Tony Robbins Explains How to Beat Trump

If you have been following my Master Wizard Hypothesis series, you know I called Tony Robbins the best hypnotist in the world. His job is motivating people to improve their lives, and apparently he is amazing at it. His persuasion skills trace back to famous hypnotist Milton Erickson, same as mine. Robbins has added lots of layers to that learning, but his understanding of how people are influenced is similar to my world view, and probably quite different from yours.

Many of you have asked me how to design a Linguistic Kill Shot that would take out Trump. I keep saying I don’t know how, because his defenses are so solid. His Trump persona can shake off almost anything.

But what does Tony Robbins think? Business Insider asked Robbins how Trump’s opponents can beat him. Listen to Robbins’ answer and tell me who he expects to be our next president.

Convinced yet?

Oh, and I forgot to tell you I wrote a book that is relevant to the topic of our Moist Robot selves.

Update: If you want to boost your blog traffic, try posting about Taylor Swift, followed closely by a post on how to keep Trump out of the White House. Traffic just spiked hard.

Silento Explains How “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” Went Viral [Exclusive]

You haven’t been able stand two minutes near a computer this year without being subjected to the “Watch Me Nae Nae” song. The viral dance hit (officially titled “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” has been the subject of many YouTube and Vine renditions but only the creator, Silento has the magic ingredient behind the record. At seventeen-years-young, the ATL native already has a gold-selling single and a label deal with Capital Records with nothing but potential ahead.

Now history has shown us that these sort of break-out hits don’t exactly lead to substantial careers but Silento insists that he’s not an one-hit wonder when we grilled him about the notion at the 2015 Bet Awards.

“Before [“Watch Me Nae Nae”], I was making other music; rapping and singing. That’s just the attention track,” a confident Silento tells Hip-Hop Wired. As fate would have it, his claim to fame started by playing around on social media.

“At first…I was having fun at school; just singing out of my mouth. And I recorded for fifteen seconds and put it on my Instagram,” Silento recalled. After getting several hundred comments, his next move could be considered a no-brainer.

“Then from there, I capitalized and made it a song,” he admitted.

Watch our interview with Silento below and buy “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” on iTunes. The recently released official video can be seen below.

Travi$ Scott Explains Why He Embarrassed A Cameraman At Summer Jam [VIDEO]

This year’s HOT 97 Summer Jam had plenty of standout moments but Travi$ Scott ran away with the event’s most viral moment. No, it wasn’t for the debut of an incredible track from his upcoming album. It was because he literally put a cameraman on that Summer Jam scream, calling him “a nerd” and kicking him off stage after he had been filming him for most of the show.

While Kanye West’s ghostwriter the G.O.O.D. Music artist felt that “500 kids” rushing a baricade to see his performance should have gripped the Internet headlines, he broke down his side of the story with Power 106’s The Cruz Show.

“I don’t know if anyone noticed but that was like, the second-to-last song of my set,” Scott explained to the Los Angeles station. “I was already pissed about [Hot 97] not allowing me to have a screen on stage when I performed. I don’t get why radio shows allow artists to do shows without creative control, without any art direction at all. Instead of that, I get their press guys, their camera guys to be my backdrop of my show.”

In summary, he felt like it wasn’t fair to have a generalized media presence for his show. After the show, he tweeted an apology for his actions.

Complex also caught up with the videographer Jameer Pond, who insisted there was no bad blood between him and the rapper but he wasn’t a chump, either.

“I can laugh about it now because cooler heads prevailed, but I asked him if he wanted to fight—not so much in those words—but I asked him if he wanted to fight because again, going back to me being a man, a short man from Brooklyn, I’ve been in plenty of situations where jokes go a little too far,” Pond said of the embarrassing moment. “That’s how I felt at the time, but cooler heads prevailed, and I’m able to walk away, and now with things going viral I’m able to laugh about it.”

Maya Angelou Explains How She Once Made Tupac Shakur 'Cry' (VIDEO)

This morning as the world was awaken to the sad news on the sudden passing of Dr. Maya Angelou, countless fans and admires have reflected on the award-winning poet and activist’s profound impact on society through various mediums.

And perhaps one of Angelou’s many memorable moments took place during the filming of John Singleton’s 1993 drama, “Poetic Justice,” where she diffused an argument involving the film’s star, Tupac Shakur. As the author recalled during a 2013 interview with Canadian media personality George Stroumboulopoulos, her insightful history lesson with Shakur provoked the late rapper to “cry.”

“I didn’t know who he was… He was into a big rowel with another young man,” she recalled during the interview. “And so I said to him, ‘May I speak to you?’ And he was cursing. ‘I wouldn’t give a…’ I said, ‘I understand that, but let me speak to you.’… ‘If these mutha…,’ I said, ‘I got ya. However, let me speak to you.’ And finally I said, ‘When was the last time anyone told you how important you are? Did you know our people stood on auction blocks, were bought and sold so that you could stay alive today.’”

