Jasper Conran to Buy Yves Saint Laurent’s Moroccan Villa

NEW PAVILION: The Fondation Jardin Majorelle has agreed to sell Villa Mabrouka in Tangier, Morocco, “the House of Luck” owned by the late Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé, to British designer Jasper Conran.
In line with the instructions of Bergé, who cofounded the Fondation Jardin Majorelle with Saint Laurent, the proceeds of the sale will benefit the nonprofit organization, which oversees the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech, Morocco, and the adjoining Jardin Majorelle and its Berber Museum, the foundation said on Thursday.
“A resident of Marrakech, the acclaimed British designer Mr. Conran will undoubtedly continue the rich heritage of the property and contribute to the vibrant and cosmopolitan revival of Tangier currently underway,” Madison Cox, president of the Fondation Jardin Majorelle, said in a statement.
Saint Laurent and Bergé purchased the villa in the Nineties and asked Jacques Grange to decorate the interior.
“The theme was an eccentric Fifties Englishman who had come to live in Tangier. Yves wanted chintz and one color per room: a blue room, a yellow and so on. It was like decorating a house for characters out of a play by Tennessee Williams,” Grange said in “Les Paradis Secrets d’Yves Saint Laurent et de Pierre

Catherine Deneuve’s Saint Laurent Wardrobe Raises $1M at Auction

MILLION-DOLLAR WARDROBE: The sale of Catherine Deneuve’s Yves Saint Laurent outfits raised $ 1 million during an auction at Christie’s Paris on Thursday, with every single lot snapped up.
Interest in the sale was so strong that 90 percent of the 129 lots sold for multiple times above their pre-sale estimate, while the pre-sale exhibition held during Paris Couture Week drew 4,500 visitors, the auction house said. Online bidding for a further 140 lots remains open until Jan. 30 at midnight.
“This week, with highlights including the view and the auction itself, has been a new experience for me and has exceeded my expectations in many ways,” Deneuve said in a statement.
“I would like to thank Christie’s for the beautiful catalogue and the fact they paid tribute to YSL’s talent by presenting his creations in such an exquisite way at the preview, attended by thousands of people. I sincerely hope that the new owners will enjoy these pieces of couture as much as I did,” she added.
The top lot was a haute couture evening ensemble consisting of a chiffon blouse, scarf and taffeta skirt from the Russian collection that Saint Laurent designed for fall 1977. It sold for $ 59,745, 10 times the top

Yves Saint Laurent Illustrations for Children’s Book Up for Auction

THE DEVIL IN PARIS: Parisian auction house Cornette de Saint Cyr is holding an auction on Dec. 19 of 100 drawings by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent.
The pictures, drawn by Saint Laurent between 1961 and 1962, were destined to illustrate a children’s book commissioned by Parisian publisher Jacques Damase, but the project never came through. This is the first time the drawings are being unveiled to the public.
Named “Le Diable à Paris” (“The Devil in Paris”), the book, written by Damase, features a dapper-looking devil, drawn by Saint Laurent, wearing a red suit and little black horns on the cover illustration.
Other drawings see the devil dress up to visit a duchess, sport a leopard-printed suit and even a bull’s head in an illustration titled “Le Diable Espagnol” (“The Spanish Devil”), where he is pictured alongside a flamenco dancer.
Drawn in ink, pastel or graphite in mostly red and black hues, the title character is faced with an array of magical creatures, such as a giraffe in the shape of the Eiffel Tower or a human body with a dragon’s head.
A statement from the auction house explained Damase met Saint Laurent through accessories designer Roger Vivier. At the time of the project, the

The sale tonight from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Rebecca Taylor store in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District will donate 50 percent of the proceeds to “Should She Run,” a charity working to put women in public office (the goal is 250,000 women in public office by 2030).
“Empowering women is something I’m extremely passionate about, so I’m very happy we’re able to host this event to support ‘She Should Run,’” Taylor said. “I think it’s a very important time to support women running for office, and I really admire Christene as a friend and fellow women entrepreneur for starting ‘Vintage for a Cause.’”
“Stacy and I share a deep mutual affection for vintage, so it was a given I wanted to do these pop-up sales with her, as well as other women, designers and shop-owners who share our affinity for beautiful pieces from the past,” Barberich said.

