Source Says Megan Thee Stallion Case “Open And Shut,” Authorities Slow To Arrest Tory Lanez

Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz

Two months ago, fans were hit with the news of Megan Thee Stallion’s shocking gunshot wound after a night of partying with Kylie Jenner went wrong in July. With the unfolding details all pointing to Tory Lanez as the shooter, there’s a growing concern as to why the pint-sized Canadian has yet to be arrested for his allegedly reckless actions.

In an exclusive scoop from PageSix, a source close to the situation says Megan’s case is “open and shut,” and suggests the lack of urgency to arrest Lanez is because authorities aren’t allocating the same resources to it as if the victim were a white college student.

“Sources tell us the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has been given all of the evidence believed necessary to move forward with the case, including witness statements, text messages, a 911 call, video, and medical records.”

Yes, the same text messages Tory sent to Megan confessing to the shooting and blaming his actions on drinking too much alcohol.

The tea spilling continues.

“The medical records, we’re told, prove that Megan, 25, was shot because the documents state the “Savage” rapper suffered “gunshot wounds” on the night of the attack. Initial media reports stated she cut her feet with glass.”

“This is not in dispute,” the insider said.

Initially, the “Savage” rapper wasn’t forthcoming with naming the munchkin as the shooter, but later had a change of heart where she called Lanez out directly. “I ain’t tell the police what happened immediately right then because I ain’t want to die,” she admitted during an Instagram Live video last month.

Nevertheless, the video and Twitter posts Lanez subliminally liked that justified the senseless shooting have also been added to the LADA’s evidence file.  And an attorney at Roc Nation, Megan’s label, has confirmed they are fully cooperating with authorities. So, why has he only been changed with gun possession since the shooting?

A spokesperson for the LADA claims the case is still under investigation due to pending lab results, not because of racial bias.

“We are awaiting the results of the full investigation, including lab analysis of physical evidence,” Officer Ricardo Santiago added. “As prosecutors, we are ethically and legally required to review all of the evidence in a case before deciding whether or not to file criminal charges. Race is never a consideration.”

Megan Thee Stallion says Tory Lanez shot her

Megan Thee Stallion has publicly accused Canadian rapper and singer Tory Lanez of shooting her in the feet after an argument last month.

We Knew It: Megan Thee Stallion Confirms Tory Lanez Shot Her: “You Dry Shot Me”

Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz

Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion. The Houston rapper took to Instagram Live to make the admission after citing Lanez and his team’s shifty behavior.

According to the “WAP” rapper, she believes Lanez and his PR reps have been sharing false narratives with the press. So an exasperated Meg felt she needed to set the record straight, completely this time.

Yes, Tory shot me,” said Megan matter of factly. “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and sh*t. Stop lying. Why lie?”

It was Megan who revealed she had even been shot, after initial reports said she cut her foot on glass. And after weeks (the incident occurred over a month ago in July) of social media detectives pointing to the jig and saying that Lanez must have been the shooter, now we know the truth.

So the next logical question is, why didn’t she tell the police?

“I ain’t tell the police what happened immediately right then because I ain’t want to die,” said Megan, who rationalized that police rolling up on Black people with a gun in the car could put their lives further in jeopardy. This is despite Lanez clearly showing no regard for her own life, per her claims.

“I didn’t tell the police nothing because I didn’t want us to get into no more trouble than what we was already about to get in,” she added.

But now, because she feels Lanez led to the Internet lying on her name, enough is enough.

“I didn’t have to spare that n*gga,” she said, referring to Lanez. “But I did, and I’m done.”

While the sense of looking out for another man may have some minor nobility (street code and all that), consequences must occur for someone shooting and injuring another person. Tory Lanez is in a world of trouble.

Just earlier today, the authorities said it was likely Lanez would be charged with a felony sooner than later. Clearly, the only reason he hasn’t been charged is due to a lack of witnesses. That has changed.

Also, it’s not snitching if you were a civilian and not up to any dirt. Just saying

This story is developing.

But getting back on his music grind, Lanez comes through with some new visuals to “Dope Boy’s Diary” which finds TL laying down the track in an open studio where loose leaf paper dances with the wind behind him. Rappers still write on paper? Thought they’d just jot everything down on their phones.

Last week while New York was put on lockdown and told to practice social distancing, Brooklyn’s own Casanova was captured dismissing the life saving recommendations to shoot a music video and caught the wrath of social media for doing so.

Well today we get the release of the now controversial video which led to Casanova getting chewed out by quarantined fans. In his visuals to “In My Hood” not only does Cas and his crew ignore CDC guidelines of remaining at least 6 feet apart from the next man (they allll huddled up), but he’s even dapping and hugging his mans and ‘em in the projects while sharing drinks and blunts. Our only question at this point is how many of them been tested for the Coronavirus? Especially homie who opened a package and tasted the product for confirmation. Just sayin.’ Aside from all that the video was cool.

For his visual to the album cut “Rocket Ship,” Future keeps things simple and humble by standing next to two riders on some dirt bikes that seem ready to get dirty for Mr. Hendrix.

Tory Lanez Clears Up 2Pac & Tekashi 6ix9ine Quip, Tells Fans “Get Off My D*ck”

Day Three of Wireless Festival including Pusha T, Tyga, Yuna and Tory Lanez

Source: WENN.com / WENN

Tory Lanez isn’t the first and certainly won’t be the last recording artist to have his words misunderstood, especially when it comes to someone as revered as the late Tupac “2Pac” Shakur. During a recent interview, the Canadian crooner and spitter seemingly compared Tekashi 6ix9ine to ‘Pac and he obviously caught flack for it.

