Though us older Hip-Hop heads appreciate all the things that this digital era is providing us there are still many days that we long for the era when life was much simpler in the streets.

Jim Jones obviously feels this way in expresses as much in his Maino and Drama assisted visual to “My Era” where the three take to the block to talk about life in the hood when beepers kept payphones flourishing. Y’all millennials don’t know about that kind of struggle.

Birdman Beats 1 Interview

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard anything new from Maino but over the weekend the Brooklyn rapper showed a pulse when he came through with some new work.

Looking to piss off PETA in his visual for “Jermaine (The Intro), Maino poses in the cold streets of New York draped in a mink jacket with the tail on the collar. In all fairness to him it could’ve been a chinchilla or even a fox, we don’t know. We ain’t up on furs like that.

Birdman meanwhile turns up at a private estate party where he and Jacquees enjoy the company of scantly clad women for the clip to “Presidential.”

Back in New York Maino hits up Dave East and Jaque for his clip to “Bag Talk” where the three post up at a currency exchange spot where they trade in foreign paper for big face Benny’s. Love & Hip Hop paying Jaque with overseas paper?

Wale “The Bloom,” Maino “Love My Ni**as,” Slim Thug “O.G. Talk” & More | Daily Visuals 9.7.15

It’s starting to seem as if the Maybach Music family motto is “no days off” as its artists continue to drop new visuals on a weekly basis.

Today Wale releases the clip to his bubbly radio cut, “The Bloom” off his last LP, The Album About Nothing. Matching the tone of the music, the sunny visuals finds Wale and Stokley Williams enjoying life on a private beach resort where the water is clear and the champagne flows like your favorite deceased rapper.

Maino meanwhile holds court in the middle of the projects where the only clear water you’ll find is bottled up in the bodega.

Accompanied by Vado and Uncle Murda, the self-proclaimed King of Brooklyn puts down the crown for a second and professes his love for his posse while the people of the PJ’s show out in support of the three rappers. I have to admit, seeing Maino without the gold crown has become just as weird as seeing T-Pain without the Top Hats.

Check out the rest of today’s releases including some clips you might’ve missed over the weekend including work from Slim Thug, Kidd Kidd, and more.
