Suge Knight Was Hospitalized (Again) Before His Murder Trial Is Set To Begin

Preliminary Hearing For Marion 'Suge' Knight In Robbery Charge Case

Source: David Buchan / Getty

Suge Knight’s post-Death Row Records struggle life continues as the New York Daily News is reporting that the former H.N.I.C. was transferred to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center on Tuesday (April 3) and remained there until Thursday morning.

At a criminal court hearing last month Knight, 52, complained about his deteriorating health with the judge overseeing his murder case offered to sign a medical order submitted by his lawyer. Relatives of Suge told the Daily News that Knight suffered from dangerous blood clots and even had an emergency appendix surgery in March 2016.

Since his arrest for a fatal hit-and-run in 2015, Knight has been rushed to the hospital multiple times by ambulance and this most recent one is just the latest. Knight has pleaded not guilty to the charge insisting he was the victim of an ambush. Suge is currently on his 16th lawyer after his last counsel was hit with accessory to murder charges.

Suge is due back in court on April 23.

Judge Orders 50 Cent Trial To Continue Despite Bankruptcy

Just about everyone figured 50 Cent filing for bankruptcy was a ploy to get out of paying Rick Ross’ baby mama,Lastonia Leviston, $ 5M for leaking her sex tape. Well, it didn’t work.

The New York Post reports that federal Judge Ann Nevins didn’t go for Fif’s hard luck story of starting from the bottom and rising to the Hip-Hop that his lawyer laid out in court documents.

Says the New York Post:

“It is easy to forget that Mr. Jackson grew up in poverty in South Jamaica, a rough neighborhood of Queens, New York,” papers submitted in the Connecticut bankruptcy court by the rapper’s lawyer say.

“His single mother was murdered when Mr. Jackson was only 8 years old,” attorney Patrick Neligan Jr. wrote. “As a boy, Mr. Jackson dreamed of being a boxer, but by the time he was a teenager, he was caught up in a life of crime.”

But Jackson turned his life around after being shot nine times in 2000.

“After recovering from his injuries, Mr. Jackson determined to improve his life and focused on his music,” the papers trumpet, explaining he went on to become a multi-platinum artist who “typifies the American dream” and even became a philanthropist, feeding poor children and helping 9/11 victims.

Already on the hook for $ 5M the trial to see if Leviston gets any more money for punitive damages begins on Monday, July 20.

Trapped in a loveless marriage, Viviane Amsalem (Ronit Elkabetz) has long sought a divorce from her devout and stubborn husband Elisha (Simon Abkarian). But under Israeli law, all divorce proceedings are overseen by an Orthodox rabbinical court, which can only dissolve a marriage with the husband’s consent. And despite their estrangement, Elisha refuses to grant Viviane a gett (bill of divorce), inciting an intense domestic battle of wills. Fearlessly acted, written and directed (with her brother Shlomi) by Elkabetz (THE BAND'S VISIT), one of Israel’s finest actresses, GETT: THE TRIAL OF VIVIANE AMSALEM is at once a brilliantly-crafted and riveting courtroom drama, and a searing indictment of an uncompromising and archaic legal system.
