest thing: This is all we were going to do — make love. This is making love.”

An all-new season of Dr. Phil starts Monday, September 14. Watch a preview here.

Judge Orders Bill Cosby To Give Sworn Deposition In Lawsuit

LOS ANGELES, Aug 5 (Reuters) – Bill Cosby has been ordered to give a sworn deposition in a lawsuit brought by a woman accusing the comedian of plying her with alcohol and sexually abusing her at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles when she was 15 years old.

It marks the first time Cosby, 78, has been directed to testify under oath in response to a complaint of sexual misconduct against him since a deposition he gave in a separate Pennsylvania case he settled out of court nine years ago.

The latest order, made public on Wednesday, a day after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge entered it, requires Cosby to submit under oath to questions from the lawyer of his Los Angeles accuser, Judy Huth, on Oct. 9. Now in her 50s, Huth must likewise answer questions from his attorneys on Oct. 15.

Huth gained somewhat of a tactical advantage from the judge’s decision compelling Cosby to go first.

The precise times and places were not revealed, but Huth’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, has said she expects to depose Cosby in Massachusetts, where he resides.

The way for the depositions, a key part of the discovery process in civil litigation, was cleared when the California Supreme Court last month denied Cosby’s petition to review the case, dealing a final blow to his efforts to fend off Huth’s lawsuit.

Her complaint, brought in December 2014, charged that Cosby sexually abused her by putting his hand down her pants and then “taking her hand in his hand and performing a sex act on himself without her consent.”

Huth alleged the encounter occurred days after she and a female friend met Cosby at a park where he was filming a movie. According to her account, Cosby invited the girls the following weekend to his tennis club, where they all had drinks together before he led them on to the Playboy Mansion.

Cosby’s attorney Martin Singer has called Huth’s allegations false and “defamatory.”

Huth is one of more than 40 women who have come forward in the past year to say that they were raped or molested by Cosby after he gave them alcohol or drugs in incidents dating back decades.

In 2006 Cosby reached a confidential settlement for an undisclosed sum with a former Temple University employee, Andrea Constand, who accused him of sexual assault. Parts of the deposition he gave in that case were made public last month.

Huth’s complaint is one of at least four pending civil suits against Cosby stemming from such accusations.

However, Allred has said Huth’s is the only one seeking damages for the alleged misconduct itself, citing repressed psychological injuries that she claims were only discovered in the last three years, and therefore are allowed under the statute of limitations.

The other plaintiffs are suing for defamation instead.

Cosby has never been criminally charged. He and his lawyers acknowledge marital infidelity on his part but have consistently denied allegations of criminal wrongdoing. (Editing by Sandra Maler, Eric Walsh and Ken Wills)

Bill Cosby Covers New York Mag & New York Daily News For All The Wrong Reasons [Photos]

Bill Cosby‘s week is off to an epically terrible start. New York magazine featured 35 of the comedian and accused rapist’s alleged victims in its latest issue and the New York Daily News threw salt on the wound by making him a cover star, too.

The New York mag piece and its provocative cover is sure to be trending all day as 35 women shared their stories about being victimized by the man we all knew as Cliff Huxtable, but is now known as “Pill Cosby.”

The New York Daily News highlighted the story, along with the headline “America’s Rapist.”

Is part of the pile on because Cosby was once one of the most well regarded Black men in America? That could be part of it. However, before you go trying to defend the indefensible, check out his deposition where he admits to drugging women.

If this isn’t the final nail in the coffin of Cosby’s wrecked legacy…

Cosby Show Actor States Bill Cosby Is Guilty

Cosby Show actor and 90s posterchild for Black Brooks Brothers everywhere, Joseph C. Phillips is stepping out in front of all his former co-stars and proclaiming that Bill Cosby is indeed guilty as accused.

Although the actor who played Lt. Martin Kendall admits he never actually saw a Cosby violate or drug a victim, it was a first-hand account from a woman (presumably a notable actress) who confirmed what many believe for him personally.

From his blog:

I am also of the opinion that some women who are married to prominent men strike a deal with themselves. They believe that, for men, the act of sex is removed from love. The bargain they make is that as long as their husbands continue to bring home the checks and don’t bring home any babies or diseases, they will overlook any dalliances.

So, in 1989, my attitude was that if Bill was cheating on Camille, I am fairly certain Camille knew. Hey, if everyone who claimed to know actually knew, then certainly Camille knew, and had long ago made her peace with it. At any rate, it was none of my business. I never saw Bill engage in any inappropriate behavior. I certainly never saw him drug anyone. So, all I have is the same gossip as everyone else.

As the accusations began to increase, I became increasingly disturbed. I was fairly certain that some of the women were lying through their teeth, but certainly not all of them. Discovering that the man you idolize may be a serial rapist is a bit traumatic. I don’t imagine it is anything near to the trauma of the alleged victims. Nevertheless, I found it unsettling.

