2018 was a rather quiet year for Bronx rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie what with Tekashi 6ix9ine and Cardi B taking all the straight outta New York headlines.
Looking to get back in the spotlight in 2019 the BX rapper dropped his latest project Hoodie SZN at the end of December and today comes through with the clip to “4 Min Convo” where A Boogie goes back and forth between being animated and live-action.
Janelle Monae meanwhile continues to paint the town red with her girls while dipping on drones in the visuals to the Zoe Kravitz assisted “Screwed.”

A$ AP Rocky might be one of the few artists left in the game whose music videos grab your attention and hold on to it until the screen goes black.
His latest clip to “Tony Tone” continues that trend as we see A$ AP Rocky in different situations and places such as standing in front of an all white council with his crew to rolling deep through the ave while on a bike and flossing a neck chock full of ice.
On another side of town Janelle Monae gets her girl power on and rolls to a soiree with her girls in a drop top whip in the clip to “Crazy, Classic, Life.”

Janelle Monae’s trailer for her new album and film will get a boost when it airs in theaters ahead of “Black Panther” on Friday.
Paris Fashion Week Spring 2016 was filled with major moments, including the scenic airport-themed Chanel show to the mini “Game of Thrones” reunion with Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa. But we believe Janelle Monae’s many, many hairstyles stole the spotlight.
The “Yoga” singer was spotted out and about wearing different hairdos to accentuate what she described to Vogue as her “growing, evolving” style. Having worked with Monae since her debut studio album “The ArchAndroid” in 2010, celebrity hairstylist Caprice Green told The Huffington Post that the two always “start out with some sort of game plan” when discussing hairstyle for Fashion Week. “However, it doesn’t always go as planned,” said Green. “The clothes from the designers sort of determined the look each day.”
From her signature pompadour topped with a cherry-red Kristina Dragomir heart cap to a beautiful beehive adorned with Chanel accessories, Monae and her hairstylist have pushed the boundaries on what’s considered to be “natural hair.”
Scroll down to see Monae’s hairstyles from Paris Fashion Week and to learn what Green considered when creating each look.

Janelle Monae visited the TODAY plaza Friday to mystify and rock viewers’ worlds.
Janelle Monae and the Wondaland camp are using their platform to do much more than drop tunes that rock a party. Today, the collective released “Talmbout,” a derivative of the ongoing discussion about racial injustice and police brutality in America.
The record serves as further testament to the #BlackLivesMatter movement, as Janelle, Deep Cotton, St. Beauty, Jidenna, Roman GianArthur, and George 2.0 mention the names of Sean Bell, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Freddie Gray, Sandra Bland and more.
Per Wondaland Statement:
This song is a vessel. It carries the unbearable anguish of millions,” said Wondaland in a statement. “We recorded it to channel the pain, fear, and trauma caused by the ongoing slaughter of our brothers and sisters. We recorded it to challenge the indifference, disregard, and negligence of all who remain quiet about this issue. Silence is our enemy. Sound is our weapon. They say a question lives forever until it gets the answer it deserves… Won’t you say their names?

Janelle Monae rocked NBC’s “Today” Friday morning in New York, but when the singer started to talk about police brutality, she was abruptly cut off.
Monae appeared to promote a new Wondaland Records album, “The Eephus” and performed the anti-police brutality song “Hell You Talmbout.”
At the song’ end, Monàe told the crowd:
“Yes Lord! God bless America! God bless all the lost lives to police brutality. We want white America to know that we stand tall today. We want black America to know we stand tall today. We will not be silenced…”
And, then he was silenced. The “Today” reporters started to talk over the Atlanta-based singer. Check it out below.

It was a resort season takeover in New York City this past week, with images of the new collections streaming through our feed from all angles. Aside from Gucci’s impressive presentation in the Chelsea, which saw the likes of Dakota Johnson in the front row, Carolina Herrera showed that she has one of the best vantage points in the city, and the dress that Lily Aldridge posted from the designer’s headquarters in midtown was as impressive as the starlit cityscape overhead. Fashion folk descended on Moscow for the opening of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, or GMOC as it will no doubt be known, among them Michelle Elie, who managed to take the art selfie phenomenon to new heights. On a global tour of a different kind was French musician and Parisienne fashion savante Lou Doillon; she proved that true rock ’n’ roll style is all about traveling chic and light.
