Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers 2 just dropped a few days ago so you know that Wiz was going to go hard in support of his latest baby.
Linking up with Problem for the clip to “Gin & Drugs,” Wiz sets up in front of a green screen which allows all kinds of crazy CGI action without ever leaving the soundstage.
Speaking of crazy CGI, Macklemore follows suit for his trippy visuals to the King Draino assisted clip to “How To Play The Flute” (pause) where he goes from a deity on a heavenly throne to Bob Ross with the paint brush.
Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Brockhampton, Valee, and more.

Stevie Wonder is officially rolling with Twitter. Today (April 4), the truly iconic musician and activist sent out his first message, a homage to Martin Luther King, Jr.
Not so coincidentally the message arrives on the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights leader’s assassination.
“On April 4th, 1968 at 7:05 p.m. central time, Dr. King’s life was cut tragically short. 50 years later a need for his dream to be fulfilled is far greater than ever.
Share your dream & post your own #DreamStillLives video. Spread love…spread hope,” read his message, accompanied by a video.
With Wonder’s “Heaven Help Us All” as the musical backdrop, Barack and Michelle Obama, Common, Billy Crystal, Serena Williams, Robert Deniro and many more stars share their dreams.
Please, no sliding into Stevie Wonder’s DM’s.

"One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them. One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them." — J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings — In the conclusion of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings, as armies mass for a final battle that will decide the fate of the world — and powerful, ancient forces of Light and Dark compete to determine the outcome — one member of the Fellowship of the Ring is revealed as the noble heir to the throne of the Kings of Men. Yet, the sole hope for triumph over evil lies with a brave hobbit, Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood – "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Everything is Illuminated"), who, accompanied only by his loyal friend Sam and the hiddeous, wretched Gollum, ventures deep into the very dark heart of Mordor on his seemingly impossible quest to destroy the Ring of Power. It’s another Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and along with the day off from work, for some, we’re getting the usual pullquotes and nods to the iconic Civil Rights revolutionary. While sometimes the praise rings hollow—see Donald Trump’s recent signing with a litany of step’n fetch its—President Barack Obama‘s homage to MLK rang sincere.
“Dr. King was 26 when the Montgomery bus boycott began. He started small, rallying others who believed their efforts mattered, pressing on through challenges and doubts to change our world for the better. A permanent inspiration for the rest of us to keep pushing towards justice,” tweeted the last legitimate President of the United States.
Bet he didn’t have to Google Dr. King to create that message.

Stephen King's Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) is a lonely, withdrawn high-school student who is the object of ridicule because of her drabness and because of the influence of her mother (Piper Laurie)–a religious zealot who has kept her in the dark about all things feminine. When Carrie experiences her first period in the gym shower, she is teased and humiliated. Threatened with expulsion from the upcoming prom, the girls' ringleader (Amy Irving) devises a plan: Amy's boyfriend (William Katt) will pretend to court Carrie and then Carrie will be elected Prom Queen. “The Dark Tower” feels like a throwback — a trim, competently executed “B” popcorn movie, adapted from Stephen King’s books with ample action but also lots of clunky exposition. That’s not a great prescription for a would-be summer blockbuster, but more an endorsement to watch when it hits cable.

Model, actress, and designer Isis King may have been born biologically male, but ever since childhood she knew she was woman. Establishing a transgender identity does not come easy though, and at 23, Isis was homeless, living at a New York City LGBT shelter. After finding work as a background model for an America’s Next Top Model photo shoot, host Tyra Banks took an interest in her, and asked Isis be a part of the show’s next season. Within months, Isis was in the national spotlight as the first transgender contestant on Top Model, and she has used her platform to follow her dreams ever since – expanding her modeling and acting career, designing her own clothing line, and serving as an activist for transgender people everywhere.
Is the attention on Caitlyn Jenner good or bad from the transgender community?
“Definitely” says Isis. “Any time you can bring more awareness to the struggle and reality of so many people, it’s helpful.” Isis emphasizes the importance of showing more trans stories in media, hoping that it will lend a “normality” to the trans experience.
However, she acknowledges that there is still work to be done. The murder rate of trans people of color has gone up, and many appearances of transgender people in the media still feature rampant misgendering – that is, labelling people by their birth gender instead of how they actually identify. This process “invalidates the way audiences view people who have transitioned,” and is hurtful and damaging, especially when the misgendered person is a victim in the news. Caitlyn has certainly helped the visibility, but Isis stresses the need for more “normal” transgender people in the media to really improve mainstream awareness and acceptance.