I was particularly shaken the afternoon I bumped into an old friend while shopping. The controversy was at its height. The story of Bill was all over the press. I hadn’t seen this woman for many years. Back in the day, I had asked her out on a few dates, but was relegated to the friend zone so fast it made my ears wiggle. We had kept in touch for a few years, but our lives had taken different paths. Over the years, I had watched with a passive interest as her career grew, so I was excited to see her and catch up a bit.

As we spoke, I recalled that Bill had been her mentor (play father, teacher…something. I couldn’t quite recall what it was). The question popped into my head.

“Hey, do you mind if I ask you something?”

She looked at me and then asked, “Is it going to make me cry?”

I was a bit taken aback. “Well,” I stammered. “I hope it doesn’t make you cry.”

She smiled. “Go ahead and ask your question.”

“Back in the day,” I started. “I remember that you knew Bill – that he was like your mentor or something. Did he ever…”

Before I finished the sentence, she began to cry.

We spent the next two hours sitting on a bench talking. Through tears, she told me her story. She cursed him for violating both her trust and her body. She cursed herself for not being smarter, and for degrading herself in pursuit of success. I listened patiently. As she began to run out of steam, she turned to me. “Do you believe me?”

“Yes.” I said. “I believe you.”

“Why?” she asked.

“Because I don’t believe that you are crazy and only a crazy person would sit with me all this time and share a fantasy.”

Given that the story is true, it is all but clear that Cosby never met a woman he didn’t want to think deserved “A Piece of the Action.”

Watch Phillips elaborate on his Cosby stance on the CCN Sunrise Morning TV Talk Show,

Bill Cosby Dropped By Talent Agency CAA

Bill Cosby has been dumped by his talent agency, CAA, and is currently without representation, according to Deadline Hollywood.

According to the website, Creative Artists Agency actually cut ties with him late last year — well before the Associated Press obtained previously sealed court documents in which the 77-year-old admitted he bought Quaaludes with the intention of giving them to women he intended to have sex with, and admitted to giving a sedative to at least one woman.

The agency, who represented the actor and comedian since 2012, remained tight-lipped about the split, only telling Deadline, “We do not represent [Cosby] at this time.”

Cosby, who has now been accused of sexual assault by more than two dozen women, has never been charged with a crime. Additionally, the statute of limitations on most of the allegations has already expired, however, several of Cosby’s accusers are currently suing the actor for defamation

Cosby’s longtime rep David Brokaw declined comment to Deadline and has yet to respond to request for comment made by The Huffington Post.

Bill Cosby Statue Kicked Out Of Disney’s Hollywood Studios At Walt Disney World

A Bill Cosby statue is being evicted from Walt Disney World.

A bronze bust of the actor, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than two dozen women, was removed on Tuesday night from a section of the Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park that pays tribute to TV legends, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The move comes after the Associated Press obtained court documents from 2005 in which the comic and actor admitted to obtaining quaaludes with the intention of giving them to women with whom he planned to have sex.

Cosby has never been criminally charged in connection with the accusations.

Brittany Gavrilova, who says her aunt is one of Cosby’s alleged victims, commended the removal of the statue this week.

“Especially now that a document has been released where he has admitted to it, I don’t think that someone like that should be placed on a pedestal, especially where people bring their families,” Gavrilova told WESH.

Gavrilova had posted a petition on Change.org several months ago calling for the bust’s removal.

The statue was part of the theme park’s Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza, which features busts of TV legends such as Lucille Ball, Dick Clark, Andy Griffith, Oprah Winfrey and Walt Disney.

As of early Wednesday, Cosby was still listed on the website as one of the celebrity busts on display. However, local media reported that the statue would be out of the park by the time it opens in the morning.

Bill Cosby Admitted To Drugging Women For Sex In 2005 Deposition [PHOTOS]

Bill Cosby apparently confessed to drugging women that he wanted to have sex with, a decade ago. The admission came during a 2005 deposition involving a lawsuit brought on by a Temple University employee.

Cosby has been under fire for months, after dozens of women stepped up with sexual assault allegations against the now 77-year-old comedian.

Reports the Associated Press:

Bill Cosby testified in 2005 that he got Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, and he admitted giving the sedative to at least one woman and “other people,” according to documents obtained Monday by The Associated Press.

The AP had gone to court to compel the release of the documents; Cosby’s lawyers had objected on the grounds that it would embarrass their client.

The 77-year-old comedian was testifying under oath in a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee. He testified he gave her three half-pills of Benadryl.

Cosby settled that sexual-abuse lawsuit for undisclosed terms in 2006. His lawyers in the Philadelphia case did not immediately return phone calls Monday.

Cosby has continued to publicly deny the various sexual abuse stories, which include that of model Beverly Johnson, who says he once attempted to drug and have sex with her.

Bill Cosby Admitted To Drugging Women In 2005 Deposition

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Bill Cosby admitted in 2005 that he secured quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with and that he gave the sedative to at least one woman and other people, according to documents obtained Monday by The Associated Press.

Cosby’s lawyers insisted that two of the accusers knew they were taking quaaludes from the comedian, according to the unsealed documents.

