He's expected back in court this May.
Mystikal is out on bail while he fights sexual assault charges. However, the New Orleans rapper isn’t taking a plea deal and instead hopes to have the charges dismissed.
The rapper’s lawyer, Joel Pearce, tells TMZ … he recently met with Caddo Parish, Louisiana prosecutors and they offered what seems like a sweet deal. The aggravated rape charge, which carries a life sentence, would be reduced to simple third-degree rape … with a 25-year max sentence. He says they’d also drop the second-degree kidnapping charge.
In exchange, Mystikal would have to plead guilty to felony simple rape … which Pearce says he’s unwilling to do. Offer rejected.
We’re told Mystikal and his defense team believe the alleged victim is lying and has major credibility issues, so they’re ready to play this out in court.
The trial’s scheduled to start in May, but Pearce says plea negotiations are still ongoing.
Mystikal only posted his bond a month ago after being locked up since turning himself in back in August 2017.
These aren’t the circumstances Mystikal expected to find himself in. He previously served six years after pleading guilty to sexual battery and extortion and was released in January 2010.

“Independent” rapper Webbie will be getting N-O-J-A-I-L-T-I-M-E for allegedly putting hands on his then-girlfriend because he copped a plea deal.
TMZ exclusively reports Webbie agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of simple battery on Thursday (August 2nd) and was given a slap on the wrist in the form of one-year probation. Webbie was initially charged with multiple felonies ranging from 2nd-degree battery, false imprisonment and domestic abuse by strangulation back in July of 2017 when he reportedly assaulted his now ex-girlfriend in a hotel room. To back up her claims she even shared photos of her injuries she suffered at the hands of Webbie.
So yeah he definitely dodged a big bullet because he was looking at some serious jail time.
According to the East Baton Rouge court clerk … Webbie agreed to plead guilty Thursday to a misdemeanor charge of simple battery and was sentenced to one year of probation.
He’ll have to keep his nose clean during that time, complete 20 hours of community service and anger management classes. The court also ordered him to pay $ 5k in restitution to his ex-GF and $ 500 in court fees.
Webbie and ex-girlfriend had a well documented toxic relationship. He accused his then-girlfriend of wrecking his home and stealing jewelry and called the cops on her. We just hope Webbie takes this moment and realizes he was given an opportunity most don’t get. Jail is no place you want to spend any time in for something you could have easily avoided.

Sinead O’Connor emotionally pleaded for help from her family and opened up about her mental illness in a rambling Facebook video posted from a New Jersey motel she had been living in.
“Three weeks after Alexis met David on Facebook — and only once in person — Alexis left in the middle of the night to go live with him,” says Gina about her 18-year-old daughter and her daughter’s 19-year-old boyfriend. “I believe that David kidnapped Alexis,” she says, explaining that David is a survivalist whom she fears has “brainwashed” her daughter. “David has told Alexis her whole entire life was built on lies … David has made Alexis believe that she was in a dangerous situation when she was living at home. He’s trying to turn Alexis against her whole entire family,” claims Gina.
But Alexis says she chose to leave on her own, and that David is her protector, not her captor. “He’s my soulmate,” says the teen about her boyfriend. “My mom claims that David is the controlling one, but really, she’s the controlling one. My mom controls my phone, my computer, my iPod, where I went, who I would like to hang out with. If she didn’t like them, I was not allowed to hang out with them. I’m old enough to make my own decisions.”
Growing emotional, Alexis says, “My mom has made me feel like I have to choose between family and David, and I don’t think that’s fair.”
Turning to Dr. Phil for help, Gina says through tears, “I miss her so much. I love her, and I just want to make sure she’s safe and not brought down by him.”
In the video above, Gina and Alexis see each other for the first time in weeks. Watch as Gina implores her daughter: “Alexis, you’re putting yourself in a situation that’s not good. You’re not doing anything with your life. You have so many opportunities in life and you’re not doing anything with them. You’re with someone who’s dangerous. He’s dangerous. Emotionally, he’s very dangerous. I want to see the best for you, and that is why I brought you here. I want you to go to school. I want you to get a driver’s license. You don’t have a job, Honey … That’s why Dad and I are here. We are here to take care of you.”

Jared Fogle is expected to plead guilty to child pornography charges tomorrow, and Subway has officially dumped him. The reported plea comes over a month after authorities removed evidence from his home in what was believed to be a separate a child porn case involving the former executive director of his non-profit organization.
Subway released a statement today announcing their split from Fogle. “Subway and Jared Fogle have mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation,” the chain said in a statement. “Jared continues to cooperate with authorities and he expects no actions to be forthcoming…Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take.”
According to another report, an anonymous Florida journalist helped trigger the investigation. The woman contacted the FBI after hearing Fogle make numerous inappropriate comments about middle school girls, and wore a wire to help bust him.

Mark Ruffalo made a personal plea to Elizabeth Warren to consider running for president in 2016 during the premiere episode of “The HuffPost Show” on Friday.
“I would like to ask you, on behalf of many, many, many … Americans, to reconsider running for president of the United States. There’s not many people, politically speaking, that are willing to take on the battles that you are specifically, whether it’s … student debt to the insidious and predatory practices of the banks,” the Oscar-nominated actor said in a taped message for the senator.
While Warren didn’t change her position on starting up a 2016 ticket, she did explain to hosts Roy Sekoff and Marc Lamont Hill how she plans to improve policies from her seat in the Senate, and it’s clear the A Fighting Chance author doesn’t want to hesitate for a second.
“We can’t wait. This is about building a future,” Warren said.
