We’re only at episode 3, but Season 5 of Power is already looking like a wild ride.

BlANCAS INVESTIGATION AND ANGELA’S JIMENEZ CONNECTION

Officer Blanca Rodriguez continues to put the pressure on Angela as she discovers more connections between Ray Ray and Raina’s murders. Her investigation brings her to a Detective Leary who reveals Tariq’s inconsistent account of what happened that night. Everywhere Blanca turns, Angela is involved. Angela knows it’s only a matter of time before Blanca discovers the truth, so after meeting with Tasha to devise a game plan, she figures out a temporary solution. Angela sends Donovan to transfer all information regarding Raymond Jones to federal custody and away from Blanca’s jurisdiction. If Blanca wants to solve this case and discover Angela’s true motives, she’ll have to go about it another way.

Meanwhile, Angela has a major breakthrough in the Jimenez investigation. She discovers that Alicia Jimenez isn’t Diego’s lover, but his sister and the other command of the Jimenez cartel. She also has a new love interest in Steve Tampio from D.C. Angela hasn’t faired well with work romance before so I expect this to go extremely well…

DRE AND DIEGO CREATE A NEW ORG CHART

Dre holds a meeting with the organization to officially install Arturo as the new Toros Locos leader. Diego is there to witness the meeting and questions whether Lorenzo’s supporters will acknowledge this new regime. Arturo invites Diego to see how discipline is applied to the group. Dre cautions against it but Diego isn’t hearing it. The Jimenez don’t really give two f*cks about law enforcement, tact, or anything else. 2-Bit and Spanky are tight because Dre allowed Arturo to take the credit for the Lorenzo hit.

Diego watches as Arturo kills the traitors in the Toros Locos but continues to wonder how Arturo knew about Lorenzo’s coup. Diego then tells Dre he’s making Cristobal number two in order to keep the Toros in check. Diego also delivers Dre an ominous message to stay away from his sister or else. Wandering eyes will be cut out and fed to whoever crosses the boss!

Seeing Double: 7 Times Hollywood Made the Same Biopic Twice

steve jobs movie

In a recent press conference for the new movie Steve Jobs, Michael Fassbender, who plays the late Apple CEO, jokingly said he “studied Ashton Kutcher” to prepare for the role. Fassbender was referencing that other Steve Jobs movie, which came out in 2013 and imagined Kutcher as the visionary in the black turtleneck. These dueling films are just the latest instance of two different portrayals of the same subject (after all, Hollywood does love to recycle material). Here, seven other double biopics.

Sisters Born of the Same Sperm: I Used a Disney Movie to Define Donor Siblings

By: Amber Leventry/The Next Family

2015-08-18-1439919531-4740833-Amber1.jpg

“Hey, Eva,” I said to my daughter a few nights ago. “Want to spend Thanksgiving with Molly, Ethan, and the kids?”

My partner, Amy, and I had just made a plan to visit the couple who used the same anonymous sperm donor as we did to build their family of five.

“Yeah, yeah! I can’t wait to see them! Can we go now?”

I knew it was risky to tell her about plans to see her donor siblings several months out and several states away, but I was excited too.

“Not now. But you’ll see your sisters born of the same sperm soon.”

“Mama, they are just my sisters who live far away.”

My four year old daughter articulated something she felt, not something we forced her to understand.

Using a sperm donor, my partner achieved two successful pregnancies resulting in three beautiful children. We have a four-year-old daughter and twin two-year-old sons. Our house is controlled chaos at best. The house of the other family who used the same donor is eerily familiar to our own. Ethan and his wife, Molly, have twin four-year-old daughters and a one year old son.

We met this couple four years ago through the cyrobank’s sibling registry and have been building a beautiful relationship since. Our time spent together last Christmas has been used as a springboard to talk to our children about how they were made and about their biological connection.

Because their story is not mine to tell, know that details vary and conversations happen in different ways between our two families, but because our story is intertwined, some of theirs will be told here too. Bottom line: We’re all on the same page. And they talk about sperm a lot too.