Nevertheless, attorneys for some of the numerous women suing Cosby seized on the testimony as powerful corroboration of what they have been saying all along: that he drugged and raped women.

The AP had gone to court to compel the release of a deposition in a sexual-abuse case filed by former Temple University employee Andrea Constand, the first of a cascade of lawsuits against him that have severely damaged his good-guy image.

Cosby’s lawyers had objected to the release of the material, arguing it would embarrass him. Ultimately, a judge unsealed just a small portion of the deposition.

“The stark contrast between Bill Cosby, the public moralist and Bill Cosby, the subject of serious allegations concerning improper (and perhaps criminal) conduct is a matter as to which the AP — and by extension the public — has a significant interest,” U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno wrote.

Cosby, with his oft-espoused views on topics including childrearing, family life, education and crime, “has voluntarily narrowed the zone of privacy that he is entitled to claim,” the judge wrote.

Cosby, who starred as Dr. Cliff Huxtable on “The Cosby Show” from 1984 to 1992, settled Constand’s lawsuit under confidential terms in 2006. His lawyers in the Philadelphia case did not immediately return telephone calls seeking comment on Monday. Constand consented to be identified but did not want to comment, her lawyer said.

“This evidence shows a pattern in which defendant ‘mentored’ naive young women and introduced drugs into the relationship, with and without the woman’s knowledge, in order for him to achieve sexual satisfaction,” Constand’s lawyer, Dolores M. Troiani, argued in court papers.

Cosby, 77, has been accused by more than two dozen women of sexual misconduct in episodes dating back more than four decades. Cosby has never been charged with a crime, and the statute of limitations on most of the accusations has expired.

“If today’s report is true, Mr. Cosby admitted under oath 10 years ago sedating women for sexual purposes,” said Lisa Bloom, attorney for model Janice Dickinson, who says she was drugged and raped. “Given that, how dare he publicly vilify Ms. Dickinson and accuse her of lying when she tells a very similar story?”

Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing several women, said she hopes to use the admission in court cases against the comedian.

Cosby, giving sworn testimony in the lawsuit accusing him of sexual assaulting Constand at his home in Pennsylvania in 2004, said he obtained seven quaalude prescriptions in the 1970s. Constand’s lawyer asked if he had kept the sedatives through the 1990s, after they were banned, but was frustrated by objections from Cosby’s attorney.

“When you got the quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?” Troiani asked.

 ”Yes,” Cosby answered.

“Did you ever give any of these young women the quaaludes without their knowledge?” Troiani asked.

Cosby’s lawyer again objected, leading Troiani to petition the federal judge to force Cosby to cooperate.

Cosby later said he gave Constand three half-pills of Benadryl, although Troiani in the documents voices doubt that was the drug involved.

Cosby had fought the AP’s efforts to unseal the testimony, with his lawyer arguing that the deposition could reveal details of Cosby’s marriage, sex life and prescription drug use.

“It would be terribly embarrassing for this material to come out,” lawyer George M. Gowen III argued in June.

He also said the material would “prejudice him in eyes of the jury pool in Massachusetts,” where Cosby is fighting defamation lawsuits brought by women who say his representatives smeared them by accusing them of lying.

Robreno, the judge, had temporarily sealed some documents in the Constand lawsuit but never ruled on a final seal before the case was settled. Under federal court rules in Pennsylvania, documents must be unsealed after two years unless a party can show specific harm. The judge ruled that Cosby’s potential embarrassment was insufficient.

Robreno asked last month why Cosby was fighting the release of his sworn testimony, given that the accusations in the Constand lawsuit were already public.

“Why would he be embarrassed by his own version of the facts?” the judge said.

Cosby resigned in December from the board of trustees at Temple, where he was the popular face of the Philadelphia school in advertisements, fundraising campaigns and commencement speeches.

Lawyer Gayle Sproul, representing the AP, in court last month called the married Cosby “an icon” who “held himself out as someone who would guide the public in ways of morality.”

Troiani, summarizing her evidence, painted a starkly different picture.

Cosby “has evidenced a predilection for sexual contact with women who are unconscious or drugged. His victims are young, ‘star struck’ and totally trusting of his public persona,” Troiani argued.

Cosby later said he gave Constand three half-pills of Benadryl, although Troiani in the documents voices doubt that was the drug involved.

Bill Cosby Seeks To Block Subpoena In Sexual Assault Case

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Bill Cosby is seeking to keep the lid on material linked to a confidential 2006 settlement of a Philadelphia sex-assault lawsuit.

Cosby’s lawyers moved Tuesday to block a subpoena sent to a lawyer for the Philadelphia accuser by three women now suing Cosby for defamation in Massachusetts. Tamara Green, Therese Serignese and Linda Traitz accuse Cosby of defaming them by having his agents deny their claims that the actor had molested them in the 1970s.

They believe documents from the former Temple University employee’s lawsuit will help their cause. Andrea Constand accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her at his suburban mansion. However, her settlement with the actor is protected by a confidentiality agreement.

