Black Soprano Family “Grams In The Water,” Dave East “Pain (East Mix)” & More | Daily Visuals 10.28.20

Source: Prince Williams / Getty
Benny The Butcher might’ve made a bigger name for himself rocking alongside Conway The Machine and Westside Gunn in their Griselda group, but his Black Soprano Family got some work that we ain’t know we needed.
In their visuals to “Grams In The Water,” the Black Soprano Family show how they go about their “9 to 5” as they hit the streets in lavish automobiles to move some work while rope and gagging their competition. They need their own HBO series, b.
Back in Harlem Dave East hops on a classic Tupac instrumental and sips on some potion while kicking it with his peoples in his clip to “Pain (East Mix).” Should’ve shot this on a basketball court to make that Above The Rim reference but it is what it is.
Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Goodie Mob, Akeem Ali, and more.

Source: WENN/Avalon / WENN
Dave East might’ve made his bones in New York City’s Harlem neighborhood, but lately the man with “East” in his name has been shooting a lot of visuals out on the West Coast. Huh?! We ain’t mad though. It’s al love.
Keeping that California love going strong in his latest visuals to “Envy,” Dave once again politics out on the Left Coast to get lit with the homies and hits up Sunset Blvd. to get some shopping done while taking flicks with fans.
Moneybagg Yo meanwhile links up with DaBaby and City Girls for his clip to “Said Sum Remix” where everyone turns up one time for the cameras and flaunts major ice. Must’ve been hella cold on that sound stage.

Dave East “I Got 5 On It (East Mix),” R.A. The Rugged Man “All Systems Go” & More | Daily Visuals 7.29.20
Jordan Peele’s Us might’ve revived some interest in The Luniz’s classic smash “I Got 5 On It,” but now Harlem’s own Dave East is taking the fan favorite west coast beat and adding some Beast Coast flavor to it.
For his new visuals to “I Got 5 On It (EASTMIX),” Dave heads out to the west to get in the groove and burns on some of that sticky icky that seems to basically grow on trees out on the Wesside. We would say “pass that” but the Rona, you know?
While on the topic of yester-decade, R.A. The Rugged Man is proving he’s still got the skills to pay the bills and in his visuals to “All Systems Go” travels through various points in time to lay down his lyrical onslaught.

Picking up where his last video left off, Dave East’s visual for the Jacquees assisted “Alone” finds him spreading the wealth from the jux he pulled and blessing everyone from his wifey to the old lady on the block with stacks of cash. Robbin’ Hood status, for real for real.

Kirna Zabete launched a pop-up shop in East Hampton in the summer of 2016. Buccini was hooked by Labor Day. “I said there is absolutely no way I’m closing this store,” she recalled. “Everyone is relaxed. You need something to wear that night. No retail anniversary would be complete without without an exclusive commemorating capsule collection. Kirna Zabete’s features vibrantly-printed summer frocks and swimsuits, sensually-blended candles and acrylic neon box signs, among other products. Tory Lanez really dodged a bullet last month when he avoided getting into an unnecessary beef with Royce Da 5’9 and now that he doesn’t have to live life looking over his shoulder he can get back to the music side of things.

Trae Tha Truth meanwhile probably dropped the longest song of the last few years as he linked up with, well, everyone from the east to the west in his 9-minute clip to “I’m On 3.0.”

Millennials have it good with their technological ways and all these days, but they’ll never know how truly glorious life was in the golden era of humanity: the 90’s.
Dave East and Rick Ross know this all too well as they link up for “Fresh Prince of Belaire” where the duo throw a 90’s theme party complete with loud ass clothing and a yellow taxi cab. We kinda feel like most people actually took an Uber to the video shoot but that’s neither here nor there.
Keeping with the 90’s, OG Hip-Hop group The Lox come through with a good ol’ cookout at the park where they’re surrounded by fam and friends for their clip to “I Don’t Care.” We wonder what they would’ve done had BBQ Becky called popo on them.

Dave East’s had a hard road on the riches to diamond rings but like Biggie said, real heads do real things and East is one of the realest in the game today.
In his clip to “Prosper” the Harlem rapper takes it back to his projects before rolling in a big boy toy to his mansion with his daughter in tow and a jacket with his baby girl’s likeness printed on it. Now that’s a proud papa.
Tyga meanwhile must be kicking himself over not being Kylie Jenner’s baby daddy and getting that bag but he’s seems content living the bachelor life while he throws a pool part in the Offset assisted clip to “Taste.”