Ethan is handsome, sweet, and smart. He carries himself with an approachability and kindness which makes you feel at ease. He is also a transgender man. Molly, who identifies as queer, is beautiful, confident and funny. I still find it fascinating that two open-minded, rainbow-loving, and card-carrying couples found each other, yet can still learn so much from shared and individual experiences.

Through candid conversations, questions asked by curious toddlers and stories told in books that reflect our families, the three oldest girls know they came from a sperm donor, sperm, their mama’s eggs and lots of love.

But when it came time to tell the girls that the sperm which made them came from the same donor, the adults wanted to provide a name to define what that meant. We wanted them to understand their relationship, but donor siblings seemed too clinical and informal. The kids shared a bed, tantrums and waffles while on vacation; they were more than that. We didn’t think the term sibling would make sense to toddlers and using the word sisters seemed potentially confusing. Not because we value their relationship as anything less than sisters, but because having a sister or brother who doesn’t live in the same house seemed like an abstract concept.

Sleep deprivation, ridiculous amounts of over-analyzing, and equating their relationship to a Disney movie gave us this: Our girls are sisters born of the same sperm, a spin on a mystery unfolded in the Disney Fairies movie, Secret of the Wings. In the movie the fairies Tinker Bell and Periwinkle learn they are born of the same baby’s first laugh. All three girls have seen the movie and if they understand anything it is a storyline about fictional fairies and talking animals.

2015-08-18-1439919592-7836111-TinkandPerie1438876907234.jpg

The same idea applies to our boys, but for so long it has been just the three girls. Their discovery of one another has been as magical as Tinker Bell and Periwinkle learning they are sisters.

Having not come up with anything better, we went with it. Within a few weeks after our two families’ time together in Florida, I told Eva that she, her twin brothers, and Molly and Ethan’s kids all had the same donor. She wasn’t fazed. The impact of biology meant little to an almost four year old. I tried to explain that since they shared genes, they were related, siblings, and part-sisters and brothers. As we thought, the words sisters and brothers didn’t seem to fit.

When I asked her what we should call the girls she said, “Family.” One night I tried out the phrase, sisters born of the same sperm. She thought that was hysterical, but it made sense to her. Of course she and the twins have so much in common. Of course they look similar. Of course their wings light up when they are close to each other. Okay, that last one only happened to Tink and Peri, but the excitement of learning the bigger connection she has between herself and the girls is real.
2015-08-18-1439919645-5800137-Donor1.jpg

2015-08-18-1439919671-6729090-Donor2.jpg

Even though the scientific words don’t mean much to the girls right now, the concepts of love and family make complete sense. And after a few months of our Disney themed phrase, the girls now call each other sisters. The boys will grow up with this as common knowledge, so there won’t be as much dwelling on how to define our family.

The relationships between Amy and I, Molly and Ethan, and all of our children are results of one man’s willingness to be a donor. Leave it to fairies to help us add reason to it all. We’re families born of the same sperm.

At Last, Same Sex Marriages How To Keep Your Shoes On And Your Feet Comfortable On Your Wedding Day!

Now that there are same sex marriages more men and women will be walking down the aisle in the hottest and sexiest designer shoes and say “I do” then ever!

The question every women may ask herself before she goes shoe shopping is, do I buy the shoes then the dress or the dress then the shoes? Pumps, Sandals, Peep Toes, open or closed create so many options for brides, what’s a women to do?

For men, trying to find the right tux or suit and shoe style should be less challenging.

Shoe designers such as Manolo Blahnik, Stuart Weitzman, Christian Louboutin, Steve Madden for women and Cole Haan, Calvin Klein, Alfani for men are just a few brands that will be purchased for that special day.

What one does not usually consider is shoe comfort, nobody thinks or cares about will my feet last throughout the entire day without blisters or foot pain except your podiatrist. Well just in case the “bride or groom to be” is interested in being comfortable in his or her shoes on their wedding day, here are a few important tips so you can walk all day and dance all night in comfort.