Cosby’s lawyers argued Tuesday that court confidentiality agreements “should not be set aside lightly.”

Defense lawyer George M. Gowen asked the Pennsylvania court to at least wait until a judge rules on Cosby’s bid to throw out the Massachusetts case. He also asked for the right to review and challenge any material set to be unsealed.

The motion was filed in federal court in Philadelphia.

Cosby, 77, has denied wrongdoing and has not been charged with a crime.

The Massachusetts plaintiffs are among dozens of women who have stepped forward in recent years with assault accusations against Cosby.

Model Janice Dickinson Sues Bill Cosby For Defamation Over Rape Claims

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Model Janice Dickinson sued Bill Cosby for defamation on Wednesday over denials made by the comedian’s representatives after she accused him last year of raping her in 1982.

Dickinson’s lawsuit seeks unspecified damages on defamation, false light and intentional infliction of emotional distress claims. The suit states Dickinson has been re-victimized and her reputation has suffered because of pointed denials by Cosby’s attorney that the comedian drugged and raped her in a Lake Tahoe, California, hotel room more than 30 years ago. The allegations were first made in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” after numerous other women accused Cosby of drugging them and inappropriate sexual conduct dating back several decades.

The lawsuit states Dickinson, 60, sought a retraction of the denials from Cosby, but the request was denied.

An email sent to Cosby’s attorney Martin Singer was not immediately returned. Singer called Dickinson’s rape allegations “false and outlandish” in a letter to The Associated Press last year.

The lawsuit details Dickinson’s allegations that Cosby raped her after giving her wine and a pill in the hotel room, and how she wanted to go public with her story in a 2002 autobiography but was prevented from doing so by the book’s publisher.

She did not report the incident to police in the early 1980s out of fear of retaliation by Cosby, her lawsuit states. The statute of limitations to criminally prosecute the actor-comedian has long since passed, as has the statute on civil claims directly related to the incident.

“This is Janice Dickinson’s chance for justice,” her attorney Lisa Bloom said Wednesday.

Three women who have accused Cosby of abuse have sued him for defamation in a Massachusetts federal court.

One of the women, Therese Serignese, said after a court hearing earlier this month that she wanted her reputation restored after Cosby’s camp branded her a liar.

Dickinson’s lawsuit is seeking a similar outcome.

“Cosby knows that he drugged and raped Ms. Dickinson,” the lawsuit states. “He knew that calling her rape disclosure a lie was a false statement.”

Two More Women Say They Were Drugged And Assaulted By Bill Cosby

Former “Cosby Show” actress Lili Bernard and writer Sammie Mayes on Friday came forward with sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby in a press conference in New York City. The women stood next to attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing many of Cosby’s alleged victims.

Allred says Cosby raped Bernard in New Jersey, a state that does not have a statute of limitations on rape. Cosby could conceivably be charged for the crime if a prosecutor finds sufficient evidence. This has not been possible in the cases of other women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault in recent years.

In her statement, Mayes said she met Cosby when she attended a New Orleans TV conference in the mid-’80s. She says she was just starting her writing career, so she eagerly accepted Cosby’s offer to do an interview with him.

Mayes says she asked a passerby to snap a photo of herself and Cosby (see above) as they headed to his hotel room together. Once there, she says, he mixed her a drink. When she woke up covered in drool, she initially thought she had fainted.

But she says she soon noticed her shirt was unbuttoned, and her bra pushed to the side. Her chain belt (which can be seen in the photo) had been loosely re-hooked.

“I realized I had just survived an encounter with a scheming madman who hid his demons behind an alluring persona,” she says. Out of fear for her safety, she says, she apologized to Cosby profusely and left the room quickly.

Bernard claims Cosby assaulted her in the early ’90s when she guest-starred as the zany and pregnant Mrs. Minifield on the final season of “The Cosby Show.” She says Cosby became a mentor and a father figure to her.

A photo of Bernard with Cosby. (Photo courtesy Lili Bernard)

“After he had won my complete trust and adoration he drugged me and raped me,” she said during the press conference.

Bernard says Cosby threatened and intimidated her after the assault, telling her, “As far as I’m concerned, Bernard, you’re dead,” which she interpreted as a death threat.

A few months later, Bernard was hospitalized for suicidal thoughts following the trauma. She said she still suffers nightmares and panic attacks.

“Women need to break out of their fear and report, so that predators can be held accountable,” Allred said. She urged any other women who were assaulted by Cosby in New Jersey to come forward in order to build a more substantial case against him.

Mayes’ and Bernard’s accusations coincide with the end of Cosby’s “Far From Finished” comedy tour. Protestors have planned to march and demonstrate outside Cosby’s final performance in Atlanta.

More than 40 women have accused Cosby of assaulting them. He has denied the allegations.

Eddie Murphy Apparently Declined Offer To Play Bill Cosby On ‘SNL 40’

Eddie Murphy’s first appearance on “Saturday Night Live” in 30 years was awkward and stilted, but according to Norm Macdonald, it could have been a whole lot different. Over the course of several tweets posted on Wednesday, Macdonald explained that there was, at one point, the idea to include Murphy in the “SNL 40” version of “Celebrity Jeopardy” as Bill Cosby.