Nobuyoshi Araki and Saint Laurent Wrap Up Colette Era

PARIS — It’s a Saint Laurent-Nobuyoshi Araki send-off for Colette.
Sixteen images of a scantily clad Anja Rubik by the Japanese artist will serve as the store’s final display of artwork as part of the storied French label’s store takeover, running from Dec. 2 through to Colette’s closure on Dec. 20.
The 16-piece series is titled “Saint Laurent Shiki-in” or “lust for color” and is meant to bring together the world of Saint Laurent with Araki’s work, according to the brand, which lauded the photographer as “a key figure in modern world culture.”
Saint Laurent designer Anthony Vaccarello worked with the Japanese artist for the series that mixes photos with painting techniques.
Vaccarello last year chose Rubik for his advertising campaign at the French label, which, at the time, described the Polish model as projecting the image of a “a free, hedonist and elusive woman.”
In the final Colette exhibit, black-and-white photographs show various images of Rubik. In one, she is lying flat on her back, eyes closed and legs folded; naked except for an open jacket. Swathes of blue and purple are punctuated with splashes of pink.
Another shows her standing naked in high heels, her arms restrained by straps wrapped around her chest, matching

EXCLUSIVE – Urban Legends: Part 1 Philly’s Jimmy Da Saint

Urban Legends is an AllHipHop.com original written series based on miraculous individual turnarounds in the urban entertainment world. Our features take a look at influential members in the Hip-Hop music, movie and television communities and we examine how they were able to find a better path despite their rough upbringing in the streets of urban America.
Below in our premiere story, we speak with Jimmy Da Saint about how he was able to overcome a life of crime to become one of the best-selling Black book authors in our era creating the Black Scarface series and others.   Having been incarcerated with the original Rick Ross during his federal prison stint, Jimmy developed an array of skills and published over 30 novels while he was incarcerated in prison. Read more and find out how Jimmy Da Saint put it all together from his own label that included members of State Property (Oschino and Sparks) to his highly successful booking and entertainment agency that he still runs today along with the Philly Hip-Hop Awards. A kid from West-Philly did that, and now he’s a book writer and a successful entrepreneur.

Let us highlight those that have persevered and turned over a new leaf after dealing with personal struggles. People that were caught up in the worlds of drugs and violent crimes but found a better way. They chose to do things the right way and these individuals are being rewarded. Enjoy, hope you learn something.

AllHipHop: If you could talk to me about your upbringing, where you’re from in Philly, how you were raised.  Just kind of want to know a little bit about that.

Jimmy Da Saint: Well I was raised in West Philadelphia, and I grew up – I wouldn’t say poor, see I didn’t know I was poor because my mom made sure I had everything.  So even though I grew up in the projects in West Philadelphia, I always had Christmas and Thanksgiving and Easter and all that kind of stuff.  My mom made sure that me and my brothers and sisters had that.  When I was younger, I was really into sports heavy,  I was a really good baseball player.  I played baseball in high school, junior high school and all that kind of stuff, and then I don’t know what happened.  When I got out of high school I just wanted fast money, I was just influenced by neighborhood drug dealers and guys who were getting fast money. That influenced me and I eventually wound up getting in that same profession – selling drugs and just being the whole street thing.

AllHipHop: So when you were selling drugs, were you selling crack?  Cocaine?  Were you selling weed?  What were you doing?

Jimmy Da Saint: Both.  Crack and cocaine, and I sold a little weed here and there.  I was really wasn’t too big on the weed, but I had it from time to time – I could get it.  I would get it to my workers that I would sell it– I didn’t actually sell it, myself.  I was in a position I had other people selling it for me.