Reframing Iran and the Middle East
According to popular opinion, the current situation in the Middle East is that the Iranian government, along with everyone it finances and arms in the region, will stop at nothing to conquer Israel and the rest of the world. Given that Iran has shown a recent willingness to develop secret nukes and not-so-secret missiles, common sense says we have to treat this version of reality as 100% accurate.
So how do you solve a problem in which Iran wants to destroy both the United States and Israel? There is no path to a win-win in that version of reality. We either stay in a state of permanent low-grade proxy war or else one side crushes the other. Two bad choices.
Does that situation sound familiar? Only a few months ago we thought our only options with North Korea were to accept them as a permanent nuclear threat or to have something like a nuclear war. Two bad choices.
What changed with North Korea might tell us a bit about how Iran and the Middle East could find a path to peace and prosperity.
Yes, yes, I know. Religion is a different situation from North Korea. Those crazy Iranian leaders can’t be reasoned with!
That’s exactly what we said about Kim Jong Un a year ago. It wasn’t true in his case. Perhaps Iran’s leadership is the real kind of crazy, and not the imaginary kind. How can we know?
I’ll get to that. First, some more context.
North Korea looked unsolvable until President Trump and the other players added variables to the mix. For example, President Trump went after individuals and companies violating sanctions, in addition to pressuring their home countries. That was new. And at some point the issue of reunification entered the conversation, which solves for a lot of the trust and verification issues because no one nukes their own country. President Trump also added uncertainty and fear to the mix in a way we’ve never seen. And on top of all that, the players involved with North Korea designed an off-ramp for Kim that makes him a huge winner if this plays out right.
Now take those concepts of deal-making to Iran. It looks like this:
- Add variables. Include in the negotiations the larger question Iran’s funding of Hamas and Hezbollah, recognition of Israel, and a Palestinian peace plan.
- Add military uncertainty (done).
- Put meat on the “carrot” part of the carrot-and-stick approach. (Trump already started that.)
- Make sure time is on your side. The Iranian leaders are old, and the economy is crumbling.
- Provide an off-ramp for Iran and the other Israel-haters in the region.
That last one is the hard one. Iran needs an off-ramp in which they get out of this jam without sacrificing their religious principles. That’s what this blog post is about.
Some more context. . .
In the early days of Islam, the fastest way to spread the religion was through violence and conquest. Muslims used the best tools of war they had, which at the time were swords and other stabby things.
Today, modern Islamic radicals have upgraded their tools of war to include automatic weapons, bombs, missiles, and that sort of thing. I’m no religious scholar, but evidently there is no Islamic prohibition against upgrading your weapons. That’s important.
In 2018, the best “weapon” for converting people to your way of thinking is the Internet and social media. Nukes didn’t help North Korea. Nukes are not helping Iran. Nukes are the wrong tool. Missiles are the wrong tools. Terror is the wrong tool. When was the last time any of those tools successfully spread Islam to a modern country with a standing army?
Iran has to know it has no chance of destroying Israel and also surviving. But they can’t say that directly, or create policy that recognizes that reality, because it would conflict with their desire to “wipe Israel off the map.” They have no off-ramp.
One way to play this is to invite Iran to finish this centuries-old religious battle on the Internet, where a battle of ideas belongs. If they wish to “wipe Israel off the map,” the only practical way to do that is to reduce violence in the region to the point where Israel has no issue with expanding their Muslim population. In the long, long run you end up “wiping Israel off the map” simply by making it more diverse. The name might stay the same, but a change in population will change the reality on the ground.
Summarizing all of this, the idea is to invite Iran to keep their anger and their ambitions intact while upgrading their weapons from physical weapons with little hope of success to the realm of persuasion-by-Internet. If Iran trusts their God, that should give them the result they want in the long run, while allowing them a safer and more prosperous future.
For new readers of this blog, I do realize my understanding of the Middle East is insufficient. But some principles of persuasion and deal-making still apply, and sometimes the “bad version” of an idea can stimulate thought and lead to something better. I provide this kind of thinking to increase the creative portfolio on this topic, as I did a year ago when I started writing that North Korea could be solved along the lines we see now.
I fund my Periscopes and podcasts via audience micro-donations on Patreon. I prefer this method over accepting advertisements or working for a “boss” somewhere because it keeps my voice independent. How North Korea Can Become Switzerland of the East