As Macdonald wrote, he was disappointed “Celebrity Jeopardy” had become about celebrity impressions for the “SNL 40” special. But writer Steve Higgins thought having Murphy mimic Cosby would help tie it all together. Wrote Macdonald:

Macdonald relayed a bunch of other anecdotes about the week, including that Bill Murray almost didn’t make the show because of a golf tournament, before finishing out the Murphy story:

Without Murphy’s involvement, the sketch wound up happening with Kenan Thompson in the role of Cosby.

Murphy and Cosby memorably crossed paths before. During the 1987 concert film “Raw,” Murphy recalled how Cosby chastised him about using foul language in his stand-up routine.

Bill Maher Makes Yet Another Joke About Bill Cosby

Bill Maher made yet another joke referencing the recent sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby.

On Friday night’s episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the host mentioned Cosby during a segment about Sarah Palin. While discussing the Republican voices who criticized a recent Palin speech, Maher said, “Sean Hannity asked, ‘Did the teleprompter go down?’ The Washington Examiner questioned whether she should be included in future Republican events. And Bill Cosby said, ‘I wouldn’t drug her with your drink.'”

The host has made jokes about the allegations against Cosby on numerous occasions, including during his monologue for the Nov. 14 episode of “Real Time With Bill Maher.” While discussing Obama’s then-new initiatives, he said: “If you’re a Republican, you see Obama as Bill Cosby sexually assaulting the Constitution.”

Maher also joked about the comedian on the Nov. 21 episode of the show. “It was a bad week for Bill Cosby,” Maher said. “On the plus side, he has lots of pills lying around that can make him forget the whole thing.”

“Real Time with Bill Maher” airs Friday at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO.

Bill Cosby Met With Protests At Denver Show

Protesters descended on a Denver theater hosting a pair of Bill Cosby comedy performances on Saturday night, chanting “Turn back Cosby,” “Rape is not a joke,” in response to the numerous accusations of sexual assault by the embattled comedian.

Approximately 100 protesters chanted and brandished signs outside Buell Theater, which was hosting two performances by Cosby on Saturday night, the Associated Press reported. “Don’t drink the water,” some chanted, referencing the claims that Cosby drugged his alleged victims’ drinks. A brass band joined people holding signs critical of Cosby. Attendees of the performances were waved down with metal detectors by security guards. Before the 8 p.m. MT showing, police officers took positions near protesters outside the theater. No arrests were reported.

Despite the hectic setting, hundreds of ticket-holders turned out for the performances. Cosby was met with a standing ovation and he thanked the audience, Reuters reported.

Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred, who has been representing some of the women accusing Cosby, held a press conference before the shows with a Denver woman who said that Cosby sexually assaulted her in 1986, KUSA reported. Beth Ferrier, who was in her 20s at the time of the alleged incident, claimed Cosby drugged her coffee when he was visiting Denver, causing her to lose consciousness. She said she woke up “practically naked” in the back of her car. Ferrier had accused Cosby of assault before, in 2005 alleging that they had an affair in 1984, the Associated Press reported. Allred also led demonstration to the theater before the show.

The 77-year-old entertainer had performed the previous night in Pueblo to little protest and before a packed audience.

Cosby has been accused of sexually assaulting dozens of women over a span of several decades. For years, allegations against Cosby went with little notice. But over the past year, more and more women have come forward accusing the entertainer of sexual misconduct.

The accusations against Cosby escalated in the past week, as model Chloe Goins filed criminal charges against the comedian, alleging he drugged and sexually abused her at the Playboy Mansion in 2008. Goins would be the first woman accusing Cosby of sexual assault whose case may fall within the statute of limitations, according to her attorney. Prior attempts to charge Cosby have been rejected, and Cosby has maintained his innocence.

Numerous Cosby performances have been cancelled or postponed as the controversy around him has grown.

Several of the shows that have not been cancelled have been interrupted by protests inside the venue and out, audience members at a Jan. 9 show in Canada shouting, “We believe the women!” Prior to his Colorado performances, Cosby issued a statement saying that the North American comedy tour would continue despite the backlash against him.

In addition to cancelled performances, institutions and media networks have cut ties with Cosby. On Friday, NBC announced that it would not work with him ever again.

Judd Apatow Explains Why He Keeps Tweeting About Bill Cosby

In a new interview with Marc Maron for the WTF podcast, director Judd Apatow explained why he’s become one of Hollywood’s most visible critics of Bill Cosby following renewed sexual assault claims against the 77-year-old comic.

“One thing that I do know is I’m not comfortable with him running around the country doing stand-up like nothing’s happening,” Apatow said. “I guess, on some level, I feel like I can’t be a part of solving that many problems in the world — I do my best to get involved where I can be effective — but this is our neighborhood. […] I absolutely would like to see him in jail. That’s where people who commit sexual assaults go.”