Regardless of the heel height or style of your shoes you want to try and be as comfortable as possible throughout the entire day. Besides trying to find the most glamorous or stylish wedding shoe, you should make sure the shoe fits properly. There should be at least a thumbs with of room in the toe box of closed shoes between your longest toe (usually the 2nd) and the tip of your shoes. Be careful not to purchase shoes that are too narrow or tight because your feet may swell a bit that day and if you have any lumps or bumps on your feet they can get inflamed or blister. For women who plan to wear sandals with straps make sure they are not going to irritate the front part of your foot especially if you have bunions or hammer toes.

Finding any shoe style that has adequate arch support is virtually impossible so after you purchase your shoes, look for an over the counter arch support that can stick in the arch of any closed or open shoe to provide instant arch support. They should not be bulky or change your shoe size. For women who choose to wear an open sandal type shoe there are products available to provide instant arch support for those too. This type of arch support will take pressure off the ball of the foot, eliminate burning pain on the balls of your feet and cradle the arch to prevent arch cramps or muscle spasms in the bride’s or grooms legs and feet.

Placing a soft insole in your closed shoes will cushion your feet providing instant comfort from heel to toe and reduce foot fatigue and burning.

So at the end of the evening when the shoes come off in your honeymoon suite the only thing you should be using ice for is to chill the Champagne, not your sore feet!

My Husband And I Live In The Same Building As My Ex. Here’s What It’s Like

As part of our Blended Family Friday series, each week we spotlight a different stepfamily to learn how they’ve worked to bring their two families together. Our hope is that by telling their stories, we’ll bring you closer to blended family bliss in your own life!

Christine Amour-Levar is used to people giving her the side-eye when she tells them about her living arrangement. The mom of four is remarried but lives in the same apartment building as her ex-husband.

“Most people look at our setup and think, ‘How bizarre. Why would anyone want to live this way, in such close proximity to an ex-husband or ex-wife?'” Amour-Levar told The Huffington Post.

“The answer is simple: It takes a village to raise a child,” she said. “There is much wisdom in this old proverb and it’s something we as parents have taken to heart in these formative years of our children’s upbringing.”

Below, Amour-Levar tells us more about her unique blended family.

Hi Christine! Want to introduce us to your family?
We are a family of six living in Singapore: There’s my husband Steve, me and our four children: Yasmine (12) and Malcolm (10) from my first marriage and Louis (5) and Angeline (3) from my marriage to Steve.

All four children live in our home while my ex-husband, Mike, still lives a few floors above us. The older children consider their father’s flat almost an extension of our home and zoom up the elevator several times a day to see him when he’s in town. (He travels often for work.) When it’s his weekend, there aren’t many changes to our kids’ daily schedules. My two younger children often accompany the older two to visit their “uncle” upstairs. They feel equally at home there and occasionally they all have dinner together. In their eyes, he is an important member of our family.

christine amourlevar

How does Steve feel about your ex-husband living so close?
It’s funny because when we met six years ago, Steve was 34, single, never married and just out on the town for a good time. On our first meeting, little did he know that I had a 6-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son waiting for me at home– and an ex-husband living in a different flat in the same building! I just had to explain the situation to him: When we split up after 10 years of marriage, my ex and I consulted a child psychologist who suggested living in such close proximity to each other would be the least traumatic situation for the kids — so that’s what we did.

Luckily, both men have been able to put egos aside for the love, happiness and well-being of the children. That’s what’s at the heart of our family’s genuine partnership. It’s not uncommon to see my husband and ex-husband chatting by the pool while the children happily paddle and splash about. It’s a scene that a few of our neighbors had to adjust to at first!

How do you make such a unique living arrangement work? There must be challenges.
We live close but we are very conscious of maintaining each other’s privacy. Respect is a huge part of it. When my husband, ex-husband and I interact or speak about each other in front of anyone — especially the kids — we do so with the utmost respect and consideration. The children feel this and take their cues from it. One day my son Malcolm even said, “When I grow up and become a famous professional football player, I will buy a big house where all of us can live together!” And by “all of us,” he said he meant his father, his stepdad, his mother, brother, sisters and all the grandparents, including step-grandparents and nannies!