"Love's not love when it is mingled with regards that stand aloof from the entire point." King Lear is old and weary, and has reached the age where it is time to divide his kingdom among his heirs: three daughters named Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia. In a final act of vanity, he tells his daughters that he will determine their inheritance according to how much they profess to love him. Cordelia refuses, and her father disowns her and throws her out of the kingdom. Goneril and Regan inherit the kingdom, but the moment they gain power, they begin to plot against their aging father. One of the greatest tragedies ever written, King Lear is a powerful, heartbreaking, bleak, and beautiful play.
The tale begins when the "yankee," a skilled mechanic in a 19th century New England arms factory, is struck on the head during a quarrel, and awakens to find himself being taken as a prisoner to the Camelot of 528 A. D. With his 19th century know-how, the "yankee" sets out to modernize the Kingdom, but is opposed by a jealous court magician. Clever enough, but buried beneath Twain's humor is a serious social satire.
Writer, blogger and police brutality activist Shaun King has been battling allegations that he is actually a white man posing as a Black person, not unlike the recent Rachel Dozealscandal. While King maintains, rather ambiguously, that he is actually biracial, CNN‘s Don Lemon says that a “family member” tells him that King is actually white.
As we shared yesterday, the fervor around King’s racial makeup was sparked by an article from conservative news network Brietbart News alleging White was duping his fellow Black Lives Matter activists.
While King and others denied the allegations, news networks and major publications picked up the story hoping to get to the bottom of the matter. King’s visibility as an active voice in speaking out against police injustice has already landed him under critical lights from like-minded individuals and this latest matter has added fuel to the fire.
CNN held one of its usual roundtable discussions via CNN Tonight on all things King Wednesday evening, which continued to harp in on the fact that there isn’t enough evidence to back King’s biracial claim.
One panelist said that while it’s possible Brietbart and conservative pundits like Glenn Beck are seeking to destroy King’s name, he could easily stop all the chatter by producing a birth certificate or some kind of document stating his race.
Many who side with King, including rap artist Deacon The Villian from the rap group CunninLynguists, have posted various accounts of their knowledge of King’s background and have hit back at the race passing accusation. Yet there is a continued assault of King’s character taking place from not only the Right but other activists of color who have said they were suspicious of the activist in times past.
Lemon revealed that he and King have been texting one another where he told the host that this attack on him is actually about “derailing Black Lives Matter and the movement against police brutality” while adding “the reports are all lies” and that he will speak to the matter soon.
King did say in a series of tweets that he did lie about his race in order to receive a scholarship from Oprah Winfrey, which has since been deleted. King never clarified what he meant by that statement.
Watch CNN’s report below on Shaun King and his racial identity as it relates to his activist work below.
A 23-year-old terrible rapper has been outed as an equally terrible human being after authorities say he recruited a minor for his Worldstar-ready music videos.
Columbus, Ohio police raided the home of Eric Chavis (also known by his amateur rap moniker Thot King) earlier today, August 20, and charged him with two counts of distribution of child pornography, 10TV reports. The Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force interviewed a 16-year who was involved in an April 2015 prostitution sting and she was allegedly promised an opportunity to be the Thot King’s trap queen.
According to federal sources, she arrived at Chavis’ apartment located on 2996 Barclay Square in Columbus and was given alcohol and marijuana to loosen up. The teen then engaged in the explicit videos that were subsequently distributed on social media, porn site and were even available on DVD for sale. Investigators say the victim appeared both nude and partially nude in the videos.
When the girl allegedly asked Thot King to take the XXX material out of circulation, he demanded sexual favors in exchange for his troubles. [Editor’s Note: WTF?!?]
Across town, the home of Chavis’ ex-girlfriend, Casey Casto, was also raided but she told the news that she feels Thot King’s separate seedy content (drugs, guns, etc.) was the motivation for that pillage. Castro’s father tells 10TV that their upstairs bedroom has been used as a porn shoot sight in the past. Chavis isn’t shy about the basis of his rap caricature, either. Music videos titled “Getting Head From a Thot”, “Lesbian World” and “Throw That Booty Back” have been polluting YouTube over the past year.
If convicted on the charges, the Thot King will have a prison throne for up to 20 years.
Take a look at some of the images of Chavis in action in the gallery below. Needless to say, most of these pictures are not workplace friendly.