Multiple women have accused Cosby of sexual assault — including three women who came forward last week — but the comedian has never been charged with a crime. “Over and over again, we have refuted these new unsubstantiated stories with documentary evidence, only to have a new uncorroborated story crop up out of the woodwork,” Cosby’s lawyer, Martin Singer, said in a statement last November. “When will it end? It is long past time for this media vilification of Mr. Cosby to stop.”

In the wake of the claims, NBC halted plans for a new series with Cosby, while Netflix postponed the release of a stand-up special, “Bill Cosby 77.” Cosby has remained on tour, however, including three shows in Canada last week. He was criticized after a show in London, Ontario, after telling a woman that she should “be careful about drinking around me.”

While Apatow cited Rosie O’Donnell as one of the few celebrities speaking out against Cosby — the interview was recorded before Tina Fey and Amy Poehler mocked Cosby and the allegations on national television at Sunday’s Golden Globes — he noted how a majority of Hollywood’s biggest names have remained silent. Apatow himself was even criticized by “Blackish” creator Kenya Barris for being “strangely obsessive” about Cosby on Twitter, but not other social issues.

“I spoke to him afterwards about that,” Apatow said about Barris. “I can understand why someone would say, ‘Why does Judd care about this?’ I don’t know, I have two daughters. I’m a comedian. I see him a little bit as our comedy dad. It’s like finding out your comedy dad is a really evil guy. You want to say, ‘Hey, does everybody care about this? That he’s doing that?’ And when the community is pretty silent, then I feel like, ‘Well, if no one is going to talk, then I’m going to talk.’ If everybody was talking about it, I probably wouldn’t have much to say about it. But I don’t want it to suddenly disappear and then he kind of just goes back out on the road and does his thing.”

Following the release of the Maron interview, Apatow returned to Twitter to once again post about Cosby:

Bill Cosby Show Disrupted By 30 Protesters Wearing “We Believe The Women” Shirts

Amid jarring accusations of sexual assault by over two dozen women, Bill Cosby saw his stand-up comedy show in Hamilton, Ontario Friday night (January 9) become ground zero for protest.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 30 women stood in unison, slipping off their coats to reveal T-shirts donning the words “We Believe the Women.” Ironically, Cosby tipped his hats to protesters who braved the cold temperatures outside of Hamilton Place theater to “say what they believed in.”

Some of the women blew whistles, while others reiterated the message scribed on their shirts in loud chants as police and security rushed to the scene. Cosby remained calm and can be heard saying, “Stop, stop, let them, let them, stop… let them have their say,” to authorities.

Fans spewed contrary thoughts, supporting the legendary comedian with chants of “We believe the men,” and “We love you Bill.”

The disruption took place during the last of Cosby’s three-show run in Canada. Per usual, cell phone cameras caught the hoopla. See footage below.

Bill Cosby Heckled At Show, Crowd Chants ‘We Believe The Women’

HAMILTON, Ontario (AP) — Hecklers stood up and chanted repeatedly “we believe the women” at Bill Cosby’s third and final performance of a Canadian tour Friday night.

The hecklers then marched out of the theater as the 77-year-old comedian asked his audience not to react. Cosby is facing growing sexual assault allegations from more than 15 women, with some claims dating back decades. He has denied the allegations through his lawyer and has never been charged.

The walk-out during Friday’s show came a day after a man at Cosby’s performance in London, Ontario, called the comedian “a rapist.”

It also took place just minutes after Cosby acknowledged the controversy that has followed him throughout his three-city Canadian tour.

“Whatever happens here tonight if there’s some sort of outburst, we just have to remain calm and things will be taken care of. It oughtn’t last that long,” he said.

“I want to thank all of you here tonight because you stayed with what you believed in.”

An announcement at the start of the show warned the audience there might be attempts to disrupt the show and urged ticket holders to remain calm until the matter “is resolved.”

Security at the venue was tight — bags were searched and police officers and private security guards were posted along the aisles of the theatre.

The three shows in Canada were Cosby’s first since November when he had a string of performances canceled over the accusations.

Bill Cosby Jokes About Sex Assault Allegations, Tells Woman “Be Careful Drinking Around Me”

A report from Bill Cosby’s show in London, Ontario tonight says that the embattled comedian made a joke about the sexual assault allegations against him. Cosby’s exact words to a woman in the audience were “be careful about drinking around me,” according to the National Post.

The drink joke happened in the middle of the show after a woman got up from her seat to get something to drink. Cosby played to a mostly receptive crowd who cheered at his quip, the National Post reports says.

However, two men were booted from the show after one of them heckled Cosby. The man screamed, “We don’t love you Bill” and “I’m being kicked out because you’re a rapist!” as he was removed.

Cosby has been accused of drugging more than two dozen women, many over 30 years ago. He has denied the allegations.

Co-star Phylicia Rashad recently came out in support of her former TV husband, pointing to a ploy to keep him off of television, and ruin his “legacy.”