AllHipHop: Right.  OK, go on.
Jimmy Da Saint:  That was it.  And I just got heavy into the whole drug thing and wound up, you know –  while I was in the whole drug business, I was also in the music business.  I was always involved with music because I used to be a rapper,
that happened to just be involved with drugs.  So I’d be selling drugs to other drug dealers that sold drugs for me and I’d be in the studio talkin sh*t and having fun living the life.

I’d be in the studio the majority of the day because I had a studio I owned– me and a friend of mine, they were making music and that’s why I wound up starting a group called ICH, Inner City Hustlers.  Two of the group members of ICH Oschino & Sparks, who I managed,  I wound up getting them a deal– a situation wi Rock-a-fella by Jay-Z.  He wound up signing two of my artists that were in my group.  I also managed a producer named Black Key at the time, and he wound up signing with Ruff Ryders.  He wound up doing a DMX album that was the Great Depression.

AllHipHop: Yeah, I know that.

Jimmy Da Saint: Yeah, I’ve known Black Key and worked with E-Ness since he was 13 –  he used to be Taz, like the Tasmanian Devil.  When I went to prison and came home from prison, he was E-Ness, so that was something new.  It’s like when I knew Cassidy, he was Lil’ B.  I came home from prison, he’s Cassidy.

AllHipHop: Yeah, that’s crazy.

Jimmy Da Saint: Yeah, so I was involved heavily in the music back then, mostly because I wound up getting a record deal, but I continued to sell drugs and I wound up getting in bad.  I was in my barbershop, and a FBI informant came in to buy a kilo of cocaine off me.  I sold him a kilo of cocaine, and I wound up getting indited.  A few days later, the FBI came and kicked my door in.  The person I sold the cocaine to was an informant and I didn’t know that he was working for the FBI.

AllHipHop: That’s crazy.  You pretty much answered my second question  “ICH,”  so you covered that but can you elaborate a bit more on “ICH”

Jimmy Da Saint:  Yeah ICH was pretty big and it’s crazy because in ’97 I was actually shot in an attempted kidnapping. I was in a wheelchair for a while, I was on a dialysis machine because my kidneys blew out, but I survived that and I wound up going right back into the whole drug thing again and I wound up getting indited and getting ten years in a federal prison.

But ICH was always a part of the mix.  ICH was a very, very, very popular group in Philadelphia.  When I came home from federal prison in 2010  I started ICH all over again, a new ICH with newer and younger members but I just stopped ICH, maybe, eight months ago.  I just stopped it and started focusing on one or two artists and not the whole group thing, eight artists at a time.

So I made them popular all over again.  I got XXL featured, if you go to Vibe.com or whatever, you’ll see it pops up. ‘Cause everybody was talking about them, we did a show with Wu-Tang and everybody– DMX, JadaKiss and we were the opening acts for all of them.  So when I came home it was easy for me to get five young, good city rappers, put them all together and I did the ICH all over again.  People remember the original ICH because of Oschino and Sparks.  They know Oschino and Sparks is from the group ICH and Jay-Z signed them and made a group called State Property and put those two members in State Property.

AllHipHop: Yeah.  So with these books and stuff like that, what was the spark that just, kind of made you pick up the pen one day and that kept you at it, you know what I mean?  What drove you?

Jimmy Da Saint:  You know, I just wanted to do something.  I remember the first day I went to prison– I actually started writing the first day I went to prison, day one.  Like, it didn’t take me a month, two months to get in there.  I remember walking in the yard and I was like, “Damn, I got ten years,” and I just wanted to write about it.  It’s just like I wanted to write and I remember they gave us some pens and pads to do something in our spare time– I began to write and I started writing and writing and then I was like, alright, start focusing on my first a book I wrote, called ‘Decisions,’ but I never put it out.

The first book I ever wrote, I let a few people read it and they liked it, then I started continuing to write, write, write and next thing you know I had four or five novels written and I got them typed and everything and I sent it out to a friend of mine, Vicky Stringer, who owns the largest Black independent book company in the world.  I sent it out to her because I was reading her book, and on the inside of her book, she said, “Write me.”

