Miu Miu Revamps Web Site

NEW NEW: Miu Miu has unveiled its revamped web site, featuring a new, sleek layout and a more dynamic, streamlined navigation system.
The digital platform combines editorial content, campaign images and short videos with a restyled e-commerce offering the brand’s whole range of ready-to-wear collections, footwear, bags, eyewear and fragrances.
In addition, a Miu Miu Club section enables users to dig deeper into the brand’s archives, tracing it back up to the first, spring 1993 collection. In addition to images of the fashion shows, the section also features special projects and all the Miu Miu Women’s Tales short movies, flanked by extra behind-the-scenes content and interviews with the directors and protagonists.

Unveiled in 17 European countries first, the web site is currently available in five languages: Italian, English, French, German and Spanish. In 2019, the new miumiu.com will consequentially roll out across Asia, North America and the Middle East.

Dsquared2 Revamps the Brand’s First Fragrance and Introduces a Women’s Version  

TIM-BER!: “We’re not killing trees anymore,” said Dean Caten of Dsquared2 at the exclusive launch of the brand’s revamped Wood fragrance, which no longer has wooden packaging.
The men’s and women’s fragrances — brown for the boys and pink for the girls — now takes the shape of a hefty beer bottle.
The 30-ml. bottle sells for 44 pounds and the 100-ml. bottle sells for 75 pounds. The fragrance launches at Harvey Nichols on Monday and the Caten brothers expressed the importance of launching exclusively with the department store.
“It’s important to give an exclusive to somebody because it makes it more important as opposed to coming out everywhere. It’s more intimate this way,” said Dean.
In May, Dsquared2 inked a licensing agreement with Euroitalia for the production and distribution of the brand’s fragrances, and Wood is the first perfume to be relaunched under this new partnership.
The men’s fragrance has been reworked while the women’s is a completely new scent created by perfumer Marie Salamagne. Both incorporate similar base notes such as white wood and ambrox.
“We’ve scrapped all of our other perfumes and since Wood was our first fragrance and our bestseller, we’re relaunching with this,” said Dan.

British Designer Claire Barrows Hosts Pop-up, Revamps Website

SECRET STORE: To coincide with the launch of her revamped Web site, Claire Barrow will host a “secret” pop-up store, offering limited-edition designs beginning Aug. 7. Shoppers can sign up on clairebarrow.com to receive a code to gain access to shop at the pop-up.
The online shopping area will offer 24 pieces including silk scarves, ruffle tops, tote bags, shirts, sew-on patches and leather coats and jackets. Designed exclusively for the store, the pieces have been hand-painted by Barrow. In addition, she’s selling a series of leather iPhone cases designed together with The Case Factory. The price range is 20 pounds, or $ 31, for a painted patch to 1,500 pounds, or $ 2,340, for a lambskin leather swing coat.
“It’s a pre-collection, but very limited edition, each thing having been hand-painted, dyed, etc. by myself,” Barrow told WWD. “Like all my collections, it has a story behind it. The idea of hand-painting things to sell online inspired the collection because it got me thinking about art you can wear and e-commerce; it’s a bit like being in the [museum] gift shop rather than the gallery.