While sitting down with Tim Westwood earlier this week, Lanez spoke on Tekashi’s legal predicament and how it went down during the very height of his career similarly to 2Pac.

“The only n*gga who had sh*t like that popping was Tupac. When Tupac was in jail he dropped the biggest album. Not to say it was the biggest album of all fu*king time, but it was a pretty big moment. It’s sad he’s gotta be locked up during it, is all I’m saying,” Lanez said, while mentioning Tekashi’s features such as Nicki Minaj and Kanye West.

Fans have been giving Lanez grief over the comment, but he fired back with a not so friendly missive himself.

“I did not compare 6ix9ine to 2 pac … I just said they both dropped big albums from jail at the level of fame that they had . Get off my dick,” Lanez tweeted on Tuesday (Dec. 4).

Welp, that settles that.

In a summer that’s seen quite a few big names drop new albums, Tory Lanez is looking to get some burn of his own when his upcoming Love Me Now? drops later this sweatin’ season.

To amp up his forthcoming album, Tory Lanez dropped a new clip for his Rich The Kid assisted “Talk To Me” where we find Tory in a few different settings with a few different females… and Tekashi69. That was hella random.

Meanwhile G-Eazy cruises the streets and the open waters in his Nef The Pharaoh and P-Lo featured visual to “Power.” That boat was made to hold 20 people but had at least 50 heads turning up. Gangsta.

Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Pure Powers, Lil Reese, and more.

Tory Lanez “B.I.D.,” Kygo & Miguel “Remind Me To Forget You” & More | Daily Visuals 5.8.18

Remember when going to the carwash was a big deal? Two Hip-Hop culture movies and a classic song were based around going to one wasn’t made for nothing. Well, Tory Lanez seems to still appreciate the wash and uses it for the basis of his latest visual.

“B.I.D.” finds Lanez and his crew taking their automobiles to get hand washed by some scantily clad young women before heading off to referee a game of beach volleyball by some bikini clad young women. Lanez is livin’ the life.

Miguel meanwhile seems to have women problems as a young lady completely destroys his apartment with nothing more than her dance moves in the clip to “Remind Me To Forget.”

Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Lil Durk, OMB Peezy, and more.

J. Cole just made a lot of folks’ weekend by guerilla styling his latest LP, KOD and with it a new clip in support of the project.

“ATM” finds the rapper getting his Busta Rhymes on and styling in various getups while having fun with some of his play dough to demonstrate that cash rules everything around him.

Meanwhile in Toronto Tory Lanez reminds everyone that things get real in Canada and gets into a shootout before finding himself on a soundstage with a particularly hypnotizing background model who stole the show in his clip to “Benevolent.”

Source: Photo by Rick Kern/Getty Images for Bud Light

While Drake has been crowned The King of The North for quite some time now, Tory Lanez could easily be considered the prince of the city and with his new album Memories Don’t Die fresh off the presses, he’s bound to get some more royal recognition.

Today the Toronto representative stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk with the morning trio (sans DJ Envy) and revealed some interesting tidbits. From the inspiration from his album title to why Nicki Minaj took her verse off of “Shooters,” Tory isn’t shy about being honest regardless of how he may come off.

Here are the 12 things we learned from Tory Lanez on The Breakfast Club.

1. Fake Friends

The meaning behind his latest album title Memories Don’t Die is based on the time his friends didn’t hold him down when some cats tried to rush Tory. That’s when he realized he was with fake friends and has since been particular about who he lets into his cipher.

Meanwhile further to the south side of things, Kodak Black lets viewers get a glimpse of his rap star life and the perks that come with it in his clip to “Fall Thru.”

Tiffany Holiday, Tory Lane

Tiffany gets lucky again when Tory moves into the neighbourhood! With her big, beautiful boobs Tory’s definitely a notch to be noted on Tiffany’s bedpost. When these two get licking each others slits the studio gets steamy quick from the heavy breathing!

James Fauntleroy Drops Emotional Tune , Tory y Moi & Rome Fortune Collab, & More | Wired Tracks 7.8.15

Singer-songwriter James Fauntleroy is notorious for sending listeners into a emotional place affectionately known as “The Feels.” His new song, “Broken Heart Broken Eyes,” is no different.

For context, “The Feels” is a place where dreams of a perfect relationship, anguish of heartbreak, and other lovey-dovey sectors of one’s mind intersect, causing a stir of emotions.

Prepare to be thrusted into that space in this edition of The Wrap Up. But don’t worry, records from Problem, Toro y Moi and Rome Fortune, rising rapper IshDARR and more provide balance in the list below.

Tory Lanez & Shlomo Groove, Waka Flocka Turns Up & More | Daily Visuals 5.22.15

While it may seem like most of today’s top talent is using this Flashback Friday to lay back and get their reminisce on, some up and coming acts are taking advantage of the available air time to showcase what they can bring to the current soundscape.

Tory Lanez & Shlohmo continue to appease the Swavenation by demonstrating that living life in the fast lane can in fact be captured in slow motion in “Acting Like.” And on the R&B side, Natasha Mosley risks alienating her female fan base—or empowering it—by letting her male audience know that she’s capable of one-upping their current girl in every category that matters to them on “Anything.”

Check out the rest of today’s latest heat, and one from Waka Flocka that we missed earlier this week, below.

Tory Lanez & Shlohmo – “Acting Like”

Waka Flocka ft. DJ Whoo Kid – “Turn Up Godz”

Natasha Mosley – “Anything”

KR – “Play My Sh*t”

Joe-N-Box – “Other Sh*t”

Delasean – “Real Estate”