I wrote her and told her I was a book author and she wrote me back and said, “Send me the book.”  I sent it to her, she sent me a number back and said, “Call me as soon as possible.”  I called her, she said, “You got you a two-book deal.  This book is amazing.  I love it and I sent it to my publisher and they want to publish your book.”

And it happened just like that.  I was like, “Really?”  And they gave me advance money, and it was just a book deal– just like a record deal, but it was a book deal.  I was like, “Wow.”  I was just so inspired, I continued to keep writing and writing and writing and I wound up writing thirty novels while I was incarcerated.  I ghost-wrote a few books for other people and I got seventeen novels out right now, and a few are best-sellers.

I was like, “OK, I think I found my niche.”  I got a story to tell, I got shot, I grew up in the projects, I’m from the streets of Philly, I was a real drug dealer, I got indited by the FBI and the DEA, you now what I’m saying?  All my friends– half of my friends been murdered, I was in the rap game. I was with Jay-Z, with Dame Das.  This is my life– this has been my life.  Drugs and rap music has always been my life, so I could talk about this all day.

AllHipHop:  That’s crazy man.  I guess what’s amazing is that, you know, people don’t usually equate author, or novelist with drug dealer, street-shooting rapper – most people in society don’t associate the things at all.  They wouldn’t think that somebody who did that, could do what you did with these books.  What do you say to those people and why do you think you were able to do that?

Jimmy Da Saint:   It’s my life its real. Rick Ross was one of my closest friends in prison.  I walked up to him and I said, “You’re known for being a drug dealer,” and I said, “I can help change that.”  And he laughed and said, “Well what can you do?”  I said to him, “I’ll write a book.  I’m a book author– put best-selling book author next to your name, and we can get rid of that.”

He liked that and he said, “Wow.”  And I did it.  And I wound up writing a number one-selling book, Black Scarface.  That’s why it was co-written by Rick Ross.  I wanted to do something.  I wanted to show that I’m really one of y’all, like, really.  Not a fake one of y’all, I’m really one of y’all.  I’m from the streets.  No father, single mother, projects, crack cocaine, weed cocaine, murders, prison, FBI, rap music– I am that person all the way.  I don’t have to tell you about nobody else life, I can tell you about my life.

AllHipHop: What did you and Rick Ross talk about

Jimmy Da Saint: You know, Rick Ross told me something very important.  I’ll never forget it, he was like,, “Jim, you need to learn the art of networking.”  He said, “You so talented because you could write raps, you could write songs, you could write books.”

I was the commissioner of the basketball league in jail, I gave all those little concerts and poetry shows in jail. I was influential in prison and he was like, “But because you are so talented, these talents are going to go to your head and stuff because everybody depends on you,” He said, “You learn to be more humble and learn how to network more,” he said, “You’ll be a very powerful individual if you can do that.”

He’s the one who told me, “Just like this person over here might not be nobody, and just like this person over here is Jay-Z’s assistant or whatever, whatever, whatever, don’t break your neck for that assistant because everybody is the same and everybody is important.”  He used to tell me this all the time.  And I took that, I came home with that mentality– everyone counts.  Everybody.  Everyone, like this interview with you, or like an interview with Rock Lord Radio, underground radio with three viewers everyday, that’s important to me also.  If I can get my point across to those three individuals.

AllHipHop: Can you talk to me about your new movie with Rick Ross?

My new movie project is called FACE, based off my bestselling novel Black Scarface. It was co written by the real Rick Ross and Rick will be a producer on it. My partners on the project are Vance & Khan from Ruffhouse Records and William Alexander from Crevice Ent. in L.A. so I’m really looking forward to the possibilities on this one.

AllHipHop: Lastly, can you discuss your booking agency in Philly?

My company is called DaSaint Ent.  I manage artists, write books, produce movies, music and concerts with the local Live Nation. I have a back to school show I did with Mone’ Davis and several up and coming talents. I have the Philly Hip Hop awards and several other concerts I work on throughout the year. I’m staying busy!