“And finally he heard me and stopped talking, and started to weep. And I put my arms around him, and I walked him back into the arena. And he cried.” In addition to a selection of Maya Angelou’s poems featured in the Academy Award-nominated film, she also portrayed the role of Aunt June.

Check out more of Maya Angelou’s recollection of Tupac in the clip above.

Christy Turlington Burns Returns As Face Of Calvin Klein, Explains How Awkward Modeling Is

The words “Christy Turlington” and “Calvin Klein” have gone together beautifully since her first Eternity shoot back in 1995. But if you thought the news that they were redistributing the original ad was exciting, we’ve got something even better for you. Not only has she returned as the face of the iconic fragrance, but this time, she brought her handsome husband along, too.

christy and ed

If at all possible, the photos released Friday are even better than the ones from back in the day. Perhaps that’s because, as the supermodel told Women’s Wear Daily, she didn’t have to fake it when it came to being intimate with her co-star:

Usually you pretend to be intimate on these types of campaigns, and when they go to change a lens or the roll of film is complete, you’re like, “So, how about those Mets?” It’s just awkward.

Well, if she ever did feel awkward in past campaigns, we certainly couldn’t tell. However, there is something really beautiful about seeing a couple pose together, especially for a brand that Turlington Burns has been connected to for so long. What do you think of the new ad?

Carlos Santana Explains Why He's Crazy And Happy (VIDEO)

Carlos Santana may be crazy, but it fills his heart with happiness.

The guitar legend released his first Latin music album, “Corazón,” on Tuesday, just three days after his live concert documentary and special debuted on HBO Latino. In an interview with The Huffington Post, Santana gave some advice about the power that lies within every person’s core and asked for Latinos’ wisest minds to come together for the good of the planet.

On Saturday, HBO Latino presented the “Santana: De Corazón” special that gave fans an intimate look into the man behind the guitar. The 30-minute program featured interviews with fellow musicians and close friends.
Carlos sat down with HuffPost during a screening for the special and spoke about every individual’s inner light, his invisible voices and what Latinos need to be heard.

Carlos, was does “de corazón” (from the heart) mean to you?

It’s the center of a person, in the heart you can find your individuality, your unique being. It’s important that people know that in this world in which millions and millions are born, there is only one you. In the heart you can find your own voice, your own digital fingerprints. For example, with Santana, thank God, with one note [on the guitar] you know who I am. And every person has that but you lose it because you undervalue it, because you start concentrating on other things…it’s like changing your gold for fake coins. If we could teach kids something in school it should be to know how to treasure their own light, their voice and their own identity because you don’t lose it but you undervalue it. What God gives you you can never lose but it your mind eclipses it, you will undervalue it.

You’ve had a long career in the industry, how have you managed to stay in touch with your identity?

My mother, she taught something very profound that stayed with me. She would tell me: “You are who you are because of God and you have what you have because of your fans, never forget that. You should give thanks and show gratitude to both things everyday.”

You’re always talking about the power of the invisible voices, what does that mean?

We all have a support system, an internal and external system that guides you… many people should know that those who are crazy, like me, are more successful because we hear and listen to those voices. I’d rather listen to the internal voices of my light than to psychiatrists, analysts and therapists. I don’t go to them because I am happy, people who visit those professionals — and it’s difficult — it’s because they are not happy. The day that you are happy you don’t need to spend your money on therapists, analysts or psychiatrists. They can’t make you happy only you can be happy by choosing clarity and crystallizing your choices. Be clearer with how you aim your energy and where you put it. The universe es very alive and very attentive to your intentions and it’s going to give them to you, so be careful with what you’re thinking!

You’re a Latino pioneer that has supported other Latinos throughout his career. Today, it seems like our community is rising but we can’t seem to attain what we need, like immigration reform for example. Why do you think that is?

The time is ripe… we can, as Latinos, invite platforms like Telemundo, Univision and HBO Latino to have a weekly or monthly program and invite the wisest minds like Dolores Huertas, Edward J. Olmos, Emilio, Gloria [Estefan]… all of my brothers and sisters of all colors to articulate how we can enter the present with a light that can transform the planet so that there is consistent peace. So that there is respect towards women, who are so abused in Latin America, Africa and many other places. I invite Telemundo, Univision and HBO to have a program where we can present a language of light so that we can teach men from a young age that they have to be elegant with their divinity…a man shouldn’t never get tired of opening the door for a woman…the more I give to my sisters, my wife, my daughters — the more of a man I am.”