What would you say are some of the biggest challenges of stepfamily life in general?
In our case, I am the mother of all four children but there are two very involved fathers in the picture. Juggling the various relationships is sometimes a little challenging. My ex-husband and I parent our older children very closely and consult each other often on important decisions but my husband is also very committed to helping us raise them. Steve is keenly aware and respectful of my ex-husband’s opinions as it relates to the two older kids, but he also has a point of view regarding how they should grow up and behave. It can be challenging!

What advice do you have for parents who are struggling to keep the peace with their exes?
I know it’s not always easy. It requires a certain type of individual who can look beyond the petty differences of opinions, the bruised egos and the emotional uncertainty that comes with any divorce. Ultimately, it’s about putting the children first and your feelings a distant second. Just remember: It’s the children’s fragile feelings that need to be placed at the center of the situation, not what you’re feeling personally.

The Wolfpack and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl Are Kind of the Same Movie

the wolfpack

For the vast majority of junior high, I spent all of the time I wasn’t studying or preparing for my dreaded bat mitzvah at the house of my close friend Jeremy. Jeremy had a cutting-edge home camcorder, an impressive array of props and costumes, working parents who allowed us the run of the place, and an unflagging patience for the art of stop-motion animation. (I brought to the table free time and a willingness to go with the flow.) We made a music video for “These Boots are Made For Walkin’,” in which I lay down in the middle of a winter Chicago sidewalk and Jeremy meticulously inched a pair of his father’s shoes over my prostrate body. We made a music video for “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” starring a Disney figurine with mobile arms. There were other, more ambitiously narrative projects, but they were either failures or I blocked out the details, because I can’t bring them into focus now.

Shortly thereafter, during our freshman year of high school, Dawson’s Creek premiered on the former WB network, and, though we were into it, suddenly being a young aspiring filmmaker with an unhealthy love of the work of Steven Spielberg (guilty as charged) became something of a cliché. I moved on to other pursuits, like writing and having unrequited crushes on boys. Jeremy kept making movies, and we began to drift apart. Filmmaking faded into the background for me, but I remember those years vividly, eating frozen Snickers, drinking Diet Cokes, and very slowly moving the arms of a rubber toy to express the emotion in Tina Turner’s voice. While other people were starting to have relationships, starting to smoke pot, even starting to have sex, I was running in the other direction, back, into a world of filmic make believe.

I’m reminded of this because tomorrow two excellent, Sundance Grand Jury Prize–winning movies will hit theaters, and they’re both about young filmmakers negotiating the world through the camera’s lens. As John Powers pointed out yesterday, Sundance, once a place for indie auteurs to tell boundary-pushing stories about grown-ups, is more and more a place for young directors to launch their careers with stories about even younger protagonists. What these two movies further show is that there’s actually nothing Sundance likes more than movies about very young protagonists who are themselves obsessed with making movies.

earl and the dying girl

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and based on the young adult novel by Jesse Andrews (he also wrote the script), tells the story of Greg (Thomas Mann), a socially maladapted teenager suffering through his senior year of high school in Pittsburgh. Greg’s mom (Connie Britton) is sweetly meddling, and his dad (Nick Offerman) is eccentrically nurturing (he seems to be based on Michael Douglas’s character from Wonder Boys mashed up with a kindly Dr. Evil), but they’ve given their son an appreciation for deep cuts from the Criterion Collection, and the long leash to pursue his singular love: filmmaking. Movies make up the whole of Greg’s existence: he wears Nosferatu and Film Forum T-shirts; his bedroom is covered in posters for Truffaut and Scorsese films; when he gets emotional, orchestral film scores swell up in the background of his voiceovers; and when the hot girl, Madison, touches his shoulder, he experiences it as an animated short in which a large quadruped pulverizes a small woodland creature with her hoof.