Honey, I Shrunk the Saint Laurent! 10 Adorably Chic Kids Looks Inspired by Fall’s Top Runway Trends

Photo: Corbis

Traditionally, mommy-and-me dressing has existed somewhere on the sidelines of fashion, in a pink-hued world of sugar and spice, where everything is frilly and matchy-matchy. Which is sweet and all, but where’s the fun? And variety? Not every little girl wants to dress like a princess each morning, as North West, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, and Suri Cruise can attest.

Dolce & Gabbana, whose Fall collection celebrated motherhood, isn’t alone in giving the throwback approach to dressing la familia a rethink. “It’s never too early to play with fashion,” says Assistant Market Editor Anny Choi, who selected looks from the Fall collections to inspire a guide to the season which has the major trends—from the neo-boho look at Burberry Prorsum to Loewe’s shinny metallics—covered for kids. Far from being copycat looks, these clothes are maximally chic while being totally age-appropriate, too. “The trick,” Choi explains, “is putting all the pieces together to make a statement.

Caleres, Saint Louis Fashion Fund Name Emerging Designer Finalists

On Monday night, a bit of the Midwest came to New York City for the announcement of the Caleres Emerging Designer Award finalists, presented by the Saint Louis Fashion Fund. Designers from six brands were recognized in contention for the award, a $ 25,000 grant to be chosen on Nov. 4, during Saint Louis Fashion Week: Julie Haus and Jason Alkire of Haus Alkire, Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta of Eckhaus Latta, Azede Jean-Pierre, Katharine Polk of Houghton, Brandon Sun, and Jordana Warmflash of Novis.
The announcement came in the form of a cocktail party, held at the Caleres (formerly known as Brown Shoe Company) and Sam Edelman showroom in Midtown Manhattan, and hosted by Diane Sullivan, chief executive officer, president and chairman of Caleres, along with Sam and Libby Edelman, Tomoko Ogura, Roopal Patel, Lisa Perry and Gary Wassner. Before presenting the finalists, Elizabeth Tucker, creator of Saint Louis Fashion Week, gave a brief introduction about the importance of the program. “The startup scene is booming in the city of Saint Louis, so I would love to recognize Diane Sullivan for her vision and realizing that a huge part of this equation is attracting, retaining and developing designers as a part of

Reese Witherspoon Reads Harper Lee: How the Actress Became the New Patron Saint of Literature

On Friday morning, The Guardian and The Wall Street Journal both published the first chapter of Harper Lee’s highly anticipated novel, Go Set a Watchman. Published 55 years after her beloved classic, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lee’s Go Set a Watchman has created a buzz rarely seen in the literary world. (Right now, more than two million copies sit in heavily guarded storage spaces and are being kept in tightly shrink-wrapped boxes until the book’s official release on July 14.) Today’s sneak peek of the first chapter adds to that breathless anticipation and also gives the world a first chance to listen to Reese Witherspoons narration of the upcoming book.

It makes perfect sense that Witherspoon would record the audio version of Go Set a Watchman. The Hollywood actress not only possesses a voice with that signature Southern twang—which fits with the novel’s Alabama setting—but Witherspoon has also quickly become one of the greatest champions of literature today.

A few years ago, after establishing her production company Pacific Standard with partner Bruna Papandrea, Witherspoon’s first big project was bringing Cheryl Strayed’s memoir Wild to the screen. Back in 2012, she was given an advance copy of the bestselling adventure/self-help book. She quickly realized the book’s big-screen potential and optioned the film rights three days later. Witherspoon also starred in Wild and the movie went on to collect multiple Golden Globe and Oscar nominations. Its success also further solidified Strayed’s literary dominance and pushed Wild to the top of the bestseller lists once again. That same year, Witherspoon also chose to produce the blockbuster Gone Girl, a full year before Gillian Flynn’s thriller was even published.