Bill Cosby Reportedly Jokes About Sexual Assault Allegations During Stand-Up Performance

Bill Cosby, who has been accused of sexual assault by more than two dozen women, told a woman attending his comedy show in Canada on Thursday night that “you have to be careful about drinking around me,” according to multiple people in the room.

The woman was reportedly getting up from her front-row seat at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario, to get a drink when Cosby asked where she was going. She offered him a drink, according to National Post reporter Richard Warnica and others in attendance.

That’s when Cosby made the crack:

One of his accusers, Beverly Johnson, has claimed that Cosby placed a drug in her drink before allegedly assaulting her.

Depending on who did the tweeting, the reaction varied from groans to laughs to both gasps and applause.

The 77-year-old comic was occasionally interrupted by hecklers and protesters:

Few images have emerged as the arena was enforcing rules against recording the show. One reporter said he was ejected after trying to record video of a protester being led out by police.

Before the show, protesters braved freezing temperatures and snow outside the arena:

Afterward, Cosby released a statement through his publicist:

“Dear Fans: One outburst but over 2600 loyal, patient and courageous fans enjoyed the most wonderful medicine that exist for human-kind. Laughter. I thank you, the theatre staff (Budweiser Gardens), the event organizers and the London, ON Community for your continued honor and support. I’m Far From Finished.”

Cosby has not directly responded to any of the accusations.

The performance was the second of three concerts in Ontario, with the final event scheduled to be held Friday night in Hamilton. His next scheduled event after that is Jan. 17 in Denver.

Bill Cosby Returns To Stage For First Time Since November While Some Protest

KITCHENER, Ontario (AP) — Bill Cosby got a standing ovation from polite Canadian fans at the end of his first show since November, but protesters outside braved below-freezing weather to shame the ticket-holders as they streamed in.

Cosby’s show in Kitchener was the first of three performances planned in Canada’s Ontario province and come in the wake of sexual assault allegations from more than 15 women. The entertainer saw at least 10 performances get canceled on his North American tour. Wearing a sweater saying “hello friend,” Cosby climbed the stage decorated with two giant posters of him with Nelson Mandela. Some in the audience gave loud whoops but the reception was subdued compared to the standing ovation at his last stage performance in Florida.

“First of all thank you,” Cosby said to the audience before starting his routine with some cold weather jokes.

There were no disruptions during the performance and the crowd laughed throughout.

“I had a wonderful time,” Cosby said before leaving to a standing ovation.

Some ticket-holders had said they would boycott the performance, and the 2,000-seat venue was about two-thirds full. Several police officers and private security guards were posted throughout.

Outside the Centre in the Square, more than a dozen protesters came out in sub-freezing temperatures, carrying signs saying “rape is no joke.” Some shouted “you support rape” and “shame on you” at fans. A few protesters blocked the doors of the venue until being asked to leave by security.

But fans defended Cosby as they arrived.

“I’m skeptical of all the accusations,” said Gerald Reinink. “I always loved Cosby, good family humor. Why are 20 women coming out now when it’s 20, 30 years ago?”

Dan Emerson said he was glad there were no hecklers inside the venue.

“Innocent until proven guilty. I’m hope it’s not true and until I know otherwise I love him to death,” Emerson said.

Cosby, 77, is also scheduled to appear at the Budweiser Gardens in London on Thursday and at the Hamilton Place Theatre in Hamilton on Friday.

The comedian, who starred as Dr. Cliff Huxtable on “The Cosby Show” from 1984 to 1992, earning a reputation as “America’s Dad,” has never been charged in connection with any of the sexual assault allegations. A 2005 lawsuit by a Pennsylvania woman was settled before it went to trial, and he is being sued by a woman who claims he molested her in 1974 and by three other women who allege they were defamed by the comedian when his representatives denied some of the allegations.

Most of the women say he drugged them before he assaulted them.

Hours before Cosby took the stage, attorney Gloria Allred said three more women are accusing the comedian of drugging and sexually assaulting them in Las Vegas or Los Angeles between 1981 and 1996. Allred said at a news conference in Los Angeles that the accusations are too old for criminal charges or lawsuits.

Phylicia Rashad, who played Cliff Huxtable’s wife Claire on the Cosby Show, defended her co-star in an interview Wednesday with ABC World News Tonight. Rashad said she believed the allegations are part of a campaign to ruin Cosby’s legacy.

“He’s a genius. He is generous, he’s kind, he’s inclusive,” said Rashad, who first spoke to Roger Friedman earlier this week for his Showbiz911 blog. “This is not about the women. This is about something else. This is about the obliteration of legacy.”

The show in Kitchener was Cosby’s first since Nov. 21 in Melbourne, Florida, where he was greeted by an adoring audience.

Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic said he would attend an alternative event that was organized to raise awareness of sexual assault at the same time as Cosby’s show.

Aatif Baskanderi said he put his six tickets up on the online site Kijiji after he and his family decided they couldn’t go in light of the allegations. He said six tickets that cost $ 600 went for just $ 220. He said they tried to get a refund but couldn’t.