But most importantly, Greg devotes himself to producing elaborate spoof movies with his friend Earl (RJ Cyler), a process that involves “taking a film we like and making the title stupid.” These home productions, 42 in total, are actually sophisticated, Weird Al–style riffs on the classics: My Dinner with Andre the Giant; Pooping Tom, in which Greg wears a wig and is attacked with a plunger; A Sockwork Orange, featuring a sock puppet with a crazy resemblance to Malcolm McDowell; and, my personal favorite, A Box o’ Lips, Wow. (Say it fast.)

Though the concepts and the production values are high, and though each project even gets its own lovingly drawn cover worthy of an Olympia Le-Tan clutch, ultimately these films are sarcastically aloof, just one more of Greg’s extensive array of defense mechanisms, part of the same system that has him referring to Earl, clearly his best friend, as his “coworker,” or that sees him writing his college essay in the voice of Werner Herzog. The message is clear: I’ll reject you before you can reject me, and I’ll be really clever about it too.

All this of course changes when Greg meets the titular “dying girl,” Rachel (Olivia Cooke), his classmate who has just been diagnosed with leukemia, and whom Greg’s mom makes him befriend. Though they’re forced together by circumstance and parental decree, over the course of many afternoons hanging out and talking in Rachel’s decorative pillow-festooned bedroom, as Rachel loses her hair and grows more and more frail, they begin to genuinely care for each other.

But this is a movie that rejects formula on every level. So though Rachel is beautiful and smart and weird and likes Greg’s jokes and thinks his movies are cool, Greg’s voiceovers remind us again and again that this is not a typical Hollywood romance in which the doomed friendship turns into an uplifting love story. (I’m looking at you, The Fault in Our Stars.) Though there’s a prom plotline, and many meaningful snugglefests, and though Greg turns out to be a highly unreliable narrator, he is, at least on the surface, correct about this. We’ve got all the makings of a John Hughes movie: spunky, disadvantaged wise girl helps disaffected boy get all vulnerable. But then there’s the riff: Rachel is dying, and Greg, above all, probably really does just need a friend. (For the record: under the surface I’m still clinging to the idea that they’re in love!)

Seeing himself through Rachel’s eyes, Greg is able to overcome the boundaries of the formula he believes defines him: pasty, hedgehog-faced underdog doomed to live on the margins of society, producing snark and avoiding human connection. Rachel shows him, as cheesy as it sounds, how to become the director of his own life, the leading man rather than the sad clown, and, as a filmmaker, how to look past the surface to find stories that are more interesting, more complicated, more rewarding. In the meta narrative, that means that Greg makes a film that’s not at all pat or glib, something abstract and emotional and powerful enough to actually mean something (I’m being deliberately vague to avoid spoilers). In the master narrative, that means that Gomez-Rejon makes a movie that transcends its initial Wes Andersonian deadpan charms in favor of one that’s deeply emotional and gratifying.

the wolfpack

While you may be thinking that Greg must be the biggest cinephile to hit big screens this summer, that’s only because you haven’t yet met The Wolfpack’s Mukunda. The story behind this film is almost too amazing to be true: in 2010 the documentarian Crystal Moselle was walking the streets of the East Village when she spotted a pack of six long-haired, black-suited, near-identical young men. She chatted them up and uncovered their crazy history: the six Angulo brothers, along with their sister, had grown up nearly completely cloistered in an apartment on the Lower East Side. Their father, Oscar, a Peruvian Hare Krishna afraid of the negative influence growing up in the big city might have on his kids, was effectively their jailor; their mother, Susanne, appears to have been subject to many of the same restrictions as her children.

In the near complete absence of contact with the outside world, the brothers watched hundreds of movies. Eventually, Mukunda, somewhere in the middle in birth order, began transcribing his favorites into scripts for them to act out and film. When we meet the boys the process has become very elaborate. Not only are many of them pretty good at acting—they do an uncanny imitation of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson cleaning up brains in Pulp Fiction—but they create incredibly realistic props: cardboard guns with removable cartridges, a Batsuit that might actually fool you from a distance, a Freddy Krueger get-up.

