As spotted on High Snobiety Supreme has announced a new drop with Nike. Coming our way is a SB Dunk Low. It features a Hyper Blue colorway throughout the classic silhouette. Gold stars live on the quarter panels which is a nod to their memorable Dunk High from the 2003 season. Additionally gold detailing complements the stars via the “NIKE” embroidered heel, “NIKE”-branded tongue tag, and “SUPREME” dubraes. In terms of materials we get a crocodile embossed leather for blue portion throughout the shoe.
According to the story this is one of many Supreme and Nike collaborations slated for 2021. Stay tuned for pricing and release dates.

Sotheby’s has set a new sneaker auction record with the Nike Air Jordan 1 sneakers sold off earlier this month.
The sneakers Jordan played in in 1985 sold for $ 560,000 in the online auction, exceeding the previous record held by the Nike Waffle Racing Flat “Moon Shoe” from 1972 by more than $ 100,000.
The auction house teamed with collector and consignor Jordan Geller, who founded sneaker museum Shoezeum, on the online auction. Geller reached out to Sotheby’s to auction the shoes after the popularity of the ESPN and Netflix documentary “The Last Dance.” The sale coincided with the last episode of the documentary that airs on May 17.
The Peter Moore-designed mid-length sneakers were produced and worn during 1985 and signed by Jordan in permanent marker. Bidders ranged in age from 19 to over 50 from four continents, and 70 percent of the bidders were new to Sotheby’s. The value reached $ 300,000 within the final 20 minutes of the start of the sale and eventually sold at more than 3.5 times its $ 150,000 estimate.

LONDON — Louis Vuitton was one of the highlights of the men’s spring 2020 season, with Virgil Abloh transforming the secluded Place Dauphine into a tourist destination with an ice cream truck, balloon artists and Eiffel Tower keychains. He also debuted the 508 High-Top LV Trainer — an Air Jordan-like model with cream lilac and blue suede finishing and red nylon laces. There was a new, unnamed running sneaker style on offer, too, and both were accessorized with plastic luggage tags, serving as a reminder of Vuitton’s heritage in travel.
Vuitton has been offering sneakers for a long time, but it was only after Abloh came on the scene that they became as desirable as a Keepall Bandoulière — at least to the streetwear community. Obviously someone at adidas wasn’t wearing their thinking cap when curating a nod to African Americans. To many, A pair of mayonnaise flavored shoes were insensitive to say the least.
As per Hypebeast the sporting goods manufacturer definitely took a cultural loss when it came to their Black History Month collection. Included in the drop was a UltraBOOST model which in theory would make sense given it is one of their most popular sellers. Problem was it was an all white silhouette AND was named “UNCAGED”. Naturally the move got a huge side eye from sneaker enthusiasts and anybody with a bit of common sense alike.
Considering the set were made in the spirit of “Celebrating Black Culture” adidas released a formal statement apologizing for the huge faux pas.
“Adidas released a new collection in celebration of Black History Month featuring designs inspired by the Harlem Renaissance. It includes footwear and apparel across a variety of categories. Toward the latter stages of the design process, we added a running shoe to the collection that we later felt did not reflect the spirit or philosophy of how adidas believes we should recognize and honor Black History Month. After careful consideration, we have decided to withdraw the product from the collection.”
The sneaker has since been pulled. Other feet pieces included in the collection include re-invisioned versions of the Dame 5, Harden Vol. 3 and a Harlem inspired UltraBOOST. The adidas Black History Month went on sale starting February 5 here.

He was joined by Joe La Puma on the newest episode of Sneaker Shopping. The two toured the vast selection at Flight Club’s Los Angeles location as they discussed Baby’s style throughout the years.
Stunna detailed gravitating towards the Reebok brand in the early years of the label. “We were more into the Chuck Taylors and Reeboks. You know Nike was a fad at the time but our projects; we were Reeboks and Girbauds [jeans].
When asked why he has historically shied away Jordans he admitted that he didn’t stan for the highly sought after kickz. “I love Jordans but I don’t know the collection like that. I[‘m a Michael Jordan fan but I never been big into the shoes” he explained.
Naturally his sponsorship deal with Lugz was also a topic. Birdman cited the partnership as very lucrative. “They bought me houses. My house in New Orleans they paid for that; three million dollars”.