Yesterday I wrote about the sad seven members of the high school debate club who were relegated to a nearly empty auditorium for the a 5 PM performance.
After the kids went to bed, it was Donald Trump’s night in the big room. A friend of mine accurately described Trump as “negatively compelling.” He was exactly where he wanted to be, the center of the stage and the center of attention. And he stole the show. Let’s be honest– can anyone remember much of what anyone else said?
The bravado-filled boy gave his audience their money’s worth with his “I’ve got to be me” and “Take no prisoners” messages. And he delivered the highest debate ratings in history– 24 million viewers.
Even I can admire Trump’s brashness and bluntness, and his performing without the benefit of political consultants. It isn’t how he says it that is troubling to me– it’s what he says.
While they can battle Trump, no GOP presidential candidate has dared to challenge his supporters. They want to recruit them, not alienate them. Only Senator John McCain (R-AZ) has called Trump minions “crazies,” a luxury reserved for someone not running for president. And that comment will come back to haunt McCain in his bid for a sixth senate term in 2016.
I’m not running for anything, so I am at liberty to take a closer look at Trump’s supporters. They believe what they want and ignore all else– see no evil, hear no evil, and say no evil.
I have a faulty denial system, and prefer reality in politics and illusions in magic tricks. I am willing to proclaim that the Emperor has no clothes. Let’s do some fact checking and separate truth from fiction. But please don’t take my word for it; play the videos or click on the red links below to verify the facts for yourself.
Trump is a loyal Republican. Facts: He refuses to commit to supporting any other GOP nominee or to acknowledge that he won’t run as an independent– even though that would likely cost the GOP the White House. If he’s Republican, he has a funny way of showing it.
Trump is a conservative. Facts: He has been pro-choice, and supported Hillary, higher taxes, and universal health coverage.
Trump alleged that John McCain was not a war hero. Facts: Trump said that the only reason McCain is called a war hero is because he was captured, and added “I like people who weren’t captured.” Trump was never captured. He never served. Trump sought and received multiple student draft deferments and a convenient medical deferment. Click here to compare what Trump reportedly was doing when McCain was a POW. Trump opposes foreign made goods, including those made in China. Facts: His brand of shirts and ties were made in China and in Bangladesh.
Trump battles against “illegal” immigration. Facts: The Washington Post reports undocumented workers on a recent Trump construction site.
Trump called Mexicans coming across the border criminals and rapists adding “And some, I assume, are good people. I assume.” Facts: Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch, one of the most conservative people in America, has tweeted “Mexican immigrants, as with all immigrants, have much lower crime rate than native born. EG El Paso as one of the safest cities. Trump wrong.”
Trump says his vast wealth totals $ 10 billion dollars. Facts: Forbes says his claims of wealth are half-vast, $ 4 billion.
Trump claims he’s a good person and businessman. Facts: The documentary film “Trump the Movie” make the case that “It ain’t necessarily so.” You can watch here for free. It might be worth investing 1:22 hours in viewing it before voting for Trump as the leader of the free world. I’m just saying . . .

A Las Vegas coroner told Rolling Stone that 89-year-old simply died from natural causes on May 14 with Alzheimer’s disease being the “primary contributing factor.”
Shortly after the well-traveled musician’s death, daughters Karen Williams and Patty King alleged that manager LaVerne Torey and his longtime assistant Myron Johnson kept their father ill in order to expedite his passing. Just like the previous claims, lawyer Brent Bryson slammed them for their outlandish lies.
“It is unfortunate that Mr. King’s body had to be subjected to a needless autopsy based upon fictional assertions,” Bryson said in a statement. “As expected, the autopsy report confirms that Mr. King died as a result of natural causes, and not as the result of poisoning or other wrongful conduct by Louise LaVerne Toney, Myron Johnson or anyone else. Both Ms. Toney and Mr. Johnson are happy that the spurious and disparaging allegations made by certain of Mr. King’s children against them, have been dispelled. Perhaps we can now focus on the body of musical work Mr. King left the world and stop the ‘witch hunt’ so that Mr. King may now finally rest in peace.”
Ms. King and Ms. Williams will have to live with their measly $ 3,000 inheritance settlements, unless they want to whittle it down on conducting an independent autopsy.