While all of the Angulo brothers are passionate about film, it’s Mukunda who seems to be a driving force behind their production efforts, and also behind much of the action of the documentary. Quiet, prone to speaking as though he’s reading from a pulpy film script, Mukunda internalizes the characters he transcribes from the screen, and frames his family conflict in cinematic terms. “After I saw The Dark Knight, that made me believe that something was possible to happen,” he tells the camera. “Not because it was Batman. It’s because it felt like another world. I did everything I could to make that world come true.” Playing these characters opens doors figuratively and literally. “I have to be as strong as I can be to play Batman,” he says, “because it’s a responsibility.” Eventually, that strength helps him to seize some agency in his own life, one day slipping out of the apartment in the first open act of defiance of his father’s rules. It opens the floodgates for the family, and most of Moselle’s movie is about their journey of discovering the outside world.

But it’s also about Mukunda’s journey as a filmmaker. The homages the boys create throughout the movie feel like film versions of folk art, transcriptions that are just as interesting and original as the originals themselves. Raised in isolation, the brothers have grown up into a rare breed: teenagers without edge. They may swear profusely, they may act out scenes from incredibly violent movies, but they are never mean. Protected from the world, they have not yet learned to take a defensive posture against it. There’s none of Greg’s world-weariness; the Wolfpack’s productions are utterly earnest.

By the end of the film, as Mukunda’s contact with the outside world increases—I’m guessing that observing Moselle, a working filmmaker, didn’t hurt—he moves beyond rehashing existing scripts to creating something truly original. The film we eventually see him working on is a literal evocation of the very personal experience of looking out a window and watching his emotions, personified by members of his family, from a distance. It’s an achingly moving image for what his childhood must have felt like, and the perfect real-life corollary to the project that the fictional Greg creates, also an attempt to capture on film emotions he finds difficult to express in person.

As both of these movies seem to say, hanging out behind a camera can be a way of shutting the world out, but it can also be a way of inviting it in.

Meet The Lovable Couple Who Got Married And Went Viral On The Same Day

A day before their wedding, an emotional video of Kristie Scherrer and Tavis Doucette aging 70 years in six minutes (thanks to makeup and prosthetics) hit the Internet. The collaboration between YouTube channels Cut Video and Field Day quickly became a viral sensation with more than 14 million views.

via Tribune Media

“We realized it was released when we were on our way to our rehearsal,” Scherrer told The Huffington Post. “When we got to the dinner, we told a few of our friends who knew about it that it released and they all admitted that they had seen it. By then the local news had even picked it up. At the wedding everyone had seen it but us. We really wanted to watch it together and there was no time the day of the wedding.”

So 12 hours after their big day, the newlyweds watched the video for the first time at a screening with family and friends. A crew from Field Day was there to capture their tender reactions.

Credit: BuzzFeed via Field Day/YouTube

“Like [Kristie] said in the film, we couldn’t be more sure of the person that we’re with,” a misty-eyed Doucette says after viewing the finished product.

Although you don’t get to see or hear much from the couple’s family in the reaction video, Scherrer told HuffPost that their entire family was “deeply moved” by it.

“We don’t live anywhere close to our family and never have as a couple, so I think it showed them a more intimate side of our relationship than they are used to seeing when we visit,” she said. “They laughed and cried and were really proud of us.”

The adorable couple first met at a cafe on their second day of school at Wagner College back in 2006. They were introduced by a mutual friend and stayed close friends until their senior year, when their friendship blossomed into something more serious.

The couple moved from New York City to Los Angeles last year. Scherrer is an account executive at a marketing firm and Doucette is an actor.

“Which means I am a very experienced bar tender,” he joked.

Doucette and Scherrer said that neither of them anticipated the massive and overwhelmingly positive reception to the original video, but feel honored to have been part of the experience.

“Tavis asked if I cared if he submitted us for it and I said sure,” she said. “We went to the audition during my lunch hour and I really didn’t think anything of it. Then we got cast and started to learn more about the project and who was behind it. The director told us we could ‘expect some people to see it.’ But this kind of reaction, the responses and messages we have received, it’s been incredible.”