Baskanderi, whose family is of Pakistani origin, said his family had looked up to Cosby because his TV show portrayed professional minorities in a positive light.

“We grew up watching the “The Cosby show” as an illustration of civil rights,” he said. “It feels like no one is treating these women seriously. It kind of goes against what we connected to the “The Cosby show” as being representative of civil rights. It turned us off.”

Katherine McKee, a former actress and ex-girlfriend of Sammy Davis Jr., has alleged that she was also a victim of Bill Cosby, joining more than 20 women who have accused the once famed comedian of rape and attempted assault.

According to McKee, “It was a rape, but it seemed so strange to call it that. We think of rape as a stranger who attacks you in a parking lot,” she concluded. “I chalked it up to another powerful person in Hollywood who just felt he could take what he wanted from women.”

In this video from Dr. Phil airing on Friday, several of the women respond to Cosby’s daughter Evin’s statement questioning the validity of the women’s allegations that they were drugged.

One woman tells Dr. Phil, “A body knows when it’s raped. You’re not only raped physically, but you are raped emotionally. And something in your spirit is gone forever. And he is a serial rapist. We all have that same thing in common. We all feel that.”

Another adds in tears: “I think that the more I personally talk about this, hopefully it will dissipate. And I won’t have to carry the shame anymore. And I would just like to say, Bill and Camille Cosby, shame on you, shame on you shame, shame on you, shame on you!”

Tune in Friday for a Dr. Phil exclusive: Another woman comes forward, accusing Cosby of drugging her. Alleged Cosby Victim: ‘He’s Wicked With Power, Lust And Manipulation’ (VIDEO)

Chelan was a 17-year-old aspiring model when she says she met with Bill Cosby to discuss her modeling career. But she claims that after taking a few pictures, the man whom she turned to for career guidance drugged and sexually assaulted her.

“He had me go in the bathroom, wet my hair. I had long hair back then. And he gave me a blue pill with, like, this much Amaretto. I had a cold. He said it was an antihistamine. That’s what he told me. And I took it with a drink, not thinking,” she tells Dr. Phil in the video above. “Then he gave me a second shot, escorted me down the hallway. I remember lying down. He laid next to me, and he was pinching on my left breast, like repetitiously, really fast, and he was grunting. And, I felt something warm on my leg. After that, I passed out, and I woke up to him [clapping] and saying, ‘Daddy says wake up.’”

Chelan, who is joined by her attorney Gloria Allred, says she feels like “America’s dad” is manipulating everyone, including his wife. “It’s time to stop,” she says, wiping away tears. “He took away my innocence, and it’s changed my whole life. He’s wicked. He’s wicked with power. He’s wicked with lust. He’s wicked with manipulation.”

Another Woman Comes Forward With New Allegations In The Bill Cosby Scandal (VIDEO)

Another woman comes forward with new allegations about Bill Cosby, whom she claims met with her in a hotel room, gave her two drinks that made her dizzy, and then proceeded to stroke her hair with her body between his legs — she says that’s the last memory she has of the night in 1988 before blacking out.

In an exclusive interview with Dr. Phil, Lisa speaks out for the first time about her alleged experience as a 21-year-old aspiring model when she says Cosby offered to help her career. She joins more than 20 women who have come forward in the media claiming that the legendary actor drugged and/or sexually assaulted them years ago.

“I was very excited to go and see him. I was star struck. I felt invincible. I couldn’t believe that he wanted to see me,” Lisa tells Dr. Phil. “I got to the hotel, he was a gentlemen and he was respectful and kind. And he seemed very interested in me, and that made me feel very secure in seeing him again … My mother trusted Bill completely.”

But Lisa claims he ended up betraying that trust during a mentoring session in his hotel suite.

In the video above, Lisa says that Cosby gave her a drink, claiming it would relax her before reading lines for the comedian.

“He made a second drink and had me drink the second drink as well,” she recalls. “I noticed myself getting a little dizzy. Bill had sat down on the edge of the couch. He said, ‘Come over here and have a seat.’ And he had his legs open and when I sat down, I was sitting down in between his legs with my back to his crotch. And he started to stroke my hair back in a petting motion like this. The last thing I remember is just feeling the strokes on my head. After that, I don’t remember anything else.”

Dr. Phil asks, “Do you know if he molested you in some way, do you know, you don’t really know what did happen?”

“No,” responds Lisa, who says she is coming forward after Janice Dickinson’s allegations against Cosby made Lisa concerned for what may have happened to her.

Bill Cosby Will Face No Charges (In Los Angeles)

With over 20 allegations of sexual assault and rape currently being made against longtime comedian and actor Bill Cosby, there is at least one case that will not be pursued by authorities after Los Angeles prosecutors have decided not to charge Cosby in the alleged molestation of Judy Huth.

According to Huth, Cosby sexually assaulted her during a visit to the Playboy mansion where she says she was told to lie about her age, (she was 15 at the time.)

According to court documents the prosecution declined to pursue the case based on the fact that “…40 years have passed since the alleged incident, prosecution … is declined due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.”