As it stands, Pacific Standard has nine upcoming projects on its slate, with more than half of the titles based on books by female authors. There’s The Engagements by J. Courtney Sullivan, which chronicles five relationships from five different eras, all loosely connected by a diamond engagement ring. There’s also Big Little Lies, a miniseries based on the suspense book by Liane Moriarty, about three mothers who become entangled in a murder mystery. The miniseries, which sees Witherspoon teaming up with Nicole Kidman, is one of their buzziest projects—some are already calling Big Little Lies the next True Detective—and Netflix and HBO already had a bidding war over distribution rights. (The latter ultimately walked away the victor.) Jessica Knoll’s latest book, Luckiest Girl Alive, about a New York City magazine editor with a shady past also just got optioned by Pacific Standard, as did S.J. Watson’s Second Life, which examines the dark, underground world of Internet sex and alter ego online personas.

But don’t think it’s just tales of love or mystery that capture Witherspoon’s attention. In March, it was reported she’s also set to produce, and possibly star in, the adaptation of Ashley’s War by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, which tells the true story of a group of elite female troops stationed in Afghanistan.

As if bringing these stories to the big screen weren’t enough, Witherspoon constantly promotes the many books on her nightstand on her Instagram account. Her posts, which have included snaps of Lena Dunhams Not That Kind of Girl, Malala Yousafzais memoir, and many others, have become the equivalent of an Oprahs Book Club stamp for the social media generation.

Through her production company, Witherspoon has not only become the new patron of women’s literature, but she’s also helped remedy the lack of three-dimensional roles for actresses in Hollywood. Witherspoon has mentioned in multiple interviews that Pacific Standard was born out of a frustration with the death of film projects for women over 30.Who knows, maybe she’ll even snatch up the rights for Lee’s latest; after all, in Go Set a Watchman, our little Scout is all grown up.

Saint Laurent Men’s RTW Spring 2016

Hedi Slimane has been photographing the California beach scene for years — long before he decamped permanently from Paris to Los Angeles. He seemed to have a hoot with his “Surf Sounds” collection for spring, dressing a torrent of guys and gals for midnight shenanigans — even showering the audience with YSL-shaped confetti during the finale.

You could sense the designer’s light mood when your eyes adjusted to the pitch-black show venue and you noticed the usual industrial bleachers had been covered in kitschy palm-trees-at-sunset wallpaper. Similar motifs turned up on fancy satin jackets and mohair granny cardigans, which the young models wore with the same nonchalance as black leather jackets, hands thrust deep into their pockets as they barreled down the runway in white high-tops.

There was plenty of Kurt Cobain in the men’s looks: The shaggy hairstyles; the white plastic sunglasses, the plaid shirts; the denim with blown-out knees. And there were plenty of literal thrift-shop styles, a charge frequently leveled at Slimane since his debut grunge collection for fall 2013.

Yet as a styling and merchandising effort, it was hard to fault — except that it was hardly Coachella summery, what with all the knit caps, velvet scarves and fringed

How One British Designer Went from Central Saint Martins to the Met in 3 Short Years

Craig Green Street Style

London-based Craig Green, categorically speaking, is a menswear designer. He’s a very good menswear designer, having won, for example, the top prize at Central Saint Martins when he graduated in 2012; likewise with sponsorship from Fashion East and Topman soon thereafter and accolades from LVMH in 2014. In fact, he’s so good, that a not insignificant number of female clients have waived patience and retail gender adherence and gone straight to the men’s rails at places like Dover Street Market to purchase his clothes. FKA twigs recently wore Craig Green pants and a kimono jacket during performances at Coachella and in Los Angeles, respectively. (“I actually wanted to make her something—she’s so tiny, I didn’t think samples would fit,” the designer laughs.) Blogger Susie Lau owns Green’s quilted, baggy, daresay shapeless trousers, closured down the outer leg with hockey-lace knotting, at once utilitarian and vaguely meditative in tandem (more on this shortly). And more than a few influential editors were seen wearing Green’s pieces at the fall shows in February. Call it a snowball effect of supreme sartorial benefit, a growing pansexual appeal made all the more real and recognized, as it turns out, by the inclusion of a selection of Green’s spring designs in this summer’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art—clearly, he’s so universally good that the powers that be have determined his work can sit alongside such greats as Jean Paul Gaultier, Tom Ford, and Alexander McQueen. And you can’t get much better than that.