Watch their reaction video above. To see more photos from the couple’s wedding and from throughout their relationship, check out the slideshow below.

Why Woman With Same Name As 12-Year-Old Suicide Victim Wants Case Reopened

Twelve-year-old Rebecca Ann Sedwick (Becca) was found dead in September, 2013, and authorities ruled her death a suicide after what her family says was more than a year and a half of cyberbullying. Now, instead of being able to grieve her daughter’s loss, Becca’s mom, Tricia, says a whole new nightmare has begun.

Tricia says she is being harassed online by a stranger who happens to share the same name as her deceased daughter. Tricia says this stranger has falsely accused Tricia’s 20-year-old daughter of killing Becca and Tricia of then covering it up.

“She feels an affinity with my daughter because they share the same name, Rebecca Ann, and she’s also claimed to have a vision in her head of what happened that day,” explains Tricia, claiming that Rebecca Ann has waged an online campaign against her family, including, Tricia says, accusations of murder from numerous strangers who have joined Rebecca Ann’s online groups.

“When I messaged Rebecca, she basically told me that she was never going to stop,” says Tricia, who fears for her family’s safety. “She’s bullying, she’s stalking, she’s harassing.”

Rebecca Ann explains that she took an interest in the case when she heard a news report about a little girl who committed suicide. “I’m Rebecca Ann, so it did strike a nerve,” she says, explaining that she had a “vision” of what happened on the day of Becca’s death.

“Anybody that tells me that Rebecca killed herself because of bullying is misinformed, and I will fight to the death to prove that she did not do that,” says Rebecca Ann, who spends four or five hours a day working to have the case re-opened. “A lot of my proof is my own intuition. I want justice for Rebecca.”

Couple Is Divorced, So Why Does Husband Say ‘Basically Everything Is The Same’? (VIDEO)

Freddie and Jennifer have been divorced for nearly four months, but Jennifer claims her ex is still obsessed with her and refuses to let her go.

“My ex-husband Freddie is controlling, abusive, psychotic and delusional,” says Jennifer in the video above. “In Freddie’s mind, we are still married. Freddie has become my stalker. There hasn’t been a single day that Freddie doesn’t show up at my house unannounced.”

She claims that he has called hundreds of times in one week, and that she recently hung up a curtain to keep him from trying to look into her home. “Freddie is always accusing me of cheating on him … He told my 6-year-old daughter to check my body for signs of me having sex,” she says, fighting tears. “Freddie told me if I ever dated another man, he would rip their head off.”

Jennifer admits that she abuses pain pills but says she only does so to cope with Freddie’s alleged behavior and says, “My greatest fear is that Freddy can snap at any moment … He’s told me that he doesn’t believe in divorce. It’s ‘til death do us part. We’ll be married until one of us dies.”

Freddie denies all of his ex-wife’s allegations and tells a very different story. He claims the only reason Jennifer divorced him is because of her prescription pain medication abuse, and he says she is not thinking clearly. “If she was in her right mind and told me she didn’t want to be with me, I would move on. But she’s not in her right mind. She’s a total mess and a shipwreck,” he says.

Freddie says he’s fighting to rekindle their relationship and stops by regularly to help her out. “I bring her food so she doesn’t have to cook for the kids; I bring her money; I pay all the bills. We are divorced but basically, everything is the same.”

He adds, “I haven’t been able to move on from this divorce because I love her with all my heart. I really think we can make things work. I still wear my wedding band on my right hand as a symbol of hope.”

The couple admits their children are caught in the middle of the turmoil. Dr. Phil reads a recent note from their 6-year-old — will it be a wake-up call for both of them? Watch here.

Mom-To-Be Surprises Husband With Beer And Baby News At The Same Time

“What is this? ‘Daddy’s beer?’ … “Ohhhhh.”

So began the next stage of Jordan and Kelsey Cocklin’s life together. The Nashville, Tennessee, couple has been married for 18 months — long enough for Kelsey to know the perfect way to surprise Jordan with a pregnancy announcement.

