Giuseppe Zanotti Partners With Rita Ora on an Exclusive Footwear Capsule

LONDON — Giuseppe Zanotti is at it again, with plans to release yet another celebrity collaboration, this time with Rita Ora.
The footwear designer, who has worked in the past with musicians including Jennifer Lopez and Zayn Malik, asked Ora for pictures of her favorite shoes and then let his imagination take flight.
“I love working with artists because they’re very efficient,” he said, adding that Ora loves fashion and he loves music. “In both our lines of profession we need to research everything, everywhere and every day. She’s very multitasking, and I admire that.”
As a result of their close collaboration, Zanotti said he was able to work in the ‘old school’ way,” meaning that he made the initial creations by hand.
“I used to buy shoes at vintage markets, cut them up and Scotch tape parts together. It’s nice after 20 years to go back to the past to work in a very artisanal way. I was painting the shoes and changing lines with scissors,” he added during an interview on the shoot with Ora.

Mr Porter Adds Footwear, Accessories to In-house Label

HAPPY FEET: Mr Porter is expanding its in-house label, Mr P, with a new range of footwear and accessories.
The label, now in its fifth season, has so far focused its offer on ready-to-wear capsules, featuring a mix of basics and trend-led pieces that compliment the retailer’s seasonal buys. New collections are released on the site five times a year.
The latest collection, dropping online at the beginning of September, will introduce 15 footwear styles to the mix, as well as a range of socks and scarves.
There will be classic styles such as loafers and white leather sneakers that will go on to make Mr P’s ‘Essentials’ range, available online throughout the year, as well as a more trend-led, winter collection featuring lace-up boots, a pair of suede desert boots and pair of shearling-lined walking boots.

Anna Sui, Bed/Stu Collaborate on Footwear, Handbags for Spring

SUI STEPS UP: Anna Sui has partnered with Bed|Stü footwear to produce a seven-piece, limited-edition collection that will include sandals, boots and handbags. The collection will be unveiled at Sui’s show tonight at Skylight Clarkson Sq.
The collection retails from $ 325 to $ 1,195 and will be available for purchase on, as well as the Bed|Stü flagship in Malibu and the Anna Sui store in New York, beginning in February. Additional locations will be revealed in the coming months.

The collection, inspired by the late Sixties, embodies a new bohemian aesthetic with rustic elements and hand-tooled leathers that are vegetable tanned and free from harmful metals such as chrome and formaldehydes.

Suno to Introduce Footwear During New York Fashion Week

Suno is the latest ready-to-wear brand to get bit by the accessories bug.
On Wednesday, designers Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty will make their first foray into footwear at the runway show for their spring collection. “We wanted to create a city shoe that felt inspired yet functional — playful, but still easy,” Beatty said. “Like our clothes, we wanted the shoes to carry you through the day — stylishly and comfortably. Not too dainty, not too pointy, not too fierce, but somehow making just the right statement.” The new category comes after eleven seasons of collaborations with Nicholas Kirkwood for the brand’s runway show.
The collection will consist of five styles, including heels, flats and printed sneakers. Each style — all done in leather — will be shown in multiple colorways, with the sneakers done in two new Suno prints and three colors. The Italian-produced shoes will later be available at, with other retailers to be confirmed, with price points ranging from $ 395 to $ 695.

Adidas Introduces Three LGBT-Friendly Designs On Its Iconic Footwear In Honor Of Pride Month

Sportswear giant Adidas is following in the footsteps of Nike and Levi’s in putting a rainbow-hued twist on some of its most iconic designs in time for LGBT Pride Month.

Three Adidas staples — the Stan Smith, the Adilette Slide and the Superstar — are getting the limited edition makeover as part of the “Pride Pack.” Each of the designs draws inspiration from the LGBT rainbow flag, “a symbol of equality and inclusiveness that signifies the diversity of the LGBT community,” according to press materials.

Meanwhile, a portion of the sales will be donated to Portland’s New Avenues for Youth, an Oregon-based advocacy group focused on homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) adolescents and teens.