“It’s amazing,” says Green from his studio in East London’s Hackney. “It’s kind of a weird . . . surreal moment, to have my work at the Met.” He then adds, with the sort of self-deprecating humor that makes him evermore likable: “You’re going to see all of these amazing designers, and then there’ll be me on the end.”

Appropriately, iterations of some of his Met inclusions also found their way across the street-style blogs during the collections—variations on a plasticized jacket, a knotted-together hybrid of goalie pads and borderline ecclesiastic austerity. Green has whittled a niche for himself in infusing workwear and day-to-day uniformity with spiritual, or even cultish, overtones. It is a unique formula, and, as he says, it lends itself to being relatively “asexual,” which might explain women getting in on the mix. “Some of it, actually, looks a bit better on girls,” he concedes.

There could be an argument here that links Green to Jonathan Anderson, whose androgynous aesthetic is a defining trait at both his eponymous brand and Loewe, where he is creative director (Anderson recently sported his women’s designs on the cover of Fantastic Man). Or even Alessandro Michele, who’s made a gypsy-gender-blending splash with both his mens- and womenswear debuts at Gucci. But Green retains something different; where there’s a certain louche eroticism with Anderson and Michele, Green’s work is billowing and for the most part unsexy, save, at times, for its barefoot and loose-strung styling.

Green’s other looks in the Met exhibit feature wooden frames with trailing muslin, which, on the runway, wilted and breathed like pennants in a weak wind as the shoeless models moved. (The constructions recall his graduation show from Central Saint Martins, which featured similar appendages.) “Ultimately, it’s about serenity, which I think is also very Eastern,” says Green. Indeed, the Asiatic cues are undeniable—hence the Met nod—but the prevailing idea here is about peacefulness. Green seems to embody chillness in everything he does; and his wearers, boy or girl, appear to take it on as well. In a Zen-like impart, the designer inadvertently makes the wisest point I’ve heard of late, when discussing whether or not to launch a dedicated women’s line: “Once you start something, and it goes well, you can’t stop. But if it doesn’t go well, it’s very hard to do it again.” With that mindset, it’s no wonder we’re seeing—and undoubtedly will continue to see—such strong results time and time again.

Joni Mitchell Is The Star Of Saint Laurent’s ‘Music Project’ And We’re Freaking Out Over It

In case Céline’s Spring 2015 ad featuring Joan Didion wasn’t iconic or exciting enough for you, Saint Laurent’s news, while a bit more ambiguous, might just put you over the edge.

The label has tapped none other than legendary singer and songwriter Joni Mitchell to be the next star of its Music Project. Previous participants in the project include the likes of Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson, but at a time (and more specifically) a week where unconventional models are being chosen to pose for some of the most major labels, choosing the 71-year-old legend proves more than ever that models are not confined to certain ages or careers.

According to Saint Laurent’s Twitter account, Mitchell was photographed in her California home in a full YSL look including a leather cape made for her by creative director Hedi Slimane. The fashion house also noted that additional images are set to be released in this month’s V Magazine.

We can’t wait to learn more about this project, but for now we will rejoice in viewing the images. Well done, Saint Laurent.

Olivia Saint, Bishop

You’ve got to hand it to well hung black stud Bishop – he really knows how to break down and discipline one of his degenerate white whores! His girl for the day is experienced cocksucker Olivia Saint, a familiar face from many porn movies on the Internet. There’s no mucking around, but rather we see Bishop bent over at the waist while Olivia tongues his ass crack. She is gingerly at first but she soon warms to her task, ignoring the musky taste of Bishop’s ass hole and sticking her tongue right inside the butt crack! Bishop spins around and shoves his cock in to Olivia’s dirty mouth, throatfucking her and eventually spunking on her face.