“I love craft beer,” Jordan Cocklin told The Huffington Post in an email. “So when I got home that night, she told me she had a surprise in the fridge for me. I assumed she had found a rare beer, or a beer I really liked. I didn’t think twice about looking in there, or think there was something else going on.”

When Jordan peeked in the fridge, he found a rare beer indeed: Dad beer.

Kelsey captured the grand reveal on video in January, but the couple waited until a safe point in the pregnancy to share the news, posting the video to YouTube on Tuesday. Despite what looks like disappointment, Jordan says he was just shocked and is extremely excited to be a dad.

“This video, unfortunately, only captured my initial shock,” he told HuffPost. “I am BEYOND excited to take this journey with my amazing wife. We feel extremely blessed by this pregnancy, and are looking forward to the road ahead.”

“Our baby is growing and very healthy,” Jordan added. Kelsey is due September 30th.

Mary Lambert: I Thought Singing ‘Same Love’ Might Get Me Killed

Mary Lambert isn’t just open about being a lesbian. One spin of plucky single “Secrets” lays bare the singer/songwriter’s struggles with weight, bipolar disorder, a dysfunctional family and much, much more. Says Lambert with a laugh, “I’m severely out!”

2015-03-20-1426847582-7131854-MaryLambert.jpg

“There was a time in my life when I was starting out that I realized the people at my shows knew far more about me than my close coworkers did,” shared Lambert during a recent telephone interview. “I realized that was unique.”

Intimately confessional writing marks Lambert’s 2014 album Heart on My Sleeve. From past sexual trauma to bouts of self-harm, nothing was off-limits when writing the pop album, she said, because “it’s second nature to include pieces of [personal] history in my music.”

That much is clear. The singer’s lyrical honesty first gained mainstream attention on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ critically-acclaimed hit “Same Love.” There, Lambert provides the song’s yearning chorus, later extended into the even more autobiographical breakthrough solo single “She Keeps Me Warm.”

“I never thought I would hear a song like [‘Same Love’] on the radio,” admits the 25-year-old, who came out eight years ago. “I think that’s what was so emotional about the whole thing. I knew the implications of what we were going to do.”

Lambert relished Mackelemore & Ryan Lewis’ offer to honestly tell her story of being “hugely affected [growing up] as a Christian lesbian” — experiences she continues to process through in solo work. Still, in addition to being painfully aware of the potential impact “Same Love” might have upon release, she also knew its possible consequences.

“I’d never been anywhere, never been outside the metropolitan scene of Seattle, and didn’t know anything outside of it,” said Lambert. That meant she had no idea how others might respond to a song about same-sex relationships. As the time came to begin promoting it, she braced for the worst.

“The feeling of peace I got was knowing I was doing it right,” she said of accepting the possibility “Same Love” might evoke deadly backlash. “Knowing I was ok with that let me know I was doing exactly what I needed to be doing.”

According to Lambert, what happened next shocked her.

Not only did she not receive death threats, “Same Love” shot to No. 1 in countries around the world. With more than 136 million views-to-date on YouTube, the 2013 ode to same-sex marriage rose to No. 11 on U.S. pop charts and thrust Lambert into the international spotlight.

A “Song of the Year” Grammy nomination followed. Macklemore, Lewis and Lambert performed “Same Love” with Madonna at that year’s awards ceremony as Queen Latifah married 33 same-sex couples live on television.

“I thought I was going to be murdered,” Lambert half-joked, “But instead I got nominated for a Grammy!”

Her astonishment didn’t stop there, Lambert says. Performing “Same Love” live on Macklemore & Lewis’ sold-out, global stadium tour changed her life. The artist was overwhelmed with love each time she stepped onstage.

“They were cheering and crying…10,000 people chanting my name,” she recalled. “I had kids in rainbow shirts in front, looking at me… I couldn’t believe I was part of this thing that meant so much to so many people.

“All I wanted to do was make sure I was honoring it correctly and being a good representation,” said Lambert of the song.

“I couldn’t believe this was my life, especially after the shit show I’d been through,” she concluded, “It was really, really gratifying.”