North Korea is playing nice with South Korea lately as they coordinate joint participation in the Olympics. But don’t get too excited about that niceness because it is a wedge strategy to separate South Korea from the United States in our unified position against North Korean nukes. Still, talking feels like a positive step compared to the alternatives.
The big issue, as we all know, is that North Korea wants nuclear weapons and most of the rest of the world, especially the United States, is unwilling to live with that. Hence the economic sanctions.
So what would a solution to this stalemate look like?
For starters, you need a solution in which both sides seem to have won something. The alternative involves squeezing their economy until we choke it out, and that’s the current default path. The problem with that approach is that it risks pushing them to a war of desperation, and while we wait for that horror, millions of innocents will starve. The United States will come out on top eventually, but not at a cost we can be happy about. So allow me to suggest a winning option for all involved. I call it the Switzerland of the East plan.
Kim Jong Un went to school in Switzerland. He knows it as a country that gets just about everything right and does it without a traditional army. Is Switzerland safe from attack? Yup. Safer than just about any other country. Their famed neutrality is like a psychological army that costs nothing. No one has a reason to attack them, and everyone knows they won’t cause trouble.
Now, who would you rather be — a European country paying for a standing army, always worried about attack — or a country that is enjoying its neutrality while skiing and enjoying hot chocolate? I would argue that the Switzerland model is more stable and more respectable than any competing model, including the United States. And that gives North Korea a winning end state. They can, if they choose to pivot, become Switzerland of the East.
If North Korea traded away it’s offensive nuclear capabilities in return for a UN designation declaring them a neutral country, they could have the protection of China, Russia, South Korea, and the United States. Collectively, we would become North Korea’s free military while they prosper. Under this plan, the United States would draw down its military assets in South Korea as well.
On top of such a plan, I have previously suggested creating a 100-year roadmap for Korean unification. The reason for such a long time frame is that it takes pressure off of the living. The next generation would need to close the deal, and that gives lots of time for confidence steps along the way. The Olympic coordination is a confidence step. Increasing travel is another. Then trade, communications, etc. No need to rush.
The key to this plan is that it gives North Korea not just a winning path, but the most winning path any leader ever took. It would lead to a Nobel Peace Prize for sure, shared by other leaders, I assume. And it would give North Korea a BETTER outcome than the one they are currently aiming for. At the moment, their greatest realistic ambition is to survive. Becoming Switzerland of the East is better than that. Way better. So much better it can hardly be compared. One thing we know about Kim Jong Un is that he likes sports and he likes winning. If he pivoted to become Switzerland of the East, he’d win harder than any leader ever won anything.
And the rest of the world would win too.
North Korea would still need a functioning economy that didn’t depend on smuggling arms and other illegal stuff. But the world would gladly help them rebuild. I can see North Korea as a sort of Las Vegas model, where laws about personal behavior are lax and the money flows.
The United States and North Korea are engaging in a psychological war right now. And for the first time in history it is a fair fight. President Trump understands the mental game like no president before him. And Kim Jong Un appears to have a similar toolset. Never have we had such a perfect setup for peace. There is a win here for both leaders, and a win of historic proportions.
North Korea surely holds no hope of conquering South Korea or destroying the United States with fire and malice, despite their colorful rhetoric. Two years ago it was popular to believe Kim Jong Un was nuts. Now we see him as rational and clever. He’ll recognize a better deal when he sees it. And becoming Switzerland of the East could be the best deal any country ever had.
It’s time for some winning all around.

With a sigh, she moans as he slowly plugs his pecker into her juicy, waiting hole. After pounding her from behind he explodes all over her face, chest and mouth.

DJ legend van Dyk unites Middle East with dance music
He is unlikely to be named a Middle East peace negotiator, but DJ superstar Paul van Dyk says that his music in a way has succeeded where politics has failed. "The Politics of Dancing 3," the German DJ's latest album which was released Monday, brings together artists from around the Middle East in a sign of how electronic music has increasingly become global. Van Dyk — often considered a pioneer of trance music, although he dislikes the categorization — brought both established and emerging DJs into the studio for the album, which is driven by fast-paced driving beats and catchy, accelerating melodies. "The collaborations I did, they very clearly show how uniting music is," van Dyk told AFP in New York, where ahead of the album's release he played a six-hour set at a Brooklyn warehouse.
