Remember when you had to be ready to knuckle up at a sneaker camp out in the United States? Well China is bringing those feels back in 2019.
As spotted on High Snobiety the recent launch of the highly anticipated KAWS x Uniqlo drop caused a real scene at a Chinese retail location. So much so that consumers sprinted into the mall location. Even before the gate was lifted fans crawled in to get first dibs. The frenzy was so lit that they eventually started ripping the wears right off the mannequins.
While this is nothing we haven’t seen at a Black Friday sale things went left rather quickly when some shifty shoppers couldn’t cop their wish list. Footage shows one individual tussling with another male in an effort to rip the t-shirt right off him.
The KAWS x Uniqlo collection sold out immediately online when it was originally released on Monday evening, China time. Thankfully there is more to go around as it is also hitting Europe on June 6. More clips from the madness below.

History has shown that Jim Jones can be hot or cold when it comes to doing interviews. Sole Collector got him to talking fashion and boy was it an appearance for the ages.
Capo was the guest of the newest episode of Full Size Run. Hosted by Brendan Dunne, Matt Welty and Trinidad James, the weekly sneaker talk and debate show had the Harlem native on a very rare wave. While this installment stuck to the script in terms of their usual segments some of the topics that naturally came up during the exchange had us in tears.
When discussing Nike Boots Jim made it clear that the trend actually started in Harlem around 2001 contrary to Wale’s 2007 song of the same name. When Brendan challenged him regarding Folarin flying that flag first, Jones emphatically responded, “Wale don’t want no sneaker conversation with me.” That opened door wider for even more peer shaming despite a compliment. “Wale get fly. He get fly but a lot of those sneakers he be wearing be boo boo.”
Jones went to be very critical on the chunky sneaker trend and rappers who look crazy trying to make the look work. “I don’t wear clown shoes. I don’t wear big shoes. I don’t wear shoes with three heels on them.”
While taking a stroll through memory lane of his iconic Diplomat swag days he detailed how Cam’ron always had a great rotation of sneakers. When asked about Dame Dash’s fashion influence on Harlem during that era Jim stopped with the compliments. “Dame was a little bit older and sh*t. Dame didn’t get too fly. He had the regular Harlem get up. He wasn’t the fly n*gga in Harlem.”
The rest of the episode is filled to the brim with gems including admitting to getting finessed by a bonduloo sneaker reseller, being low key responsible for SUPREME’s success and tongue f*cking. Yes tongue f*cking.

Salt-N-Pepa sat for an interview with Ok! magazine and reflected on more than thirty years of experience in the music industry. The groundbreaking group talks women in rap feeling like they had something to prove back in the day, at a time when rappers were questioning if hip-hop would even last.
“It’s been one of those things in hip-hop, believe it or not, it was a question of would hip-hop even last, then in the later time it was like, damn, we gon’ end up in Vegas one day,” Denton said. “And that used to be a joke — it was like Vegas was where your career goes to die, and now that’s where you go to live,” James added, referencing the group’s Las Vegas residency.
All these years later, they’re still in the game despite what a hater had to say.
“Women being women in hip hop at a time when it wasn’t that many women, we felt like we had more to prove,” James commented. “There was a lot of thumbs down, ‘they’re not gonna last,’ that type of thing… so we had to go hard in the paint. And, for me personally, I was in college. I always say school is great, but it’s not for everyone. For me, it wasn’t working out and I always wanted to be an entertainer, so it was just… there was no plan B for me. When you think that way, it’s like do this or die. That’s how I felt.”

Luckily the legal system was able to apply common sense to his situation. His lawyer Lauren Noriega claimed that the 56-year-old was at the scene by chance. “He wasn’t there to propose any business to Nipsey. He had no idea that Nipsey would be there” Noriega explained. Previous reports alleged Nipsey was meeting him to give him free clothes.
Lathan suffered a stroke while in custody and still has the bullet lodged in his back. His representative said he started crying when was told he would be let go.

As spotted on Hot New Hip Hop the former POTUS was of many to commend Wade on his 16 years in the NBA. The savvy politician sent his respect and regards via a pre-taped video that was played in front of the sold out crowd on Tuesday, April 9 when the Heat played the Philadelphia 76ers. As expected, Barack’s message was delivered with love, admiration and his signature approach to humor.
“D-Wade! Congratulations on a great run. Now, I know what you’re going through, because saying goodbye to a career that you love is never easy. I’ve been there. In my case though, I didn’t really have a choice. My knees were shot so I had to give up basketball forever” he joked.
Barack also highlighted Dwayne’s indelible integrity during the second portion of the tribute. “You, on the other hand, look like you’re still hooping out there, and I imagine it’s a little tougher when you just completed one of the greatest careers in NBA history. For 16 years you’ve given us high-wire dunks, big shots in big moments, more blocks than any guard in history, you were willing to sacrifice your body in the lane and sometimes sacrifice your ego in pursuit of a title. Whenever you got knocked down you always showed us how to get back up. You showed some Chicago spirit in you, and you did us proud” he added.
The night prior a formal party was hosted in his honor with several a-list of celebrities in the house. In true Miami fashion the likes of Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Chris Bosh, Fat Joe, Erik Spoelstra and Pat Riley partied in all white. You can view Barack’s touching video message below.

YBN Almighty Jay has turned himself in after being named a suspect in a felony grand theft case. While surveillance footage reportedly places him at the scene, where $ 80,000 in jewelry and cash was stolen from another rapper, Jay maintains that he is innocent.
“I ain’t guilty. I ain’t do sh*t…I got accused of sh*t I ain’t do. I ain’t do sh*t. I didn’t do anything at all,” the rapper told TMZ, who was on the scene when he was taken into custody. Watch him speak on it as he surrenders to police here.

Lil Bow Wow aka Shad Moss is looking extra funny in the light. Surveillance shows the rapper and actor getting in the face of his girlfriend, Kiyomi Lee, shortly before the altercation that got both of them arrested.
The video taken from their apartment complex shows Bow Wow and Kiyomi Leslie Holden taking an elevator up to their unit after a night of partying. The rapper looks PISSED at Kiyomi Leslie, because he rips something from her hand, and appears to berate her.
The video shows rising tension between Bow Wow and Kiyomi Leslie leading up to their knock-down, drag-out brawl over the weekend in Atlanta, which led to both of them getting arrested for battery.
Bow Wow’s post-fight injuries, including bite marks, make it seem like he’s the one who caught the worse of the fade. However, we can’t condone either one of these two putting hands on each other, but particularly Bow Wow.
Watch the video below. By the looks of the other two individuals in the elevator, this was not an anomaly.
The father of Floyd Mayweather Jr. made his mark in boxing as both a professional fighter and most notably as a trainer. However, a training session didn’t go Floyd Sr.’s way recently and he caught a fade but appeared to be fine shortly after.
TMZ Sports reports:
Floyd Mayweather Sr. — a former pro boxer who became one of the top trainers in the world — was at his son’s TMT boxing gym in Vegas this week, where he decided to spar with one of the younger guys.
It started off great … with Floyd Sr. stickin’ and movin’ and throwing some pretty quick shots — but, when the other guy started to fight back, it didn’t go well for the old man.
Floyd took a few clean shots to the head — sending him flying backward … and ended with the elder Mayweather lying flat on his back with his feet up in the air.
Before the jokes fly, Floyd Sr. is 66 years old and probably in better shape than men half his age. Anyone can catch the hands and it was just his time.
